Virtual Raw Deal / Re: Introducing Virtual 10: Breaking Ground
« on: August 05, 2019, 07:01:16 PM »
It's still early to say, but considering how the landscape has changed, Eric and I (and some others) plan to review the tournament scene going forward, taking regional tournaments into account, and discussing what really constitutes a 'World Championship'.

There's no answers now, obviously, since the conversation hasn't happened.  But once the details are laid out, we'll let everyone know.

(And by 'we' I really mean Eric, heh)

Bah, intent is disrupted by old wording.  You're supposed to be able to play the SS cards put under Kicking Machine, a revision to Bionic should fix that.  ("You may play cards under this card...")

The image has already been updated.  Please see a fresh copy of the files for the un-Permanent version.

I fixed this last night, you'll have to re-download the Lackey .zip, sorry.

Ah, sorry, wrong topic. That's what I get for responding while busy at work!  :D

Yes, this is different, but similar.  The 'along with' is to exempt them from the pack restrictions entirely, as Drywall notes.  We might need to make a VFAQ entry to clarify this.

Note - this is not the first time we've had cards packed in the Backstage area, the same rules apply as previous instances.  If it's packed in the Backstage, it's not in the Arsenal/Backlash and doesn't count toward those limitations.

There, This Club has been updated, apologies to anyone who rushed to the printer before I got the fix in.  :)

Great, thank you for checking!  These should all be fixed now (including the card type on This Club...)

So don't make risky plays if you aren't prepared to deal with the consequences, haha.

I'll update at the end of the day, would someone please review the rest of the new cards and make sure all the images are there?  I thought I had this covered with a copy / paste last night, but clearly my scope wasn't wide enough, sorry about that.

Rules Forum / Re: New Stone Cold V9B cards
« on: August 01, 2019, 10:04:09 AM »
Yes, as intended.

A Multi card that's made Multi is still just Multi, like playing And the Crowd Roars followed by Punch After Punch.
(It's a shame none of the playtesters pointed out that STUNNER! is already Multi, could have saved a little space on that card, but in the end it doesn't have any real effect.)

I've just uploaded replacements for Burn It Down without the errant 'Permanent' trait.

However, I didn't see this in time, so The Club will stay as is, we'll fix it with Revisions unless something critical comes up.  It's a Multi, just play accordingly.

EDIT:  Gotta do a fix for Lackey anyway, that'll be enough work to warrant an update to This Club is Too Sweet! - look for that tonight (Pacific US time zone, heh)

This should be fixed now, along with the errant 'Permanent' on Burn It Down's card image.

Hey Creed, I do not see the images for Cesaro, Paige, Sami, and Xavier's cards in the PDF's

Edit part 2.... Okay I found them!!!! sorry about that....

They are not on the v9new1 and v9new2 files....that is where I went wrong.

Yeah, they weren't new, they were released with V9A.  Glad it worked out for you.

Virtual Raw Deal / The B-Sides: V9B Released!
« on: July 31, 2019, 10:03:37 PM »
Yeesh, that took forever.... haha.  Well, here it is, the end of an era, leading to a new one.  Virtual 9 is finally wrapped up, though with a lighter volume than originally anticipated.

But we wanted to wrap things up and move on, so a lot of the 'missing' Superstar support that wasn't finished (Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns, Ambrose farewell card, The Bar) will show up down the road.  Some things were ready because they were planned from the start (Jinder's cards, for example) or because they were 'shiny objects' that drew everyone's attention (Becky's I Am The Man or the new Club card).  It'd be great if there were more than 40 new cards, sorry about that.  It should be better in the future.

So here's the link to the full Virtual 9 set list, and the files are all in place and Ready for Downloading.  As noted elsewhere, the Lackey patch has been updated, and <surprise!> I've already loaded the Superstar Guides, so let me know if I missed anything.  (Flickr will get updated soon, probably in the next 24 hours, for anyone who still cares about it, haha)

And here we are.  Enjoy, have fun with the new cards, and revel in the fact that Eric and his team are already cooking up new Superstars for Virtual 10.  :)

Fantasy Cards / Re: Updated HHH Proxies
« on: July 31, 2019, 04:02:10 PM »
These are some great highlights, but I'm concerned that loading and reloading this many graphics with all the pageviews will cut heavily into our bandwidth allotments for the month.

It would be better to have a link and maybe one or two samples posted, rather than trying to post entire sets on the forum.  Just enough to get people's attention, and give them the link to where they can find more if they are interested.

Win/win, right?  :)

Oh yeah, Smackdown's on.  Say, remember when these guys were terrorizing the tag team division on Smackdown?

This was the first use of an idea to thematically have a tag team without waiting for a spot to make a whole new Superstar.  Eric can decide how this is executed going forward, but there's some sketched-out ideas for a couple more down the road.  There are a few more support cards, with some benefits for being part of the team, and some perks to help prop up Rowan a little better.

(And yes, one of the other teams discussed for this was The Bar, but we didn't get it nailed down in time, sadly...)

For what it's worth, noting Buddha's advice from the other deck list, having a general idea of what you want to do in Pre-match, basic strategy notes, etc. would probably help get more feedback.
