Just another view on the "hot pack " thing , as we all know draft is pretty much random? , by making it random means that it is base on luck right? If person A got a hot pack from 1 of the 4 packs he gets , i don understand why can he use the foil for his deck building ,think of it this way what if person B gets rares that are as good as his UR won't that be  a disadvantage to person A?and he would loose 10-11 common/uncommon/rares that person B might get so i feel it is fair IF anyone gets a hotpack would be allowed to use it to his will .

Tell you what, I'll trade all 4 packs of my draft boosters for that hotpack. It means you have 7 boosters to work with. I'm satistfied with that 1 pack of unusable shinys and a starter. Deal?

hmm , NOt a fair deal anyway what i am trying to say that if somoene lucky enough to get a hotpack he should be able to use it to his full potential. in anycase i would also trade all my packs +my starter for a hot pack espically now since that the foils are in random order is very hard to get foils because our singapore raw deal trader (kun qi ) cant "feel them"

First of all, your must get it clear that getting more UR doesn't mean your deck is stronger than your opponent. Also, a hot pack will only have at most 2 UR for each superstar. The distribution is equal. 6 superstar, everyone will have at least 1 UR in the hot pack. 4 more extra, so which makes 4 superstar having 2 UR and 2 superstar having 1 UR only. So, it is IMPOSSIBLE that 1 player will get too many specifics.

Furthermore, like i said earlier, having more UR doesn't mean advantage over others who have less UR. I cannot enforce on this point anymore. People should get rid of this mentality.

I agree in constructed more UR not equal to GOOD. I frequently only use starter foils and a couple URs (Bobby Lashley only uses hardhitting).
However, in draft, the UR cards have a power level above many in a limited pool of cards. One UR is a good advantage. More than 1 may tilt the balance.

Anyway Aaron wants to provide a balanced tournament. Follow his rules, it is not unreasonable, its not like letting opponent DTTAH your Showtime.

You pay the tourny fees, you randomly get 1 starter and 4 boosters (all revo 3).

You can only use the cards you get to build a deck for the tournament

In other words what you would need to bring that day for the tourney would be only the fees,no deck/cards needed .Once you get the starter which is given out at random and 4 revolution 3 packs you would than be given a period of time to "construct your deck", using those in the starter and those in the booster.

Another suggestion: Bring deck sleeves. And pray before you leave your house

yes correct. deck sleeves are required. it ensure fairness and protects your cards. you wouldnt want to see your cards being shuffled naked and at the end of the day, your cards are all bent and torn

Actually I prefer playing with out sleeves, it keeps people from using marked sleeves, and a=since the cards are next to worthless it doesn't matter.  If your cards are bent and torn you have a physical handicap that prevents you from handling cards with care because it is not difficult.

It is easier to mark a card than a sleeve.

Little imperfections can either be due to carelessness or a mark. (That little white spot, for example, can be a mark to say the next card is a divine intervention, and do not discard cards to sustain opponent's damage.)

Not to say people can know where the foils are simply by an imperceptable touch. Rey Rey with Too Fast For You in his starting hand every game may be a bit too much)

My cousin, a magician, controls cards by touch. It is harder to bend and manipulate cards in a sleeve. Not to say it can't be done, but it is harder to dop unnoticed

I think 15 played. I'm not quite sure though, because I only went there for awhile. I didn't join the draft. Lester got a My Way and 1 Umaga ultra rare(not sure which one is it). I'm not quite sure about other's situation. However, there are many new faces, and it has been quite a long time ago when we last seen the turn out hits 15. It is a good sign for us.

15 played.

The standard homerun win tournament with Shawn M.

Finals he 1 turn KO Rick Flair.

WTF right?

I got Umaga. Lots of maneuvers, but that also means maneuvers that come my way have an irritating tendency to go through all the way.

Tourny report... simple

Round 1
throw maneuvers at taker- win

Round 2
The standard keep recycling his kip up. then his maneuvers that come all do full damage- lose

Round 3
Stone cold have insurance (shuffle 4), ability for the 4, do the antic that gives next maneuver +10D and momentum- lose

Round 4
Thow maneuvers at Undertaker- win
