THe updated Judging Program and Rankings System is currently ONLINE!!!

Raw Deal is already making a solid comeback in several areas.

Here's where we need you, the Raw Deal Judges, to help us out. As part of the "certification" process for brand new judges, we'll be instituting a "Judges Test" for each level of judging past the first.

In the first phase of Judge Certification, Level 1 will be considered "Probationary Judge Status." Note that you are not guaranteed to become a Level 1 Judge simply by applying, but if you are given this Level 1 status, you will be required to act in a professional manner when representing the RDPC.

In the meantime, our Commissioner D2 is in charge of certifying new judges.

Ok. I've got a list of judges almost ready to post.

We're about ready to open up the RDPC World Rankings.

If you'd like to run ranked tournaments, either post your info here in this thread or pm me.

Here's a little information about the upcoming rankings and tournaments:

Reporting Guidelines:
In order for tournaments to be ranked, they must meet the following reporting guidelines:

The Tournament must be advertised at least 2 weeks in advance.

The Tournament Manager must fill out tournament reports correctly.

Tournaments with less than 6 participants will not be counted in the official rankings, with the exception of 4 or 5 player tournaments run using the "Round Robin" pairing system (no top cut is performed.)

Tournaments must be reported within 2 weeks of tournament date.

The Head Judge can play provided the "Three Judge System" is used.

Player's full name must be used (first and last). (Players with a "nickname" only will not be ranked!)

If managers are found to be inputting false tournament results and/or reports immediate action will be taken.

Failure to adhere to these rules may cause results to be found invalid and not counted towards the official rankings.

Tournament formats (regarding deck construction) must fall under the "Official Tournament Formats" to be counted in the rankings.

Tournaments may use the following methods:

Swiss with top cut. (# rounds of Swiss style play followed by a single elimination "Top Cut" for finals)
Single Elimination (also known as "King of the Ring").
Round Robin pairings (Everyone plays against everyone in the event, with the best win-loss record determining final standings)

I've had a couple of people take the Judges test (found via THIS LINK) only to not include any identifiable information.

So lacking any type of info (aside from the email address) I filed those in the email folder labeled "Trash".

Anyone interested can re-apply, and we'll get the ball rolling once more!

So the tourney we're supposed to report for the test has all matches listed as wins. am I right in assuming they all count as pinfall victories & worth 3 points?
