I just wanna try and revive this and toss some thoughts out:
1. Considering all the turmoil USC has gone through lately (Mark Sanchez leaving, losing both coordiators, naming a freshman as the starting QB, losing their #2 WR for two months), Ohio State HAS to jump on this and beat USC when they face each other. If they don't, it'll be a golden opportunity squandered.
2. Michigan is going through turmoil of their own, with the recent allegations of violations over practice and workout time. Normally, I wouldn't take it too seriously with no investigations completed, BUT this is Michigan. I have never known ANYONE either past or present to blow the whistle (or snitch, depending on your perspective) on the Wolverines. I'm still gonna wait, but I do find this troubling.....
3. Lou Holtz isn't as crazy or as much of a homer as you may think. Check Notre Dame's schedule. It's entirely possible given who the Irish are returning and who they're facing that they could end up playing for the National Championship. They're facing a LOT of programs with either new coaches or new QBs, and the relative ease of their schedule could very well lead to playing for the BCS Championship.
