Current Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano was getting ready for the draft when he thought to himself that this would've been the year one of his former players, Eric LeGrand, would've come out and entered the NFL. Key word being "would've", because LeGrand was unfortunately paralyzed during a kickoff in a game in 2010.

Schiano has stayed close to LeGrand. And today, Schiano showed just how loyal and committed he is to LeGrand by signing him as an undrafted free agent.

Now to make things clear: he's not being paid by the Bucs. But Schiano has done a lot of work in raising money for LeGrand and this was done as a tribute by Schiano to LeGrand's determination to walk again. It may be only a symbolic signing, but I applaud Schiano for making the gesture and demonstrating that he hasn't forgotten about LeGrand now that he's in the NFL.

The only thing that would make this story better is if the Bucs make an Eric LeGrand jersey and donate all proceeds towards spinal injury research.

This is seriously one of the coolest things I've ever heard. Kid gets paralyzed and has to go through all those difficult times keeps his head up the whole time and now he can say he made it to the NFL, so awesome.
