Ladies and gentlemen,

Due either to print errors, or text cleanup, or (heaven forbid) balance issues, we've issued errata on about 20 cards.

I've updated the PDFs with the appropriate errata for newcomers.

For those of you that have already downloaded and printed NRD1, NRD2-1, NRD2-2 and NRD2-3, I've put an ERRATA PDF with the other links, which contains all the active errata.

In case you need a reference, I'll put a list of the cards which received errata below.

Cheers,
Bryson

Oh, I forgot one.

The card "Trademark Finisher" is RMS.

That won't be reflected in this series of errata but is considered MRP.

Do you think that you can list off the errata in case someone hasn't updated their cards yet and needs to know what the differences are?

Isn't Wrist Lock a little redundant?  Seems to me like the first part is saying what the second part is saying.

Shouldn't it read: Can only be reversed by reversal cards with "Set-up" or "Hybrid" in their text.

What is an example of a reversal card with "non set-up" in their text?

Most of the standard action reversals (All Talk No Action, Two Things, No Chance) say that they reverse any non-Set-up Action.

Every Reversal with non-Set-up in its text also has Set-up in its text (seriously, it's right there!), so the text is very much warranted.

I can't argue with that logic, it's pretty sound.  ;)  I think that explains the need for the second line of text.  I am missing something pertaining to the need of the (what seems to me) redundant text?  Can be reversed by ... and can only be reversed by ...

Daeva

The first part gives cards with "set-up" and "hybrid" in the text permission to reverse Wrist Lock, even if they normally don't hit a 2D Arm Submission. The second part tells everything that doesn't hit set-ups and hybrids to bugger off. The second part could imply the first, but for clarity's sake, having both there doesn't hurt.

Consider the following:

"Can be reversed by reversal cards with "set-up" or "hybrid" in their text and can only be reversed by reversal cards with "Set-up" or "Hybrid" in their text."

This can be broken down into two component parts:

A: "Can be reversed by reversal cards with "set-up" or "hybrid" in their text."
B: "Can only be reversed by reversal cards with "Set-up" or "Hybrid" in their text."

Now consider these (imaginary) reversals, and how they respond to A&B.

Gregor Mendel Interferes
Reversal
Reverse any submission or set-up.
F: 0     D: 0

This would reverse cards with A or AB or B.

Reach for a Sandwich
Reversal
Reverse any set-up.
F: 0     D: 0

This would reverse cards with A or AB, but not B.

Break the Bank
Reversal
Reverse any submission.
F: 0     D: 0

This would reverse cards with A, but not AB or B.

In summary:
A allows for reversal cards which would /not otherwise be legal reversals/ to be eligible.  IE, Hold the Phone reverses Wrist Lock.
B prevents cards like Break the Hold from being legal reversals, which would otherwise be eligible to reverse.  IE, Break the Hold doesn't reverse Wrist Lock.

Does that clear things up?
