Please keep those requests coming. Today's is another 'request' in Matt Hardy.

1.)  How viable is this superstar?
2.)  Is there a Superstar Specific Card that you'd like to spotlight?
3.)  How have you built said superstar?  How did it work out?
4.)  How well does the Superstar fare in whichever format you built them in be it VC/VAA/NXT/VR/Non-Virtual
5.)  Final Thoughts on this Superstar?

AND

6.) Since this Superstar is a Legacy one (in that he was in the game before Virtual) can you elaborate a little on how Virtual has changed this Superstar?

1) I've always viewed Matt Hardy as a top deck. His ability to stay alive for so long makes him so potent.

2) Mattitude Adjustment - In classic, I used to hate playing against Matt Hardy because this card was so powerful. In Virtual, I've found its usefulness toned down just a little because some of the key Virtual prematch cards are permanent and there are so many ways to get fortitude in Virtual that it's easier to make a comeback after getting hit with this.

3) Personally, I've never built him only because I don't own his cards and his set is massive to acquire.

4) From my experience playing against him in Virtual Classic, he can live a long time, but in Raw Deal, staying alive doesn't always get the pinfall. As long as the Matt Hardy player has a few strategies or gameplans to get the pin, he puts up a good fight.

5) One day I want to borrow his set from friends and give him a shot. He's a great deck for beginners too!

6) Matt Facts beefed up Mattitude Adjustment a bit, but by making his actions multi, it's important the opponent knows which actions are key to stop and which to let through because if you waste all your multi reversals on actions, expect to see some multi-grapple maneuvers coming your way soon. I've found the key to beating Matt Hardy is to be as aggressive as possible before he can spam with specifics and grapples.

1.)  How viable is this superstar?
I feel that for Matt Hardy, the big problem lies with the hand size during the matches. But overall, good ability and starting handsize.

2.)  Is there a Superstar Specific Card that you'd like to spotlight?
Stronger Than Death. Strong reversal for Multi maneuver. Play Stronger than Death and look for another painful reversal.

3.)  How have you built said superstar?  How did it work out?
Yes. Not very good due to handsize during the match.

4.)  How well does the Superstar fare in whichever format you built them in be it VC/VAA/NXT/VR/Non-Virtual
6/10. Ultimate survivor will be better than Matt Hardy.

5.)  Final Thoughts on this Superstar?
BROKEN!

AND

6.) Since this Superstar is a Legacy one (in that he was in the game before Virtual) can you elaborate a little on how Virtual has changed this Superstar?
Mattitude Adjustment can also reverse non-unique maneuver is a key point. And also Spinning Straight Elbow became a Must Pack in the VC Matt Hardy deck as High Risk in order to look for Stronger Than Death.

Please keep those requests coming. Today's is another 'request' in Matt Hardy.

1.)  How viable is this superstar?

Fatt in the Box is always solid (as long as you can protect the stip.....being Smackdown makes that more difficult mind you)....but Old School Fatty in the Cage Matty is pretty good too (though most top tier decks can deal with OS Cage)....good ability, and plenty of toys to expand the hand but always seems to run out of gas....there's a fat joke in there somewhere....

2.)  Is there a Superstar Specific Card that you'd like to spotlight?

Eh... I guess Matt Facts?? Maybe this is his issue....his support cards are kinda so so

3.)  How have you built said superstar?  How did it work out?

I had done chain....I had done Vickie Smackdown moves...both were meh.....maybe I need to try High Flying style.....

4.)  How well does the Superstar fare in whichever format you built them in be it VC/VAA/NXT/VR/Non-Virtual

He's middle of the pack

5.)  Final Thoughts on this Superstar?
C+ superstar
AND

6.) Since this Superstar is a Legacy one (in that he was in the game before Virtual) can you elaborate a little on how Virtual has changed this Superstar?
It made Mattitude Adjustment more useful and OS Cage helps since he can't lock down Hell Cell, and there are more neat Unique Multi Grapples and High Risks to toss

1.)  How viable is this superstar?
Strong cards and in-built sponge mechanics make this a good deck for beginners to learn how to play a recovery-based deck. Strong choice.

2.)  Is there a Superstar Specific Card that you'd like to spotlight?
Stronger Than Death
Reversal: Special
Reverse any non-Trademark Finisher card and end your opponent’s turn. Put all cards in your hand on top of your Arsenal; put the same number of cards from your Ringside pile on top of your Arsenal; and then search your Arsenal for 1 card, put it into your hand, and shuffle your Arsenal.
F: 15     D: 10     Unique
GAB

This. The threat of this card in the late game is a strong deterrent, a painful reversal with a decent effect that is fair, due to the drawback.

3.)  How have you built said superstar?  How did it work out?
Built him in the standard grapple to heal in a hell in a cell deck. Feels a lot fairer in VC, but still can be annoying for decks that are not prepared to face it. And he's quite fun to play as well but not as broken as he once was in classic.

4.)  How well does the Superstar fare in whichever format you built them in be it VC/VAA/NXT/VR/Non-Virtual
He was broken in classic, fair in VC. Still fun to play with but if you're looking for a strong sponge deck, other decks easily outclass him now, which is nice to see.

5.)  Final Thoughts on this Superstar?
Fun choice for a superstar, although I personally still prefer the Ultimate Survivor over old Matt now (broken Matt when?) and hoping to see the gems that v8 or future sets will give the superstar!

AND

6.) Since this Superstar is a Legacy one (in that he was in the game before Virtual) can you elaborate a little on how Virtual has changed this Superstar?
As mentioned, he's been toned down more as there are more options to guard against his crazy recovery. But in essence, still the same deck as the classic era, except with a few new toys to mess around with such as the backstage card he got as well as new grapples to play with.
