Based on the voting as of 2:30 AM Wednesday Morning, this is how I would book the events:

2x All Axxess events.  - Yes, the option with the most votes was one each day. However more then 50% of the votes for AA wanted it less then all three days. 2 would be the compromise

1x Afterburn - Almost Double the votes of all other Afterburn options

1x Revo only - This is tough for me, part of me really feels that at least 2 should be booked. But the votes clearly make a case for only one, and surprisingly aside from alternate formats this has the strongest "none please" of any format.

2x RDC - The combined 3day + 2 day out weigh the one day only. I'm assuming the people who say "3 please" would be happier with 2days then one.

1x Velocity - The voting preference makes this really clear.

Alternate Formats - There are currently 12 votes for Alternate formats. Only 9 people have expressed what they would like to see for those alternate formats. Remember people, I'm not psychic. While "None" for alternate formats is ahead, the votes for the other three tell me that I need to book at least one alternate format.

Based on the responses that I see, I'm looking at either Royal Rumble/Battle Royal OR Tornado Tag

That would leave one free slot. For either the other other alternate format, or the 2nd slot of revo that I'm wondering about.

So with all of the information as mentioned above this would be the tentative layout. (Keep in mind there is another 2.5 days left in the voting, and people can change their votes, so anything could happen between now and then.)

Thursday  <Please remember times are tentative, nothing is set in stone>

8AM - Hardcore 24/7 Starts
Noon - Afterburn
4pm - Revo
8pm - All Axxess

Friday
11am - Raw Deal Classic
3pm - Revo
8pm - Velocity

Saturday
10am - All Axxess
3pm - RDC
8PM - Tornado Tag/Royal Rumble

Sunday 10AM - Raw Deal World Championships
11am - Something Raw Dealish for Everyone not qualified?
3pm - Hardcore 24/7 Ends

Quick Hardcore 24/7 Rules summary:
A sheet with the HC24/7 Rules and tracking info will be available as a downloadable PDF from TCO one week prior to the tournament.
After you receive your Gencon badge, affix any Raw Deal card to the badge so that both the card and the badge can be seen, and that the Raw Deal card cannot be removed from your badge.
Find me, or my designated Alternate, who will authorize your rules/tracking sheets.
(I'll be wearing either a black raw deal collard shirt, or T-shirt with Raw Deal on the Front, and Manager on the back)
Smash the crap out of each other.
(additional rules apply)

Sealed events will be dependant on the availablity of Raw Deal product from the Dealers room at a discount, unless someone shows up with a buttload of cheap product.

There is the brief look into how my brain is viewing this stuff.

NOTHING IS SET IN STONE. Meaning if you have any issues or concerns over what is suggested above, speak now... you have 2.5 days to let me know I should be doing something different. <Keep in mind I am doing my best to please as many people as possible based on the votes and feedback provided in this thread,>

Sunday 11am sounds like a good time to Rumble!!!
Yes, I wrote this. (see iwasmade4lovinyou)

I would feel better if you switch the thurs Revo to the 8pm Saturday slot as I knowafew of uswon'tbe there till late thursday

RainXTN

Personally I think this schedule looks fine as it is....might I add the suggestion that you make the Sunday 11am either a RDC event or a tornado tag.
-------------------------------------------------
Gen Con 2005 - Top 32 All Axxess with Los Guerreros
Gen Con 2006 - Um, went 4-4 Afterburn...stupid Tajiri
Gen Con 2007 - Well, we're not gonna talk about that...

CRASHER

I just would like if we could move the first event of the weekend back a little bit later in the day, or make it an all axxess since there is going to be more then one AA event in the weekend... I've been a big fan of the AB format and it's the one I know I am looking most forward to, so there is some selfishness in there... but of all the events that seems the one  most likely to be missed by people
Thanks to the much hated Revolution Format and Roman Reigns' spear I beat three other folks to be your current Raw Deal Champion and the "most irrelevant one in history" ...yay me :)

MediumSexy

Thinking about it more, I'd have to say that no format should run more than twice for a qualifier. We do have more than enough options when it comes to formats. I'll be updating my votes hopefully tonight when/if I can get to a real computer.

Yes, tag Team matches are very good.

Antigoth

We're getting near to the final 24 hours for voting.

If you know someone who might plan to be going to Gencon, who would be interested in having a say in this, please make sure they've voted.

Antigoth

Ok... Everything has been submitted to Gencon as follows:

Thursday
Noon - All Axxess ID# 2479
4pm - Revo ID# 2481
8pm - Afterburn ID# 2483

Friday
11am - Raw Deal Classic (Afterburn) ID# 2483
3pm - Revo ID# 2482
8pm - Velocity ID# 2486

Saturday
10am - All Axxess ID# 2480
3pm - RDC (AA) ID# 2485
8PM - Tornado Tag ID# 2489

Sunday 10AM - Raw Deal World Championships ID# 2488

All of the above events have requested space for up to 64 players. With the exception of the World Championships where I've only requested space for 32 players.

The following events I have not registered, but will hopefully run as "Free events" within the space provided for the other events.

Sunday:
11am - Raw Deal Tag Team World championships
Noon - Neil Swints Royal Rumble

All Weekend
Thursday 8AM - Hardcore 24/7 Starts
Sunday 3pm - Hardcore 24/7 Ends

Now we do the following:

A) Sit and cross our fingers that Gencon Green Lights all of the events.
They have all been booked under the Auspice of the RDPC.

B) Find some people to help run the events. I MAY be able to swing a couple of GM badges out of this. I don't know for certain. I'm still learning all the hoops I have to jump through to make this happen at Gencon.

Keeping in mind that Multi-Judge rules will be in effect, and judges will be able to play if they want, do I have volunteers from some folks who would like to help run the events at Gencon?

One final piece - the three events on Thursday, are booked on Thursday, because those are the events I want to play in. Thursday will be my day to play Raw Deal, unless I happen to Qualify for the Worlds, and I'll play on Sunday too.

Keep in mind anyone who wants to Kavetch about this - I do all of this because I love the game of Raw Deal, and not just organizing, but playing Raw Deal.

Before we take further steps in discussing some of the nuances of everything, I want to make sure that Gencon is willing to give us what we want. Once I know we have the space, then we'll start going into the specific details.

Questions, Comments, Concerns?

If by some miracle such as the acceptance of my application for Powerball winner, I'm able to make it - let's just say you wouldn't need the multi-judge system very much, heh.  However, I may be relocating in summer (MAYBE, still not sure) which would rule out any possibility of going.  Just thought I'd mention it.

Quick question since I hadn't played in any previous Hardcore 24/7 deal.

Do you have to pack foreign objects? I personally think it should be a rule that you at least need to pack 1 foreign object.

Not at all. Hard Core 24/7 Means that's how long the tournament goes for. When you sign up, until the final moments of the con.

Any time you're challenged, you can play your opponent with a style of deck that you both can agree to. You don't have to use the same deck for the entire tournament.

These are very brief rules... I'll post more later.

any chance at some sort of limited play?  sealed deck, booster draft, raw draft, or whatever else, i'd be interested

wouldn't necessarily need to be a qualifier maybe just side events each nite?

Currently I have some starter decks that were provided by Monkey that will be used for the annual Drunken Raw Deal pod on Saturday night.

Part of the challenge with this is having the sealed Raw Deal Product. Seeing how many retailers usually have some Raw Deal they're selling off for $25 a box, I don't see this being too much of a challenge to arrange. However it will be haphazard, and players will have to discuss it, as I don't want some poor guy (or girl) buying a bunch of old Raw Deal product, and then getting stuck with it, when everyone goes "Diva's Overload! That's Ass! I don't want to draft it!"

royal rumble format would be sweet.

Neil Swints version that's posted here on TCO? Or a different version?

Hey Guys this Year I'll be holding the Drunken Pod Championship.* Last Year things happened that didn't allow it. I currently have a Box of Rumble Packs and a Bunch of Sealed starters. I may do a slight entry fee to off set costs and I wanna do a really cool prize.* Maybe a Box or something in addition to the belts.* I'll have more details when it gets closer.
YES I wanted to win damn it cause I'm a Belt Mark!!!

I Need the Belt Don't give me a Raise I'll Just take the Belt.

I'll wear it and nothing else to Church on Sunday.

Has any thought (I know it is a little fresh) to perhaps naming, at least this years, World's in honor of Barron?

"The Vangor Toth Raw Deal Memorial World Championship"

A little bulky for a trophy or a belt I know, but still...

Maybe they can just name the trophy they give out every year the BVT Trophy or something like that. Kind of like the Lombardi Trophy goes to the Super Bowl Champs the BVT Trophy will go to the Raw Deal World Champion.

Big Bear

How about the Jack Martinez memorial award? Seeing as he actually died driving 300+ miles to play Raw Deal it might be more appropriate (and should have been done earlier)

CreedP

While that's worth honoring, without BVT and thus without Raw Deal, is there a Jack Martinez story to tell?

Big Bear

Yes, Jack Martinez was as nice a guy as ever played Raw Deal. He never complained when he lost and spent a lot of time with a local who was 2 brain cells short of retarded without ever complaining.  With morbid obesity,  a heart defect AND diabetes, he was not really supposed to drive long distances but as the only Miami guy with a car would routinely be the car pool provider for the Miami guys to get to Orlando.  He died in a car on the side of the Florida Turnpike, without his wife at his side while driving the local kids to a Raw Deal Tourney in Orlando. He was as good a human being as any one who met him ever will.

MediumSexy

Hey Big Bear. Can you send me a picture of Jack and a little write-up on him and such? I'm sure I remember him and I'd like to make a page on the RDP site to share the memories with others. I'll be making a page for Barron as well, along with any others that have been lost from our awesome family of Raw Deal'ers worldwide. there will be a link to the respective pages on the "Raw Deal Legends" page when I get the information and time to post them.

Sorry guys... been really crazy on a personal front lately... including having the 2005 Raw Deal World Champion - Frankie Ho currently hanging out at my house.

That man really knows how to use a wok, his food is amazing!

Anyway...

Gencon is fully booked, all events are being held in the regency hyatt ballroom.

All events were approved.
Next week I am working on the GM badge situation.

Check out the gencon event reg, all events are listed.

Sorry for not posting something sooner.
