LA is up 3-1 after Dwight Howard and the Magic let the Lakers back in it in Game 4.

Barring a miracle, Kobe will finally get his without Shaq and prove without a doubt he's one of the top 5 players of all time.

And he did.

Lakers won Game 5 99-86 to take home the NBA Championship.

So many individual storylines to go with this: Pau Gasol will NEVER have his toughness questioned again, Phil Jackson passes Red Auerbach for most championships as a coach, Trevor Ariza emerges as a force, Derek Fisher getting this season after his daughter falls ill, and Kobe finally doing it as the main man.
