Devil's Favorite Demon

Here's the list I played at FunkCon. Went 4-1, losing in top four where my last four cards in arsenal were my two TMFs, Divine and Sloppy and I had the fortitude to play the TMFs turn two. It just wasn't meant to be!

Squeeze in a Making Your Escape somehow, learned it the hard way after facing a Volley deck that you can't play this deck without it.

It was in there for a long time, but got cut right before the tournament. I’ve never had problems with a Volley deck and heard that FunkyBunch are heavy on heel decks, so I put in Playing By The Rules TB and it was a wise choice when I faced Heel HHH. If someone really wants Making Your Escape, this is probably the card to cut. Otherwise, the Boots pick themselves up and the deck is loaded with reversals to spin if I think they have me ‘volley locked’.

One thing I do want to add is See How It Feels and perhaps Goodnight Everybody. I’d drop the For The Love of the Game x2 for them.

Frankly, again it goes back to the meta of the place you're playing at, I suppose, since Volley decks are much more common where I'm at.

Picking up Boots at 6 RFG per pickup sounds bad tho, and serves to cripple your deck harder, I'd still pack a Making Your Escape as a tech option so I don't automatically lose a matchup against a volley deck.

Total meta choice. Volley is big in our area, Chain was in almost every deck at Funkcon (even the JYD BASH deck!) Packing 3 Ego Boosts and picking up a Boot each turn meant I was always able to maintain a small hand. Sure it’s sounds pricey, but it wasn’t as bad as it sounds when you fluffier I run only two recovery cards outside the backstage stuff. There comes a time in the match when you realize 1 card in hand is much more important than 6 useless cards in ringside. That’s certainly later in the game though, not turn 1.

I dont think volley is much of anything too many people run oswm to even want to play an action unless it cannot be reversed/responded to. Im not a fan of oswm due it making the game narrow and less diverse like revo. But on the other hand its so good its hard not to run.

Honestly i will prefer u to add in a oscm over oswm tb or funaki cos u rely 90% on ringside, thrust knee lift or lethal poison will screw u badly without cage match. U can add in mean gene since u will almost guaranteed bait his restricted out, a well timed ttt into a late game tombstone or hellfire chokeslam is sweet
