I got the email about two hours ago from Gen Con, but they have officially moved the dates of the show from Early August to September 16-19.  https://www.gencon.com/ is also showing it.

I don't know what this will mean for Raw Deal at the event, I know many of the people on here have families and kids (and that means school).

So Snake Pitt has a base Agility of 7; but if he has less cards in hand then his opponent it goes to 8.

So my question is this:  Can he pack the 718 (which has a requirement of an 8+ Agility), and just have it a dead card he can't play until his ability is active?

As the link says, Chandler Biggins (Chris Bryan) passed away last night.
If you don't know who he was, he was one of the promoters of Absolute Intense Wrestling, the big promotion out of Cleveland, Ohio.


On a personal level, this one hurts a lot.  As a worker, I was lost and needed a place after my old school went on hiatus for a year.  It was Biggins who allowed me to become a part of the AIW family and to meet people who I now consider good friends, and if it wasn't for him I probably would have given up on the dream and be left without a direction.  Because of him, I kept going and have another family of big, sweaty men (and a few women) that I can go to with a lot of different things.
As a guy, he was always the life of the room.  Sure, he was out there with the conspiracy theories (We all know Werewolves are weak to silver, not just a knife), but he was always welcoming to everyone; even if you were not part of the direct AIW family.

To hear people start to say something last night at work, I just assumed it was a rib and was going to contact the big man when I got up.
Unfortunately, it wasn't.  Now, I'm at a loss; I fully expected him to come back and be the Biggins of old.  That can't happen now.

So this happened...

I was about to open LackeyCCG, and it opened... for all of 30 seconds.
Then the program shut down on it's own.

I go to use the shortcut on my taskbar, and it tells me the file is no longer there and the shortcut deleted itself (as it will in Windows 10).

I go to the actual .exe file (the core file to run the program), and it's no longer there.

I do a full system search for LackeyCCG, and nothing comes up.


Finally, I look at the log files of all of my background files to see if anything happened.



As it turns out, at least on the Anti-Virus program I use, LackeyCCG.exe is now being listed as a potentially harmful program and will not even let the file run.
So, I don't know if it's happened to you yet, but Lackey may not be usable as potentially harmful program definitions goes downstream from pay-users down to the free users.

So I was wondering, if I was playing <R> Jerishow in VAA; would The Best in the World at What We Do be illegal by default?

So as it's already being talked about on here (mainly when talking about when to hold Raw Deal Worlds and other events), I figured I might as well start on here about the other ends, mainly logistics, as that's the big topic on both the Gen Con Facebook group and the Gen Con forums currently.

Thanks to a few things, I have the potential to get a Downtown room for the big 50.  Granted, it'll be over $2000, but that's not important for me.
Now, two things comes to mind because of that.
1.  This is especially good if you fly into Indy.  If you want to room with me and all of my offbeat shenanigans (not that you'd be immune if you're there), I am more than willing to house someone *legit* with me (message me privately so we can talk more details if interested).  Also, it'll be a few blocks out, but if you wanted to "rough it," that would be a place to shower to help out that deaden Con Funk.
2.  Since it would be close, I could use it as storage.  This one goes mainly for Drew (RDPC) and Steve (SRG).  You wouldn't need to carry a bunch of support and product from outside town each day.

The bolded part is my question.  Is it:
A.  My maneuver protected by my ability is reversed and I have lower fortitude; or when my D:5+ move is removed and I have lower fortitude.

So Rowan is behind in Fortitude and Plays the Cranial Crunch; he removes 2 when playing it to activate the text.  Since it's a Rowan-Specific, it's affected by the Sheep Mask.



The question:  From the Sheep Mask, is the move not even a multi at all or just not considered a multi for the effects out (Drawing a Blank)?

So my brother saw the Ricochet set and used it the other day, and he brought up an interesting timing breakdown that I didn't know the answer to.

Let's assume the King plays a Flying Face Buster, does he draw BEFORE or AFTER he pulls the card from the discard pile?

Ricochet:

Can Two-Man Power Trip pack the Can of Beer?

... I FINALLY got word as of leaving work this morning that my requested vacation days for GenCon time was approved.
I could go on about how much of a  :police: it was, and the circumstances on why it was bull :police:it took me this long, but I won't.

The fact is, I should be able to go to the big World Championships this year.



But now, comes the problem.
Because it took me this long, I don't have any of the reservations made, including hotel, or anything for the events.
Granted, driving to Indianapolis is only 5 hours, so plane tickets aren't needed (and either vehicle I could drive would still be cheaper than flying from Columbus).

To simply put it into a one word statement about GenCon for me...
HELP!

Ok, so I've been keeping quiet on this, since I didn't want to make people happy (namely the Lackey people), but I think it's time I need to get my frustration off my chest.

Last year, my local cable and phone company hired a contractor to extend their cable line out to the county line on my road.  The project was slated to be finished by the end of June.
This means I would have gotten high speed out in my area.

As it turns out the contractor didn't quite live up to their end of the deal.  Just so people know, I live just outside a small little... I'd classify it as village, but it's not even that.  It's called Bloomfield, Ohio.  The only things in it are the township hall (that building is smaller then my room) , a church, and homes.
The contractor only drew the lines out to the edge of Bloomfield.  This means that in reality, I am a few feet short of being able to get cable lines here.  Frustrating enough, especially since it'll probably take a few years for the contractor to be forced to complete the job they were asked to do.

It gets worse.

Because of that debacle, the company offered those of us who would have gotten the cable but didn't were being offered Satellite services at a HUGE discount.  Needless to say, we took advantage...
Or we were going to.

As it turns out, there's two trees blocking the view of the satellite.
Now, this would have normally been a situation where we'd have them install the manual end and I'd cut the trees myself and test the connection from there.

NOPE!  As it turns out, the trees have overgrown and are covering the power lines.
So that solution seems simple enough, get the power company out and have them clean it up.

AEP Ohio comes out, and despite the fact that their lines are being completely covered (and by this, I mean surrounded) by branches and the trees are starting to go, the inspector deems the branches don't pose a threat to the power lines.

So I'm in catch 22 right now on high speed internet, and unless the trees finally go (and probably taking power with it), it looks like I'm not going to have high speed for a good long while.

Let me preface this by saying that it's still happening as I type this, and I will update as I get information.

As some of you know, my brother's wife was pregnant with their first child.  I know they were excited for it, and I was excited as well; my first outing as the crazy uncle (and if you know me and shivers didn't go down your spine, you have problems).

Well, this morning, she started having severe cramps.  She had to go to the hospital, and as I type this, they don't know if they baby, or she, is going to be ok.

Clearly this is not the way anyone wanted this to happen.  I'm on my way out to see them in the hospital, and I'll post more when I can get more information.
