Virtual DataBase? or Search engine?
« on: December 01, 2017, 09:11:45 PM »
The virtual sets are so massive years later now.. any recommendations on how to look up a specific Virtual card and where to find it to print, without opening up a dozen sets?.... like Heyman Interferes? what set is that? and which area? Arsenal Non-Superstar Support?

A good start is to use the search function on this site. Just search for the card title, in quotes, in the Virtual Set Lists subforum. That’ll take you to the card description, so you’ll know what set to look in, and what type of card it is. Then, depending on how you have the downloaded set lists organized, you’ll be able to pick the right file quickly.

Would recommend just getting Lackey and installing the RD plugin. It'll load up a database to search through and make it so much easier when browsing cards from both Classic and Virtual. Also, the bonus is you can play the game online with others too!

Also, if you're looking for something that's Superstar Specific, there's a whole section with card lists specific to each Superstar.  It even includes what set each card is from.

I get what you are saying, but i don't think anyone is that organised to indicate exactly which pdf file Heyman Interferes is in. Solutions provided previously are all very useful, but on top of that, another powerful search engine would be the wonderful by-product of Velacards' virtual printing. You can now search the card by name on the website, and it will tell you which expansion it belongs to and superstar if any. Its sort of like the search tool in TCO, but with visual aid!

There's also SoCal Raw Deal on Facebook that groups every virtual Superstar into their own folder, showing you which card came from which release. You want Bret Hart and all his support cards? Boom - all in the Bret Hart folder, with each card detailing what release it was from.

There are lots of great resources available! =)

VC

EDIT: This also includes every SS support card for CI released cards AND every non-SS card. Folders are easily identifiable and super easy to read/use. =)

I second this when it comes to Virtual-only cards! It's really a great way to browse through quickly, especially on a phone since it is on Facebook after all!

And I'll drop the link here too! https://www.facebook.com/SoCalRawDeal/
