So I was wondering... We currently run the World Championships first thing Saturday Morning.

If you plan on going, would you like us to change the time/day?  I want to ask if people would be more open to a different date/time. 

Accordingly I also need to co-ordinate this with the Supershow people, and since I'd like to submit events for Gen Con by Sunday, please let your voices be heard NOW as opposed to later.

I'd prefer Saturday morning due to logistic issues - there may be some people who can't be in until Saturday due to real life commitments.  But if it moves, I guess we'll adjust as necessary.

Saturday morning is ideal, but if moving it to Friday bumps the attendance then I am wholly for it

I'm there the whole 4 days and I don't care when it is just that it is!

You know Supershow tends to have bell-time at some point between 5 and 6 (except for Sunday, obviously).

As for worlds, I got the whole weekend off work so I should be there every day...
Participating for me this year may be a different story.

I'm for any day honestly. I'd like to see our numbers increase. So whichever day that makes it happen I'm all for. Does anyone from Super Show have the dates/times for their events?

Saturday is the most likely day for me if I am volunteering at Iello. If I am not then it doesn't matter.

I can do Saturday, but personally I prefer a different day like...Friday .

I would want it to work with Supershow for sure, but as far as a day goes I would prefer Saturday, only because either I might try to save money on a hotel night and come Friday morning, and I like to enjoy my first day there

But as the reigning and defending, we will make it work with whatever you guys wanna do. Whichever day has the most numbers

Also just a side note, wouldn't this be the 2017 World Championship? The topic title is 2016

Yeah 2017.  I'm one of those weirdos who can't stop writing 2016 on his dates.

So far a lot of "meh" responses and more weighted towards Sat than Fri.  Still if you have an opinion, let it be heard here.

I however...WILL be attending this year to take as much abuse as you guys can possibly dish out.  (Except 3 TMF's and a Rated R Spear on turn 1 from Big Poppa Pump, that is too much abuse!)

This discussion hasn't come about yet, but this seems like the thread to ask it in. 

1.  What are the formats for Worlds?

2.  Are of the cards that will be legal for Gencon currently available, or will there be a set released between now and Aug17?

We don't release sets directly prior to GenCon, though we often 'debut' them there.

There are promo cards, but we try to give some notice so players know what to expect.  (Some are just alternate art Superstars, or otherwise non-game changing).
