So what does IRS like better than giving the Cold COCK to one tax cheat??

Doubling up and sending those vile Samoans back to Canada!!!!

IRS wins

I made a bad judgement call trying to overturn a reversal. Too bad I didn’t have any in Arsenal.

Fantasy Cards / Re: Wrestling Podcasts
« on: May 23, 2018, 07:42:36 AM »
I would add "you may..." text to all the hide effects, otherwise you may not get the second effect of all the cards.

Looks great though!

The idea is they’re on the podcast, so no wrestling. But “When you play a maneuver..” I think is too restricting. So once they hit, its wrasslin time.

These three are the wrestling podcasts I listen to on a regular basis, so why not give them some love in Raw Deal?

The Permanent trait removes the need for the phrase "When this card is in your Ring area" because it should always be in your Ring area for the effect to take place.
I couldn't find anything in the OmniFAQ to back me up, but I'm 100% positive on this one.

We will be revealing two new Superstars that you will see in Virtual 9 on the Backlash Podcast tomorrow.

Virtual Raw Deal / Re: Virtual card error

What I think happened is I referenced the file name on the link and opened an existing one on my pc. I’m the one who has to update things now.
Sorry for the confusion.

The New Day's .doc file has the original Clap Therapy text.

My last question was asking if the released superstars in V9 were ones featured in Arrival, but your Emma comments kinda shot that idea down.

I like the give them stuff now to playtest option. Not sure how anyone else feels about it.
Thanks for keeping it going with a busy schedule, and answering our questions about the upcoming content. It’s always newt to get some insight on the future of the game.

60
What was the reason for the combining of the sets? That would have been nice pacing for more frequent, smaller sets. I’m guessing playtesting and a busy first half of the year are causes.
Also, can we safely guess that the released superstars featured in the upcoming set also wrestled at NXT Arrival?

61
Yeah, Rich Swann is tricky, since there were a lot of allegations, and his wife is now denying a bunch of it.  That's a toughie, as much as I want to see him in the game from meeting him at PWG a few years back.  Ah well.

In the meantime, I'll spoil this much...  I had a plan to make a subset of NXT called Arrival, for those Superstars on that first card, either giving them a card or making that Superstar (except CJ Parker, cuz.. yeah.  haha)  So it's very likely you'll see some names that aren't in the WWE any longer, but hopefully they look and play well enough that people won't be too upset.  :)

CREED

That would give us these new Superstars.
Mojo Rawley
The Ascension
Emma
Tyler Breeze
Adrian Neville
Bo Dallas

As well as a card for:
Cesaro
Sami Zayn
Too Cool
Paige
Xavier Woods

Nothing to be upset about with this roster, including 6 more new Superstars. Very fitting with some logos we saw in V8.

While its always nice to get new superstars I think I we we would be fine if we never get a Mojo, Bo Dallas or Accession set. Tyler Breeze on the other hand is a must, but i would prefer to get a Fasion Police set instead.

Unless I’m misreading, this seems like it was an idea to have these in addition to the upcoming Superstars in the next set.
So it would be neat to see these superstars treated like Promo Superstars. Superstar card and an accompanying 2-3 specifics. Most of these already have a card in the game as well, and their new cards could give support to existing superstars. Or non specifics that have their name to give a larger effect (/similar to factions perhaps).
There are plenty of options, and there’s nothing wrong with adding superstars to the game when the opportunity is exists. Especially when it fits a theme like they do here around the first NXT “ppv”.

Welcome (back) to Raw Deal / Re: New to Raw Deal, where do I start?

Welcome to the wild world of Raw Deal!
The Revolution rulebook is for another variant to the game using a different set of cards. Revolution was another series introduced towards the end of the game’s life in print. It isn’t really a popular format, you also won’t need it for the cards you have.

You’ll see a lot of references to Virtual cards on these forums. They are a continuation to the game developed here by CreedP and his team of merry men. I personally don’t suggest it for new players starting out, but others may have an argument to try it out.

Here’s are some helpful links.

http://s6.invisionfree.com/WWE_Raw_Deal_TCG/ar/t22.htm this rulebook is the closest I could find that would be helpful. It’s missing some traits like Heat, Volley and BASH. Which you can find in the Omnifaq found here: http://teamcanadaonline.net/rules/omnifaq.rtf

https://discord.gg/X9gt9Wk Is the TCO Discord channel. Positive, helpful users are on there. All of which can be found on this message board.

I’ll also self plug the podcast Scott and I have that you can find in out about in my signature.

Thanks for giving the game a try! It can be a blast and the worst thing at the same time. We’ve been playing in Barrie, Ontario since 2001 and we’re still learning new things.

Eric, I've already subscribed to your Youtube channel! Haha I just want to start learning the game so your excellent videos make sense.

Thanks for the subscribe. The starter decks you listed in the other thread are good choices. Scott and I began with Jericho and Booker T. Next step would be to get some cards for the Backlash decks.

64
Just getting into this game and starting to learn it, but as a typical wargamer and Magic player I know there are power levels. Who's considered the Top 5 Best and Top 5 Worst Superstars? Also, if you're talking Virtual versions, please list it as such.

I'm planning on playing the following characters, I'd just like to have a rough idea where they stand.

-"STONE COLD" STEVE AUSTIN -- "The Bottom Line" Edition
-HULK HOGAN -- "Hulkamania" Edition
-Mankind
-The Rock
-Kane
-Undertaker
-Booker T

Booker T and The Undertaker are going to be the best two I think. Stone Cold, Mankind and The Rock afterwards. Hulk Hogan is the most recent of those starter decks, assuming Booker T is not from Survivor Series 2.

Raw Deal Online / How to install Raw Deal plugin to Lackey iPad
« on: April 04, 2018, 03:51:50 PM »
With the limitations of accessibility to files and folders on iOS you have to download a free program on your pc.
I used the free program Syncios.
Connected my iPad to my pc with the USB cable and went to apps in Syncios.
From there I chose Lackey and made a folder in plugins called rawdeal then exported what I could from the files here.
The biggest hurdle with it is I could export folders, just contents from them. So each folder I had to make, then export the contents into it.
It was pretty painless once I knew what was going on.

I found a way to get it working on the iPad if you're still interested in getting it to work there.

Rants Forum / Re: No Mom, My Sister's Going To Give You Grandchildren

I have issues with my mother too where she just won’t get the hint about things. A big contention between us is the idea that I won’t be having children. Regardless of how many different ways I can say it’s not happening, she still tries to push her own agenda. Keep communicating the way you are, and be patient. Hopefullly it will be something your mom will stop bother you about.

I’d much rather see superstars that are needing to be added into the game than another Hardy. We just had two in the last set. Give me Asuka, Samoa Joe, Alexa Bliss and Nakamura first please.

Tournament Reports / Re: March 3 Barrie, Ontario
« on: March 17, 2018, 12:06:26 PM »
You probably gonna need a banner, pics of the prizes, AND a tournament name to pull off the "Stealing"!

But that aside, Funaki was a really surprising pick IMO because of the lack of Volley This. And Douche. And Don't Try. And Back Throw.

The idea is being stolen. Not everything. Come on!
Funaki fortunately gets Volley This TB now.

Another Round Robin event a few weeks ago on March 3. The original play was to have this at the Barrie Wrestling venue before the show, but that changed and everyone went over to OMG Games. I was unable to attend due to working with the show. I'll let the players fill in with their input. The main two things I know of coming out of this was how annoying The Rocking Chair, which led to this post http://teamcanadaonline.net///index.php/topic,18074.0.html and I'm not as important for tournaments that I wanted them to believe.

Tournament Reports / January 27 Barrie, Ontario
« on: March 17, 2018, 09:52:09 AM »
On the 27th of January we had a Round Robin event with a 6 player turnout featuring 3 Classic and 3 Virtual Superstars. It was interesting see the different support the older characters recieved compared to the newer created ones.
I played AJ that I've been tinkering with for a while. The deck is to a point that I'm happy with and he preformed well for me this day.
Biggest mistake of the day was missing on the chance to play Ax Kick from Ringside against Damn by APA. Had I noticed the opportunity that game would have been mine.

Check out the deck here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5CBo3ljkSo

Here's the playlist for the games of the event - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4LFJ5MvTVVz5BOvoEY_A6LmIx_Cl256U

Adam - Bayley
Cameron - APA
Colin - Brock Lesnar
Eric - AJ Styles

General Discussion: Raw Deal / "I can't believe that happened" moment
« on: March 17, 2018, 04:35:31 AM »
Has there been a game where your opponent does something unusual or out of the ordinary that worked?

This is going back to OG Raw Deal in the finals against Eddie Guerrero. I was playing Victoria when the Blindside maneuvers came out and you were able to return them to hand. Eddie plays a maneuver followed up by a Crucifix Rollup, damage applied and he gets the win via text. One of the most unusual losses I've experienced.

Crucifix Rollup
High Risk / Reversal: Special
As a maneuver, can only be played after a successfully played maneuver.
May only reverse the cards titled Fireman's Carry or Samoan Drop. Can also reverse any card played after the card titled Irish Whip.
If opponent has 5 or less cards in his Arsenal after the resolution of this card’s damage, you win the game via a Pinfall Victory.
