Dude Love question
« on: August 08, 2019, 08:20:45 PM »
Dude Love
Starting Hand Size: 4     Superstar Value: 2
Superstar Ability: Your Arsenal may contain up to 3 Mankind and up to 3 Cactus Jack Superstar cards. These cards are blank except where specifically mentioned on the card titled Split Personalities Have Benefits.
During your opponent’s Draw Segment, he may draw 1 additional card.
Once during each of your turns, you may put 1 non-unique card from your Ringside pile into your hand. Your maneuvers are -1D.

Since 'Contain' is different than 'Pack', do the 6 superstar cards take up arsenal space in my deck?

Dude Love
-The Mankind and Cactus Jack Superstar cards are of the card type: Superstar Card. They do not do anything other than take up space in your Arsenal/Hand/Ringside pile, except where specifically noted.
-The Superstar cards in Dudes Arsenal are not Unique. They cannot be searched for with One of a Kind.
-Dude Love cannot have Superstar-specific cards in your Arsenal unless they have the Dude Love logo. EXAMPLE: Dude cannot pack Mr. Socko, even if there are 3 Mankind Superstar cards in the Arsenal.
-There cannot ever be more than 1 Superstar card on top of Dude Love.
-If Dude Love becomes Mankind or Cactus Jack, the Dude Love Superstar card is ignored entirely (Ability, Superstar Value etc.) Any other cards, such as belts, are unaffected.
-If Dude Love becomes Mankind or Cactus Jack, Dude Love-specific cards can still be played, unless otherwise noted. The cards are legal as an Arsenal construction rule, changes during the game do not alter this.
-Foley is Good does not interact with Dudes Superstar Ability. It only affects damage increasing abilities.
-Dudes Superstar-specific cards are affected by Hell in a Cell Match since Dude Love is not listed, unless those cards also have the Mankind or Cactus Jack logo.
-Dude Love may play any version of Tree of Woe, due the Most Recent Printing rule.

Dude Love was written before the "pack" rules term. If Dude Love was written today, he'd say, "You can pack up to 3 Mankind and up to 3 Cactus Jack Superstar cards in your Arsenal."
