Hot Damn (RoH Show Tomorrow)
« on: July 11, 2013, 03:15:31 PM »
While possibly not the same level as some PWG shows certain fellas around here get to see, I've got a 2nd Row ticket to see the following at a ROH show tomorrow:

World TV Champion Matt Taven w/ Truth Martini vs. Jay Lethal vs. Adam Cole vs. Michael Elgin
Davey Richards vs  Bobby Fish
Eddie Edwards vs Kyle O'Reilly
Kevin Steen vs. Silas Young
Tommaso Ciampa vs. Rhino
Mike Bennett  vs. BJ Whitmer
Athena vs. MsChif

And a tag match with ACH involved. This is gonna be good.

Looks like a solid card... Can never go wrong with Steen, Cole, Richards, Elgin, and Edwards on your wrestling card.  I've never seen ACH myself other than in vids, so I can't wait until he comes to Reseda for BOLA.

Enjoy yourself sir... LMK how the show pans out.

Matches of the night were, unsurprisingly, Davey vs. Fish, Eddie vs. O'Reilly, and the 4-way. Steen vs. Silas was just too short.

Steen probably got the biggest pop of the night. However, the night started with a tag match of two local dudes (The Beer City Bruisers, who actually were pretty decent) vs... a guy whose name I can't remember, and bringing the damn house down... Cheeseburger. I had to look up who the hell he was, but man alive, the crowd just loved Cheeseburger. So much.

I have been waiting for RoH to come to Milwaukee for a long time and I missed it every time. I'm out of town for a wedding this weekend.  :'(

If this comparison from Steen was adequate, I assumed the crowd was hot all night.

I'd like to thank the PWG crowd for flying from Reseda to Milwaukee for tonight's ROH show...Seriously, AMAZING crowd! Thank you Milwaukee!

Sad to hear it was just for Steen, but I hope you still had a blast.  SUPPORT INDY WRESTLING!

Glad to hear it was a good show.  I'm going to the show tonight in Dearborn, MI myself (Wolves vs. Elgin/Lethal is the main event), and I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Oh, the show was great overall. I was just saying that the only reason Steen's match wasn't one of the best of the night was cause it was pretty short. He went out there, threw Silas into the barricade a couple times, and hit the Package Piledriver for the win. Was pretty sweet, just... quick. Not a lot of back and forth.

The quietest match of the night (crowd-wise) was, sadly, MsChif vs. Athena, even though they went out there and did some good work.

I have a very simple way of knowing how much I enjoyed a wrestling show. When I leave, does my throat hurt from shouting and chanting, and are my hands raw from clapping?

The answer last night was 'my voice was shot before the main event' and 'Ow, my hands'.

I'd never seen Bobby Fish wrestle before, but he and Davey put on a damn clinic, it was great.
