What does 2019 hold for Raw Deal?

I know that everyone is not in the Raw Deal Facebook page so I thought I might as well post here too. I was thinking about hosting another large Raw Deal event this time in Chicago. Now I'm not entirely sure when or where so I thought maybe I would ask for some suggestions. I'm looking for any card shops, comic shops, or any event You think would host such an event. Last year I did the Planet Funkcon event in the Quad Cities so I'm looking to do something similar that means possibly even putting up a WWE belt from the shop. Maybe even 2.

Things to keep in mind.
-I'm looking to keep costs at a minimum. Last year I charged $30 per person and then $10 or $15 for entry into the convention. This is something I would like to avoid if at all possible. I understand conventions need to charge an entry to make money but I also keep in mind not everyone is going for the convention.

-If people are interested I would like to do 2 tournaments back to back. So that means I would need location for Saturday and Sunday.
The main Tournament would be Virtual Classic format the other one would be a gimmick tournament.

If I remember correctly (and boy is my memory shot.) I believe we had 16 people at Funk Con. I am wanting to surpass that with this event. Any help is much appreciated I want one more go at running a big event like this and to be a lot more organized. Funk Con wasn't bad by any means but I know I messed up with the way prizes were handed out last time. I want no errors this time.

Thanks everyone.

That's awesome, good luck to you.  One suggestion though, could you change the title to something specific to your event plans?  At first glance, it sounds like you're making a statement regarding all of Raw Deal, not just your event, heh.  Thanks.

FunkCon seemed to be cool, from what I heard, hopefully your next event is even better!  :D

This might be a good place to mention any general big event ideas in one thread still too

I'm still pondering an April 6th event in the afternoon (day before Mania, get it done in time before takeover and all) and somewhere in NJ, at this point I may just pick a resturaunt I used to eat in all the time and try to reserve like 10-15 seats in the corner since they're dead Saturday afternoons (and as long as people eat there all will be happy) .....anyone gonna be in the area for Mania, so I can judge interest better?
Thanks to the much hated Revolution Format and Roman Reigns' spear I beat three other folks to be your current Raw Deal Champion and the "most irrelevant one in history" ...yay me :)

I'll only go if it's in Allentown

Any large events outside of Gen Con, I'll gladly help in the way of prize support (prizes permitting). I'm currently gathering signatures on the all new BAS cards (same card text, just new design/look), so I should have a couple/few to select from soon.

Most of my other normal prize support stuff (signed 8x10s, DVDs, magazines, etc) are back in my storage unit in California, but I will be working with Nash this weekend and may stop by storage and grab some things.

Anyone planning to hold a large(ish) type of open tournament, feel free to hit me up and I can see what I can do.

Thanks,

We've had a couple of successful events in the New England area recently both at Gardner Game Knights and Gaming Ect. 20+ for each and we'll be running another the day of Wrestlemania at Game Knights. If you guys are interested I've linked the FB page below. So far it's Sealed format (this time we're trying Raw Draft to mix it up a bit).
