Blindside Tag Team Tactics
Reversal: Card
Can only be played from Ringside.
When the first card played on your turn is a maneuver from Ringside or has the Tag logo, it is Multi and can only be reversed by 2 reversals.

Is this a constant effect, or only during the next turn?

Virtual Deck Reviews / Pete Dunne - OCTGN Tournament Winning Deck
« on: May 27, 2020, 07:29:52 PM »
I'm really happy with how this deck performed. With only 4 specifics, Pete Dunne is really good. I wrote a Superstar Strategy Session for Pete (available here: http://teamcanadaonline.net///index.php/topic,18995.0.html)

The basic idea is to destroy their hand, and toss moves.

Against SID in the finals, I had to use EVERY TRICK in the book, and barely squeaked by.

If I were to change anything, I would probably swap out Wrist Breaker for Short Arm Rib Breaker, and I would probably swap out Jillian Hall Foxy Fixer for another TMF.

Too Dynamic To Hold Down
Pre-match Event
Cannot be blanked.
Your Pre-match Capacity is +1.
When you are Lex Luger or packing Dynamically Inclined, this card is Superstar-specific.
Your cards with "dynamic" in the title or text are unaffected by your opponent's Stipulation cards. When you successfully Activate The Luck of the Draw, remove the top card of your Arsenal from the game.

Connecting With the WWE Universe
Backstage Card
This card is always considered to be revealed.
Cannot be packed by a Legend (except Mick Foley) or Cryme Tyme.
When packing this card and you are not Mick Foley, you may only pack 1 other non-Superstar-specific Backstage card, and you may pack up to 8 cards with 'cheap pop' in the title (up to 12 when you are Mick Foley) in your Backstage Area; at the end of the Pre-match phase, reveal those cards and shuffle them into your Arsenal.
Your first card played each turn with 'cheap pop' in the title cannot be reversed by hybrid or BASH reversals, and your Get Crowd Support and Cheap Accolades cards are -1F for every card in your Ring with 'cheap pop' in the title.
Unique     RMS logo     SS logo

If Test packs two of these could he pack 12 "cheap pop" cards in his backstage?

I only count 4 different cheap pop cards, and he can only pack 2 of each anyway. So it looks like Test can pack 2, but it only really effects the -1F for Get Crowd Support and Cheap Accolades.

Virtual Deck Reviews / Re: Back to Basics Dolph Ziggler
« on: May 20, 2020, 09:02:16 PM »
Old Dolph is even less fun to play against, absolute protection for smackdown maneuvers...

Anyway I think BASH has the props for at least being almost guaranteed 1 Oversell in your hand with Taunt You Bash You, and the fort curve is always welcomed to bridge in to his bigger specific stuffs like Superkick and DDT

TBF, with B2B, you're thinning out your deck so much, it also gives a pretty high guarantee of drawing it as well.

Especially with Donnybrook

I really enjoy this deck in the 3 games I've played. Not sure how much fun it is for opponent once their hand is gone though…

None. New Dolph is not fun to play against haha

Virtual for Beginners
Part 2: Non-Specific Backstage Area Cards

Welcome to the wonderful world of Virtual Raw Deal! These series of articles will be designed to help you matriculate yourself into the Virtual Raw Deal community.

In Classic Raw Deal there were only a handful of Backstage Area cards. In Virtual, however, there are a number of them. In this article I will cover every non-Superstar-Specific Backstage Area Card. I will tell you which ones are useful, which ones not to bother with, and  maybe some strategies attached to them. For the sake of these articles, I'm going to skip over the virtual enforcer and PRO cards, and I have already discussed the 'Shenanigans' cards in the last article

Each card will be rated on it's usefulness, and I will share a brief overview.

Virtual 1:

Don't be "That" Guy!
Backstage Card
When packing this card, you can only pack 1 other non-Superstar-specific Backstage card that does not have 'shenanigans' in the title.  Cannot be packed by Doink or Andre the Giant.
Non-Superstar Specific non-reversal cards with the text 'you win the game' have blank text.  No player can play That's It or Goodnight, Everybody!
You may hide this card to completely reverse any card with "That's" in the title.
Unique

Usefulness: 1/10
Overview: You will never pack this card. The risk far outweighs the rewards. Unless your local meta plays nothing but “That's” decks, this card will never be packed. All the good cards that say “You win the game via pinfall victory” all have the RMS anyway, so they cannot be blanked.

Feminine Wiles
Backstage Card
Can only be packed by a Diva, Moolah or Mae Young.
At the end of the Pre-match phase, when your opponent is a Male superstar, you may hide this card to blank 1 of his revealed non-Enforcer Backstage cards.
Unique     RMS logo

Usefulness: 6/10
Overview: This card can be very useful for anyone wishing to build a Diva. It has the ability to blank any Backstage card that can be blanked – the most useful typically being the Anniversary cards (more on that later). The only reason this card isn't more useful is because of another card I'll be covering later that improves Diva superstars.

Hometown Hero
Backstage Card
Cannot be packed by Doink.
You can play a Venue when your opponent has a Venue in his Ring.
When all players have a Venue in their Ring, your Starting Hand Size is -2.
Unique

Usefulness: 9/10
Overview: One complaint I've heard Classic players say about Virtual is that there are no drawbacks to using the best cards. With this card, I give you a drawback! This card will allow someone with a low superstar value (SSV) to play a venue even if your opponent already has one in his ring – at the cost of -2 cards to his starting hand. So now people who have a specific Pre-Match Venue (Like all the Dudleys) who might not always have the chance to play it, now have that opportunity.

Pulled Some Strings To Get My Match
Backstage Card
Cannot be packed by Doink. When packing this card, you cannot pack Hell In a Cell Match or Inferno Match.
Your Stipulation cards cannot be blanked.  When your opponent is Chris Benoit, you may play 1 Stipulation regardless of A Victim of the Crippler.  You cannot play Venue or Manager cards.
Unique

Usefulness: 8/10
Overview: Oh my goodness, another card with a drawback! This card, similar to Hometown Hero, allows you to protect your stipulation at the cost of not getting a Manager or Venue. So now Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit don't have to worry about someone blanking their First To Tap Out Match. Or a Foreign Object deck doesn't have to worry about someone blanking Chicago Street Fight, allowing them to employ their strategy as they see fit.

The House That Hardcore Built
Backstage Card
This card is considered Superstar-specific.
Can only be packed when you have an ECW card in your Backstage Area.  When packing this card, you cannot pack nWo cards.
Your Foreign Objects are -4F, and your opponent’s non-Unique reversals to your Foreign Object and Extreme cards deal no damage.
Your Revolution ECW Originals gains your logo, and cards with "ECW" in the title do not take up a Pre-match slot in your Ring.
Unique     ECW logo     RMS logo

Usefulness: 10/10 (for ECW Superstars)
Overview: Virtual as added a number of ECW Superstars to Raw Deal, and this card is a must pack for all of them (Except maybe Tazz – just because he doesn't care about Foreign Objects that much). Foreign Objects have always been more fun than they were good, but now for the ECW guys, they can be just as competitive as other build types.

The Numbers Game
Backstage Card
Can only be packed by Right To Censor, Hall & Nash, The People's Team, The Dangerous Alliance, FBI, The Home Team, The Heat Seekers, The Spirit Squad, or a Stable.  When packing this card, you may pack Handicap Match.
You are a Stable, and your opponent cannot play Handicap Match.  When he is not a Stable, you may ignore the "Can only be played..." text on Handicap Match, and he must discard 1 card to play a Run-in.
Unique

Usefulness: 10/10 (for stables)
Overview: This card is great for Stables because it allows you to play Handicap Match against anyone (excluding other Stables). BTW, Handicap Match got a virtual throwback which I'll cover in the next article. One other thing to notice, opponent has to discard in order to be able to play a run in, and that includes during the Pre-Match phase...

Virtual 4:

Classic Competitor
Backstage Card
This card is always considered to be hidden.
Can only be packed by a WWF Superstar.
When this card is hidden, you may ignore the 'Can be reversed...' text on your maneuvers with 'classic' in the title, and once during each of your turns you may reveal 1 maneuver with 'classic' in the title from hand, reveal up to 1 maneuver with 'classic' in the title in your Ringside, and put the revealed cards on the bottom of your Arsenal.
Unique

Usefulness: 9/10
Overview: WWF Superstars get an added bonus to their maneuvers with “Classic” in the title. The Classic maneuvers, normally, aren't that great. But Classic Competitor makes them a lot better. The only reason this doesn't have a 10/10 is because a lot of WWF superstars won't bother with those maneuvers anyway.

Jimmy Hart's Megaphone
Backstage Card
Header text:  Can only be revealed from your Backstage area when you play a Manager with 'Legendary' or 'Jimmy' in the title.
Cannot be packed by Doink.
This card may be moved into your Arsenal.
During your first turn of the game, you may shuffle this card from your Backstage Area into your Arsenal.
You may play this card from hand as if it was F: 20 and a "Reversal: Superstar specific non-maneuver card"; when you have lower Fortitude, as if it was F: 10.
Unique     D: 2

Usefulness: 6/10
Overview: Every legend's favorite manager Jimmy Hart gets another toy. This one is essentially the 61st card of your arsenal. It's a free card, so that's nice, but Legends get another Backstage Card that has largely replaced Jimmy Hart...

Legendary Defense
Backstage Card
This card is always considered to be hidden.
Can only be packed by a Legend, except Doink.  Cannot be packed when packing non-Superstar-specific Managers.
When packing this card, your Step Aside, Escape Move, and Break the Hold cards are Unique.  When this card is hidden, they can reverse any Strike, Grapple, Submission, Assault, Throw, or Hold; and your Lift a Boot cards can also reverse Extremes and ignore their 'Can only be played...' text.
Unique     RMS logo

Usefulness: 9/10
Overview: This card is REALLY good. The only reason it isn't a 10/10 is because Jimmy Hart is still a great manager, and anyone wanting to pack him instead of this card is totally justified. This card, however, gives you 3 totally recyclable omni-reversals – which is VERY welcome.

Mr. Fuji's Cane
Backstage Card
Header text:  Can only be revealed from your Backstage area when you play Managed by Mr. Fuji.
Cannot be packed by Doink.
This card may be moved into your Arsenal.
During your first turn of the game, you may shuffle this card from your Backstage Area into your Arsenal.
You may play this card from hand as if it was F: 25 and a "Reversal: Superstar specific maneuver"; when you have lower Fortitude, as if it was F: 15.
Unique     D: 2

Usefulness: 7/10
Overview: Managed by Mr. Fuji is a very underrated manager in VRD, especially for WWF superstars. This card act the same at Jimmy Harts Megaphone, except it reverses better cards.

Virtual 5:

Dynamically Inclined
Backstage Card
Cannot be packed by Doink.
Before starting hands are drawn, search your Arsenal and Ringside for 10 non-Trademark-Finisher maneuvers with "dynamic" in the title, put them under this card, and shuffle;  if you do not, hide this card.  At the end of the Pre-match Phase, choose 1 card under this card, put it into your hand, and shuffle the other cards into your Arsenal.
Your Pre-match Capacity is +1 for each The Luck of The Draw card in your Ring greater than 1.
Your non-Unique maneuvers with "dynamic" in the title are -3F and +2D.
When you have lower Fortitude, your opponent is considered to have double the number of reversals in his Ring for your effects with "dynamic" in the title or text.
Unique     RMS logo

Usefulness: 10/10 (for Dynamic decks)
Overview: This card gave Dynamic the boost it greatly needed. Puts a maneuver in your hand, and prevents you from drawing a handful of dynamic maneuvers in your opening hand. Getting a couple free Luck of the Draws is also very nice.

The Nexus Armband
Backstage Card
This card is always considered to be revealed.
Can only be packed by a Rookie, The Nexus or New Nexus.
Cannot be packed when packing Allegiances or a Pro.
Your opponent cannot play Backstage Shenanigans.
Your cards with 'interfere' in the title are -3F and he discards 1 card when they are successfully played.
Unique     RMS logo

Usefulness: 6/10
Overview: This is a good card, which normally would have a higher rating. However, Rookie superstars get much better NXT support that prevents them from packing this card.

The NXT Breakout Star
Backstage Card
Can only be packed by an NXT Superstar.
This card is considered Superstar-specific.
Do not discard for Armageddon Is Upon Us.
Once during each of your turns, you may overturn 4 cards and then draw 1 card; when you have lower Fortitude, overturn 2 less cards.
Unique     RMS logo

Usefulness: 10/10 (for NXT)
Overview: Not discarding for AIUU would honestly be enough, but this card has the added bonus of being able to draw an extra card at the cost of overturning 4 (or 2). Great card.

Usefulness: 6/10 (10/10 for Mick Foley)
Overview: While you gain an additional 8 cards (12 for Foley), the drawback of this card may not always be worth it. And the cheap pop cards are simply just OK. Worth considering for action heavy superstars.

Preparing for One Hell of a Match
Backstage Card
This card is always considered to be revealed.
Cannot be packed by a Legend, except The Devil's Favorite Demon, or by Torrie Wilson.
When packing this card and you are not The Devil's Favorite Demon, you may not pack non-Superstar-specific Backstage cards, and you may pack up to 6 cards with 'the hell' in the title (up to 9 when you are The Devil's Favorite Demon) in your Backstage Area; at the end of the Pre-match phase, reveal those cards and shuffle them into your Arsenal.
Your opponent cannot prevent you from playing cards with 'the hell' in the title, and he may not draw cards when they are successfully played.
Unique     RMS logo     SS logo

Usefulness: 2/10 (10/10 for The Devil's Favorite Demon)
Overview: Unless you are The Devil's Favorite Demon, you are unlikely to be packing this card. Not as good as it's Cheap Pop counterpart.

Virtual 7:

'Cause Adam Crites Said So
Backstage Area
Cannot be packed by Doink.
Can only be revealed at the Adam Crites Memorial Tournament, or when you play The "On One" Arena, Ontario, California.
When you shuffle and draw cards for One!, add 1 to those numbers.
During your turn, you may hide this card and shuffle 1 card from your Ringside into your Arsenal; during the Adam Crites Memorial Tournament, you may shuffle 2 cards instead.
Unique     RMS logo

Usefulness: 3/10
Overview: This card (and the next card) aren't bad cards, but the On One Arena simply isn't that great, and neither is One!.

Best There Is, Best There Was
Backstage Area
Cannot be packed by Doink.
Can only be revealed at the Adam Crites Memorial Tournament, or when you play The "On One" Arena, Ontario, California; that card does not take up a slot in your Ring.
When you have 2+ cards in your hand, you may hide this card to completely reverse any Chain, Heat, or Volley card, and then overturn 2 cards and discard 2 cards.
Unique     RMS logo

Usefulness: 5/10
Overview: This card is better than the previous card, only because it gives you a free pre-match slot, and gives you the chance to reverse a chain/heat/volley maneuver.

Virtual 8:

Cruiserweight-Style Action
Backstage Card
* Can only be revealed when High-Flying Style is put into your Ring.
This card is considered Superstar-specific. Cannot be packed by Doink.
Your opponent cannot prevent you from playing From the Top Rope and From the Middle Turnbuckle, or play Restricted Use In This Area in response to those cards, and they are considered Unique for Old School Cage Match and antics for Not On My Broadcast.
Your non-Throwback Japanese Arm Drag is -6F and High Risk; when you Fortitude Rating is 3-, it is considered Unique and cannot be reversed from Backlash.
During his turn when you have lower Fortitude and overturn Back Flip, you may put that card into your Ring and end his turn.
Unique     RMS logo

Usefulness: 8/10
Overview: High-Flying Style is a great card for high risk decks, and this card adds a few more goodies to your build. To me, the best part about this card is the improvement to Japanese Arm Drag. The only reason it isn't ranked higher is because it can be difficult to find room in your arsenal for Japanese Arm Drags and From the Top Ropes.

The Era of the Superstar
Backstage Card
Can only be packed by a Female Superstar. Cannot be packed by a GM. When packing this card, you are not a Diva and cannot pack cards as if you were a Diva.
You may ignore card effects from your opponent’s non-Superstar-specific cards with 'female' or 'diva' in the text that would move cards from your hand, reveal your hand, or allow him to search your Arsenal.
When played as a Counter, your maneuvers without ‘reversed’ in the text are -2F.
Unique     RMS logo

Usefulness: 9/10
Overview: This card is a nice alternative to the Diva superstars. Giving them protection against certain hate-actions, and a discount to your maneuvers is always a good thing. The only reason it isn't a 10/10 is because Feminine Wiles is still a decent card and well worth packing if you are so inclined.

205 Live
Backstage Card
Can only be packed by a Cruiserweight. Cannot be packed when packing The NXT Breakout Star.
Cannot be blanked, and no player may look at cards under this card.
Before your Draw Segment, put any cards under this card into your Ringside, and you may put the top # cards of your Arsenal under this card; # is the number of maneuvers in your Ring, but cannot be less than 2 or greater than 5, and when you have cards under this card, draw 0 cards during your Draw Segment.
When you successfully play a card, put 1 random card under this card into your hand.
Unique

Usefulness: 1/10
Overview: At current, only Neville and Tajiri can pack this card. And not even they want to use it. I suppose if you use this card in conjunction with Evening Up The Odds (a virtual Pre-Match card) then it could perhaps be slightly useful, I however think its unnecessary.

Prize Cards:

Backstage Autograph Session
Backstage Area
Each player's Starting Hand Size is +1.
At the end of the Pre-match phase, each player may put 1 card from their Ringside on the bottom of their Arsenal.
Unique

Usefulness: 8/10
Overview: I don't typically like adding cards to my opponent's hand, however I often find myself packing this card because of the increase it gives my hand. And this card is especially helpful if you overturn cards during the pre-match phase as it allows you to recover a card.

RAW DEAL Tenth Anniversary
Backstage Card
During your turn you may hide this card, overturn 4 cards, and then shuffle 4 cards from your Ringside into your Arsenal; when your Raw Deal Fifth Anniversary is not hidden, you may also shuffle 1 of your cards removed from the game into your Arsenal, and then draw 1 card.
Unique

Usefulness: 10/10
Overview: This is probably the best non-specific Backstage card in virtual. Far superior to the Fifth Anniversary card from Classic Raw Deal, Tenth makes you overturn 4 to recover 5 (1 of which is an RFG card like Divine Intervention or A Revolution Of The Mind). A must pack for EVERY superstar who can pack it.

That's it! All of the non-Specific Virtual Backstage cards, ranked by me, to hopefully help you figure out which ones you would like to use.

Thank you for reading this article. My next edition will cover the Pre-Match cards what virtual has added to it.

Virtual Raw Deal / Virtual for Beginners part 1: Welcome to Virtual

Virtual for Beginners
Part 1: Welcome to Virtual

Welcome to the wonderful world of Virtual Raw Deal! These series of articles will be designed to help you matriculate yourself into the Virtual Raw Deal community.

Part 1: FAQs
Part 2: Terms & Keywords
Part 3: Shenanigans
Part 4: Virtual Staples
Part 5: Summary

Part 1: FAQs

What is Virtual Raw Deal? Virtual Raw Deal is a fan made continuation of the Raw Deal CCG. All Virtual Raw Deal cards are created to work in conjunction with all existing Raw Deal Cards (known as Classic Raw Deal). All Virtual cards are created, designed, and playtested by a dedicated group of players, and distributed to the community free of charge and able to be printed professionally or on your home printer.

How does Virtual Raw Deal compare to Classic Raw Deal? The classic game mechanics remain in tact, and the game is played exactly as it used to be when the game was in print. Some of the virtual expansions have created new terminology, new card types, or newer mechanics that I will go over in this article.

How is the game balance in Virtual Raw Deal? The biggest improvement Virtual Raw Deal has made is a thinning of the power curve that Classic Raw Deal created. When Classic Raw Deal ended the game was not balanced at all. Anyone not playing as Andre the Giant, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Mr. PPV, or Mr. Kennedy has very little chance of winning. Virtual Raw Deal, however, has made it a point to balance these, and other superstars. EVERY superstar in Raw Deal is worth playing in the virtual format (even Mae Young).

Why is the card text so long on Virtual cards? Long card text has existed since the days of Premiere Raw Deal (go read Maintain Hold), and that's not a knock on Classic Raw Deal at all, I'm only saying that sometimes long text is necessary to make a card or effect work as intended. In fact, virtual has shortened a lot of terms commonly used in Classic. Ex: Ringside Pile has been shortened to Ringside, Ring Area has been shortened to Ring, Virtual 10 introduced the term “Arsenal Search” and “Ringside Search” which are short for “Search your Arsenal (or Ringside) for 1 card, reveal it to your opponent, put it into your hand, and shuffle.” Long card text can also give you more than 1 effect per card – giving you multiple options from 1 card (Which in a game with limits on number of cards in a certain area, can help big time).

What are the best Virtual Cards? I'll be going over those later, and in future articles.

What if I got rid of all of my Raw Deal cards when the game went out of print? Proxies are widely available from a few different sources available on Facebook, and proxies are also totally accepted just about everywhere. One of the biggest things Virtual wanted to prevent was “My ability to have these cards makes me better than you.” Virtual Raw Deal is all about the game and the skill. ALSO Online ways of playing Raw Deal have been created, most notably Lackey (http://teamcanadaonline.net///index.php/topic,12440.0.html) and OCTGN (http://teamcanadaonline.net///index.php/topic,18866.0.html) – both of which contain a full database of every Raw Deal card.

Can I play Revolution cards with Virtual Raw Deal? There are formats in place for Virtual Classic (Virtual Raw Deal + Classic Raw Deal), Virtual Revolution (Virtual Raw Deal + Revolution), Virtual All Axxess (Everything). Virtual Classic is by far the most popular format.

What is the best way to start playing Virtual? I've found that the best way is to start small. If you have a playgroup, introduce and implement the first virtual set just to get everyone started (You could even introduce the first 2 virtual sets because Virtual 2 is all superstars with no non-specific cards). After your group is comfortable with that set, advance to the following set and so on. If you do not have a play group and will only be playing online, the best piece of advice I have is to keep going the set lists (in particular the non-superstar specific cards), and engage the Virtual Raw Deal community here on TeamCanadaOnline or on the Team Canada Discord. We foster an amazing community who all want to help this game survive and help make you the best player possible. The Discord in particular is very active. And if you're a new player, that is the best possible resource.

But what if I just want to win every game without trying or employing any real strategy or skill because I'm afraid of losing? Then Virtual isn't the game for you, and your friends are TOTALLY happy playing against you. This is a game and should be fun. The development team are very active and if something can be exploited, or creates a Negative Play Experience (NPE), then it is eliminated.

Part 2: Raw Deal Terms and Acronyms

These articles will be focusing on Virtual Raw Deal, if you wish to learn the terms from classic Raw Deal, please consult the Raw Deal Omnifaqs found here: http://teamcanadaonline.net///index.php/topic,7946.0.html

Acronyms:
Luckily, someone has already made a comprehensive list of a lot popular acronyms here: http://teamcanadaonline.net///index.php/topic,12182.0.html

Virtual Terms:

Allegiance
-Introduced in Virtual 3, Allegiance is a type of Pre-Match card, similar to Venue/Feud/Manager.
-The Allegiance phase comes prior to the Venue phase and follows the rules of other phases, i.e. both players may play 1 Allegiance or pass, then the phase is completed and the Venue phase begins.

Classic (maneuvers)
-Introduced in Virtual 4, “Classic” is a subset of maneuvers thematically designed for WWF Classic superstars (See below).
-Classic maneuvers are all unique, but may be reversed as if they are non-unique (unless you meet the criteria printed on the card, or are packing the card Classic Competitor)

Counter
-This term replaces the phrase 'When you reversed a card to end your opponent's turn and this is the first card played on your turn...'
-Additional modifiers can be used, such as 'When played as a Counter (maneuver)', to indicate the reversed card had to be a maneuver.  Another example is 'When played as a Counter (hand or Backlash),' meaning the opponent's card had to be reversed from hand or Backlash.
-This was created in an effort to shorten card text.

Flip Over (Face up/Face Down)
-Introduced in Virtual 5, Cards that are flipped over do not affect the game, they lose all traits but retain their card title, and they become the card type 'Face-Down'.
-A Permanent, Active or RMS card cannot become face-down.
-Face-Down cards are public knowledge, just like face up cards.
-Note that this has no bearing on cards placed face-down under other cards, such as That's Broken or Back to Basics.  These do not interact with cards like Turning Everything Upside Down.
-If a card such as That's Broken is flipped over face-down, it will prevent the card under it from being played, as there is no text to allow it.
-Face-Down cards have no Fortitude or Damage values. Anything that relies on one of those values will fail when it attempts to interact with a Face-Down card.
-Once a face-down card leaves the Ring, it stops being face-down and returns to normal. Any effects on the formerly face-down card that reference it leaving play will not fire, since they will only return after the card has already left.

NXT
-Introduced in Virtual 7 (and retroactively adjusting Rookie Superstars from Virtual 5, see below), NXT is a card trait, similar to NWO and WCW. Certain cards and superstars benefit from playing and packing cards with these traits.

PRO
-Introduced in Virtual 5, A Pro is a new type of card packed in the Backstage Area that can only be packed by a Rookie Superstar.
-Only 1 PRO card can be packed.

Promo
-Introduced in Virtual 7, Promo: # is short for "Look at the top # cards of your Arsenal, put 1 of those cards in your hand, and the rest in your Ringside."

Response, Respond
-A player responds to a card by playing a Reversal card, activating a card effect, even if the card is not in their Ring, or activating their Ability.
-Cards that a player may not respond to will still trigger effects from cards in the Ring or Abilities. EXAMPLE: Diamond Dallas Page will still discard for his opponent's copies of Old School Psychology when he plays It's Me...It's Me...It's D-D-P. EXAMPLE 2: Leader of the Edge Army will still draw and cause Raw Guest Host to discard when Raw Guest Host successfully plays The Price is Raw. EXAMPLE 3: Raven will still draw when Festus hits him with a maneuver protected by ....

Rookie
-Introduced in Virtual 5, A Rookie is a Superstar type that may pack 1 PRO card in his Backstage Area. All Rookies are also NXT Superstars.

Search/Location Search
-Introduced in Virtual 10, "Location Search #" means "search (Location) for # cards, reveal them, put them into your hand, and shuffle (Location). Ex: “Arsenal Search 1” = “Search your Arsenal for 1 card, reveal it to your opponent, put it into your hand, and shuffle your arsenal.”
-This was done in an effort to shorten card text.

Stable
-Introduced in Virtual 1, A Stable is a Superstar type similar to a Tag Team, but consisting of multiple members.
-The Backstage Card titled The Numbers Game gives some Classic Raw Deal superstars the option to become a Stable.

WCW
-Introduced in Virtual 2, WCW is a card trait, similar to NWO and NXT. Certain cards and superstars benefit from playing and packing cards with these traits.

Part 3: Backstage Shenanigans

At present, there is no official Virtual Raw Deal rule sheet or ban list (Although rumors of them keep popping up).

However, one major part of Virtual Raw Deal is the inclusion of Backstage Area cards with “Shenanigans” in the title. These cards act as pseudo rules sheets. Each Shenanigans card contains fixes, adjustments, and essentially a list of banned cards (Cards made useless by blanking them).

I'm going to post the text of each of them right now and explain why they are vital.

Enough Shenanigans!
Backstage Card
All players' Calling You Out, Inferno Match Stipulation, It's All About the Game, Piper's Pit, non-Throwback Premiere WWF Superstar, Premiere WWE Superstar, Run the Gauntlet, Yo! Kill da Beat!, Revolution Judgment Day cards are blank.
When he is Ken Kennedy or JBL, his Ability is blank.
When he is Rowdy Roddy Piper, his Ability reads "During your opponent's turns, when he plays a non-Superstar-specific card with 'reverse' in the text, he discards 1 card."
Unique     RMS logo

Really, That's Enough Shenanigans
Backstage Card
Your opponent cannot play more than 3 copies of Who's Cooler Than Michelle McCool?.
All Backfire cards are Permanent, and when any player is not The Rock and has greater Fortitude, his Brahma Bull and Revolution WWE Cruiserweight Title Belt are blank.
When he is Andre the Giant, do not discard for his Ability, and when he hides We Face Each Other as God Intended, during your next Draw Segment, draw up to 2 additional cards.
Unique     RMS logo

No More Shenanigans
Backstage Card
Replace "non-Enforcer, non-Superstar cards" with "non-Superstar-specific Backstage cards without 'Shenanigans' in the title" on all Backstage Shenanigans cards.
When your opponent Activates The Intensity of Ten Cities, you may overturn 1 card and remove that card from the game instead.
When you would discard your hand or Backlash to his effects, you may instead discard # random cards, where # is half the number of cards to be discarded (rounded down).
Unique     RMS logo

Old School Shenanigans
Backstage Card
Your opponent's Break It Out, Break You Down, Breakin' Rules, Breakin' Ground is Active, and his Old School Psychology is Active unless Back To Basics is in his Ring.
When you would discard for WWE Women's Championship Belt, you may overturn 2 cards instead.
When he is Eugene, his Ability cannot be blanked or switched, he cannot play 4D+ reversals, his maneuvers with Momentum do not have it, and he cannot play or use effects from Virtual Superstar-specific cards without his logo, or There Is No Escape.
Unique     RMS logo

Celebrity Shenanigans
Backstage Card
When any player has D: 1+ BASH cards in his Ring, he cannot play Skirt the Issue.
Man of 1000 Holds cannot affect cards with 'leg' or 'arm' in the title.
When any player is Ric Flair and his Ability moves a maneuver from his opponent's Ring, that player puts 2 random cards from his hand on the bottom of his Arsenal and overturns 2 cards. When any player is Test, he cannot play Factions without his logo, or reveal Backstage cards with 'Anniversary' in the title.
Unique     RMS logo

Defeating Villainous Shenanigans
Backstage Card
All players' Straight-Shootin' Interview cards are Active, and are not considered to have 'shoot' in the title for their cards' effects.
Any player's Superstar-specific cards do not count for "Your Town".
When any player is Doink, cards with 'shenanigans' in the title are not considered to be in his Backstage Area for his Ability.
Unique     RMS logo

Nostalgia Shenanigans
Backstage Card
This card is considered Superstar-specific.
Your Wrestlemania is considered Superstar-specific for your opponent's effects, and the maximum number of cards any player can move from Ringside for Wrestlemania is 14.
No player can continue their turn more than 3 times, continue the game more than once, search for a Superstar-specific card with Candice Michelle, Guest Ringside Announcer, move a Superstar-specific card from their Ring with Chicago Street Fight, or discard more than 2 cards for the Test Enforcer Ability. When any player discards for an opponent's Cole Enforcer Ability, he then draws up to 1 card.
Unique     RMS logo

That's all of them. Seven cards in total. Each one has a decent amount of information on them, but its the same exact thing as a rules sheet for Virtual Raw Deal, only they look cooler. The reason these cards exist is because they eliminate just about every NPE in the game. Every card that is blanked, or changed is done show to promote fun and balance. Also, everyone will always pack all of them, so build your decks accordingly.

And there is also this card from Virtual 4, but it's not necessarily a “rules” card, more of a permission card that only a couple superstars can pack.

Tag Team Shenanigans
Backstage Card
Can only be packed when packing Tag cards for your Ability.
You are both the active and inactive player, your opponent is also the inactive opponent.
When you 'tag in', 'tag out', 'tag', or you change the active player, put up to 1 card from your Ringside on the bottom of your Arsenal, and you are considered not to have played any cards this turn.
Your opponent's reversals are unaffected by your Surprise Hit cards.
Unique     RMS logo

Part 4: Virtual Staples

Considering the scope of Virtual Raw Deal, most of the “Staple” cards still belong to Classic Raw Deal. Elbow to the Face, Manager Interferes, Once Is Enough, Sloppy... Very Sloppy, Sidewalk Slam, Divine Intervention, The Raw Deal Revolution, Sustained Damage, A Revolution of the Mind, Restricted use in This Area, and You're as Graceful as a Cow on Ice are all still staple cards, and should be found in just about every deck.

As far as Virtual Staples, the list of true staples is pretty short:

Virtual 1:

Carlito Says "That’s Not Cool!"
Reversal: Special
This card ignores any reversal restrictions from the reversed card.
Reverse any non-unique maneuver with a printed reversal restriction, draw 2 cards, and your opponent discards 2 random cards.
When overturned, this card is -5F and can also reverse any card with Momentum or any non-damage card effect.
F: 5     D: 0     Unique

Virtual 2:

You Missed Your Chance
Reversal: Special
Before playing this card, when your opponent is Mr. Pay-Per-View, ignore his Ability.
Completely reverse any High Risk (including Superplex), or when your Fortitude Rating is 4F- reverse any Trademark.
When this card is overturned, reverse any non-damage card effect (even during the Pre-match phase) and put up to 2 cards from your Ringside on the bottom of your Arsenal.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     RMS logo

Your Reach Exceeds Your Grasp
Mid-match Reversal: Special
Reverse any non-Superstar specific card with printed Fortitude greater than your opponent's Fortitude Rating, or any Multi Volley maneuver; he puts the reversed card into his hand.
ACE: During your turn, you may remove this card from the game and then ignore all play restrictions from his effects for the rest of the turn.  This effect cannot be reversed.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     RMS logo

Virtual 5:

Don't be a Douchebag!
Action / Reversal: Special
As an action, cannot be reversed when you have lower Fortitude; shuffle up to 2 cards from your Ringside into your Arsenal.
As a reversal, ignore any reversal restriction from a card, reverse any non-Unique maneuver that is Revolution or has a reversal restriction from your opponent; when overturned, can also reverse any non-damage card effect (even during the Pre-Match phase), and put this card in to your Ring.
Choose one: draw 1 card or he discards 1 card.
F: 0     D: 2     Unique     Permanent

Out of Nowhere
Action + Action / Reversal: Special
As an action, search your Arsenal, Ringside, and cards removed from game for 1 Superstar-specific Trademark Finisher; reveal it, put it in your hand, and shuffle. When your next card played this turn is a Trademark Finisher, it is F: 0 and ignore the 'Can only be played...' text, and when you have lower Fortitude it now reads "Can only be reversed from Arsenal." until the end of the turn.
As a reversal, this card is F: 0, when overturned and you have 15- cards in your Arsenal, completely reverse any card or card effect and put this card in your Ring (regardless of other effects); you may play this card as your first card on your next turn as if from hand and your opponent cannot respond to it.
F: 25     D: 0     Unique     Multi     Permanent     RMS logo

That's it for cards that belong in 99% of Virtual decks. Five cards. Perhaps a good way to introduce virtual into your playgroup would be to introduce these cards at first.

Please note: There are a LOT of really great cards in Virtual, and I'll be going over them in future articles. However, the above cards are the ones that go with just about every build.

Part 5: Summary

Virtual Raw Deal can seem like a daunting expedition. There is a lot of information to take in. However, if you approach it slowly with an open mind and with the right people you'll realize that it greatly improves the game of Raw Deal.

One player, Luke Lash, compared Virtual Raw Deal to DLC for a video game, which I find an incredible comparison. Suppose like to play Fallout 4, and perhaps you've gotten 100% completion in that game. Now what? You still love the game, but you're tired of doing the same old missions over and over. And then, the Fallout development team creates a DLC of an entirely new set of missions, compatible with your previous Fallout experiences, and perhaps it fixes a few bugs that ruined the original game.

Thank you for reading this article. My next edition will cover the Backstage Area and what virtual has added to it.

Yes you may, however Xavier Woods has to discard 1 card every time he flips a card face up (due to his superstar Ability)

Overrated Superstar
Mid-match Action
When this card is in your Backlash before the Draw Segment of the first turn of the game, and your opponent has more than 12 cards in his hand (when his printed Hand Size 10+, more than 15 cards instead), you may put this card into your Ring and he discards 3 random cards.
F: 0     D: 1     Unique

If opponent meets the hand size requirement, can Test put 2 Overrated Superstars into his ring to make opponent randomly discard 6, or does he put them in one at a time?

I deeply apologize for the necro but I must ask:

"Yeah. Anything that'd trigger Ego Boost's draw will trigger NXT Winner's discard."

Does this mean if Wade discards 2 to reverse a chain they discard 2 also or is it simply 1 per occurence?

The 2 discard for the chain trait is 1 occurence, so opponent would discard 1

Glad to see this article, and glad to see that you're (maybe) bringing the series back, as I enjoy your write-ups.

One question:
Quote
Quote
From NXT to WWE
Pre-match Event
Can only be packed by an NXT Superstar.  Cannot be blanked.
This card and Underrated Superstar do not take up a Pre-match slot in your Ring.
When you draw for your Ability, draw up to 1 additional card, and when you move cards into your Arsenal for your Ability, move up to 1 additional card.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Permanent

This card DOES NOT allow Pete to shuffle in a 4th card from his card for his ability, but it DOES allow Pete to draw an extra card when he shuffles 2+ cards into his arsenal for his ability.

Why is this the case? It seems like his ability is moving cards into his arsenal, and FNtW doesn't seem to suggest any restrictions on how it's checking how the cards are being moved, just that they're moving into the Arsenal. Is it because of the separation of clauses between "choose up to 3" and then the effect of shuffling them into the arsenal?

Let me clarify,

FNtW would allow Pete to move an extra card into his arsenal, however the opponent would still only shuffle the original chosen amount of cards from his hand. Pete's Ability was specifically worded in a way so opponent would not shuffle in a 4th card, even if Pete Dunne wanted to for some reason.

18
My goal is to spotlight and break down different superstars by going in depth on their cards, referenced cards, and different types of builds for them.

Since we're in the middle of the OCTGN tournament, I figured I would break down the superstar I'm using in that tournament, PETE DUNNE!

PART ONE
Let's take a look at his specifics:

Since Pete was in the first installment of Then, Now, Forever – he only has a couple of specifics.

Quote
PETE DUNNE
Starting Hand Size: 6     Superstar Value: 2
NXT Superstar Ability: Once during each of your turns you may choose up to 3 cards in your hand. Your opponent chooses the same number of cards in his hand, and both players shuffle them into their Arsenals. If you chose 2+ cards, both players may then draw 1 card.

First thing's first, Pete is an NXT Superstar, which opens him up for a bunch of really good cards and effects.

Next, he has a 6 hand size, which is fine, but his2 Superstar Value puts him in Underrated Superstar range (and him being NXT also helps him out in that regard)

As for his ability (and I'm totally biased because it was my design), I find it VERY disruptive for your opponent. Even though both players get to choose which cards get shuffled in, Pete gets to determine how many. In the long haul, Pete will end up destroying his opponent's hand. Which is a PERFECT segue for his next card.

Quote
Joint Manipulation
Backstage Area
When packing this card, you may pack up to 6 copies of Split Finger Lock in your Backstage Area and you cannot pack them in your Arsenal.
Once during each of your turns when you play a printed non-Multi maneuver with 'wrist', 'ankle', 'elbow', 'slap', 'suplex', or 'breaker' in the title, you may discard 1 card and then immediately play a maneuver in your Backstage Area as if from hand (it is now a Trademark Finisher). Unless both maneuvers are reversed, both are considered successful.
Unique     RMS logo     NXT logo

and for reference:

Quote
Split Finger Lock
Submission / Action: Set-up
As a maneuver, discard up to 5 cards and your opponent overturns the same number of cards.
As an action, discard this card. Doing this will cause no damage to your opponent. If your next card played this turn is a maneuver, it is +3D.
F: 0      D: 1

Now THIS is what make's Pete Dunne. He gets to essentially 'panic' his maneuvers to make them stick easier. And there are plenty to trick you can pull off with all of the maneuvers he can play with these SFL's.

In my opinion, the best part of this card is that the SFL are played immediately AFTER the other played maneuver. What does that mean? Take a look at these combos

Flawless Transition
Mid-match Grapple / Submission: Chain
Cannot be packed by Shelton Benjamin, Test, or New Nexus.
Can only be played with a non-Superstar-specific printed F: 0 Chain maneuver. When played, choose Grapple or Submission; this card is considered to be only the chosen type for the rest of the turn.
Your opponent cannot play Over Sell Maneuver in response; unless both maneuvers are reversed when played, both are successfully played.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     RMS logo

or

Panic Grab (D)
Mid-Match Submission
Can only be played when your Fortitude Rating is less than your opponent's Fortitude Rating. Can only be played with a printed F:0 Submission maneuver of printed 4D or less from your hand. He cannot play the card titled Over Sell Maneuver immediately after you play these cards.
Unless both maneuvers are reversed when played, both are considered successfully played and both go into your Ring area. Unless both cards are reversed, your turn continues.
 (Restricted Modification Symbol)
F: 0      D: 3

and then play:

Wraparound Wrist Lock (V2)
Submission: Chain
When successfully played, if your next card played this turn is a maneuver, it cannot be reversed from your opponent's Backlash deck.
F: 0      D: 3

with a Trademark Finisher SFL!

That's three maneuvers your opponent has to reverse. The beauty of this is that the maneuvers are pretty small, so A) If they are successful, they have less of a chance of being reversed from arsenal, and B) Your opponent may let them slide because you'll only be gaining 4ish fortitude.

Little do they know that German Suplex (TB) is waiting in your hand, and you can play that German WITH a SFL on your next turn! It's a thing of beauty when it starts to click.

Now the following card is also pretty bananas:

Quote
The Bruiserweight
Pre-match Event
Cannot be blanked. During your Draw Segment, you may draw 1 additional card for every 2 Split Finger Lock cards in your Ring. During your turn you may play Elbow to the Face as a Strike maneuver and it cannot be reversed from your opponent's hand. Whenever you successfully play Elbow to the Face you may draw 2 cards.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Permanent     NXT logo

In all of the games I've played with Pete Dunne, I've always had multiple SFL's in my ring, and end the game drawing at least an additional 2 cards per draw segment. That ability combined with his Superstar Ability... good luck to your opponent trying to keep a stable hand size.

The Elbow to the Face text is a lot more useful than you may think. Not only being able to play it as a maneuver with a reversal restriction, but also the extra draw it gives you. Early in the game that can be huge.

Pete only has one more card, his only arsenal card as of the writing of this article, but it's a good one:

Quote
The Bitter End
Trademark Finisher
When played as a Counter, cannot be reversed from Arsenal by non-Unique cards. Once during each of your turns, when this card is in your hand or Ringside, you may reveal it, put it at the bottom of your Arsenal, and choose 1: put 1 card from your Ringside on the bottom of your Arsenal or put 1 Split Finger Lock from your Ringside into your Backstage.
F: 30     D: 20     SV: 3     Unique     NXT logo

As a maneuver, it is really excellent with a tough reversal restriction. However, my favorite part of this card is the other effect it has when in hand or ringside. Being able to return it to your arsenal will prove to be invaluable to the Pete Dunne player. And it isn't an effect your opponent can reverse. The only thing I can think of is if they have Paul Heyman's Shoot Promo in their ring, in which case you probably won't be using it.

That's all of Pete's cards for now, but he will eventually get more support.

The 4 cards above are already enough for me to consider Pete among the best in the game.

PART TWO
Non-specific cards that can be helpful for Pete Dunne.

As I said above, Pete is an NXT superstar, which gives him access to a bunch of good cards. Such as:

Quote
The NXT Breakout Star
Backstage Card
Can only be packed by an NXT Superstar.
This card is considered Superstar-specific.
Do not discard for Armageddon Is Upon Us.
Once during each of your turns, you may overturn 4 cards and then draw 1 card; when you have lower Fortitude, overturn 2 less cards.
Unique     RMS logo

NXT Arrival
Pre-match Pay-Per-View Event
Can only be packed by an NXT Superstar.  Cannot be packed when packing a Pro or Nexus Armband.
When your opponent successfully plays a maneuver and damage is applied, you may put any number of cards in your Ringside overturned for damage under this card.
When you play a maneuver as a Counter, it is -1F for each card under this card, and when it is successful, put up to 3 random cards under this card on the bottom of your Arsenal and the remaining cards under this card into your Ringside.
ACE:  During your turn you may remove this card from the game, and then shuffle up to 5 cards from your Ringside into your Arsenal.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Permanent     NXT logo

Corey Graves: Savior of Misbehavior
Pre-match Event
Cannot be blanked.
This card and your NXT Arrival do not take up a Pre-match slot in your Ring, and your The NXT Generation cannot be reversed from hand.
When you would move cards from under NXT Arrival, you may put 1 card from under that card on the bottom of your Arsenal.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Permanent     NXT logo

NXT Championship Title Belt
Pre-match Object
Your Starting Hand Size is +1.
When you are Seth Rollins, Big E, or an NXT Superstar, and your opponent is not one of those, your Superstar Value is considered to be 0 for your card effects.
Superstar Value +1     Universally Unique

The NXT Arena, Full Sail University
Pre-match Venue
Can only be packed by an NXT Superstar. Cannot be packed when packing a Pro, The Nexus Armband, or From NXT to WWE.
Cannot be blanked and can be played when your opponent has a Venue in his Ring.
You can play The NXT Generation regardless of your Fortitude Rating, and when it is in your Ring, you may shuffle it into your Arsenal when you successfully play a Superstar-specific NXT card.
Your NXT cards are -1F for every card in your Ring with 'fans' or 'crowd' in the title, and during any turn when you successfully play a Face, Heel, Cheater, or Fan Favorite card you may Promo: 2.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Permanent     NXT logo

The NXT Generation
Action + Action
Shuffle up to 4 non-reversal cards from your Ringside into your Arsenal, draw up to 1 card, and when your opponent is a Legend or Classic WWF Superstar, he puts 1 card from hand on the bottom of his Arsenal.
When you are an NXT Superstar, double those numbers.
F: 12     D: 0     Unique     Multi     NXT logo

Youthful Agility
Action / Reversal: Special
Can only be packed by an NXT Superstar.
When you are Justin Gabriel or Michael Tarver, this card is F: 0.
As an action, shuffle up to 3 cards from your Ringside into your Arsenal.
As a reversal, reverse any Strike, Grapple, or Submission and draw up to 1 card.
F: 8     D: 0     Unique

However, the one I want to focus on is this one:

In my humble opinion, EVERY PETE DUNNE DECK NEEDS THIS CARD.

As far as other good cards go, The usual Wraparound Wrist Lock, German Suplex (TB) are of course great choices, but how about the following cards that allow you to play a SFL with them:

Quote
Ankle Lock
Submission: Chain
When successfully played, your opponent discards 1 card.
Throwback
F: 0      D: 2

Backhand Slap - Throwback
Strike / Reversal: Special
When you are not The Godfather, cannot be packed when packing Sidewalk Slam.
As a maneuver, draw up to 2 cards, and your opponent puts 1 card from his hand on the bottom of his Arsenal.
As a reversal, reverse any card that 'cannot be reversed' or when you are The Godfather, reverse any non-unique Action.
F: 0     D: 2     Unique

Classic Slap
Strike
Can be reversed as if it was non-Unique. When successfully played, overturn up to 2 cards and your opponent overturns the same number of cards. When played by a Female Superstar, he overturns 1 additional card.
F: 0     D: 2     Unique     WWF logo

Classic Ankle Lock
Submission
Can be reversed as if it was non-Unique. When successfully played, put up to 3 cards from your hand on the bottom of your Arsenal and draw the same number of cards. Your opponent chooses the same number of cards in his hand, puts them on the bottom of his Arsenal, and draws that many.
F: 0     D: 2     Unique     WWF logo

Ankle Breaker
Strike
This card is +#D, where # is equal to your Fortitude Rating.
¶ (Restricted Modification Symbol)
Raw logo
SV: 2
F: 0      D: 3

BASH Suplex
Grapple + Grapple
Cannot be packed by Female Superstars.
Multi
SV: 1
F: 3 D: 7

Those are only a handful of them. I'll cover a lot more in....

PART THREE
Specific Build Types

Pete is a superstar that you can play in a multitude of ways, in fact his lack of Specifics makes it easier to diversify your build. Here are a couple to consider:

First Idea: Chain

I'll lead with this because it's the obvious one. Pete's ability lends itself to dismantling your opponent's hand, and chain is the best way to do that. I'll spare listing a bunch of chain cards. They're all good with Pete.

Second Idea: Heat

This one is slightly more out of the box, but here me out. All of the following maneuvers can be played with SFL:

Quote
Slap
Strike: Heat
When successfully played, you may draw 1 card or shuffle 1 card from your Ringside pile into your Arsenal.
"Of all people, Nunzio should know not to cross the family." - Michael Cole
F: 0      D: 2

Snap Neckbreaker (V2)
Grapple: Heat
F:  0      D: 4

Running Elbow Smash
Strike: Heat
When successfully played, your opponent may look at your hand, choose 1 card, and you put the chosen card on top of your Arsenal.
Throwback
F: 2      D: 8

Whirling Elbow
Strike: Heat
When successfully played, you may discard any number of cards and then draw the same number of cards.
Cheater Logo
SV: 2
F: 11      D: 10

Quick Snap Suplex
Grapple: Heat
When successfully played, choose 1: remove any number of Heat cards in your Ringside pile from the game and then search your Arsenal for the same number of Heat cards, put them into your Ringside pile, and shuffle your Arsenal; or discard any number of Heat cards and then search your Arsenal for the same number of Heat cards, remove them from the game, and shuffle your Arsenal.
F: 7 D: 8

That's not a bad mix of maneuvers. And being able to play them from ringside is awesome.

The downside to this build is that you lose NXT Arrival, which is a REALLY good card.

Third Idea: Man of 1000 Holds/Ring Psychology

Quote
Man of 1000 Holds
Pre-match Event
Cannot be played by a Female Superstar.
Your opponent cannot play the card titled Old School Wrestling Match.
If you have 3 or more cards in your Ring area with the word "psychology" in the title, change "If you have 3 or more..." and "If you have 4 or more..." in the text of your cards with the word "psychology" in the title to "If you have 1 or more..."
Active
Permanent
F: 0      D: 0

Three of the Ring Psychology cards are legitimate plays in a Pete Dunne Deck

Ring Psychology: Arm
Pre-match Event
If you have 4 or more Grapple or Submission maneuvers in your Ring area with the words "arm," "shoulder," or "wrist" in the title, your Grapple and Submission maneuvers are +4D and your opponent's non-High-Risk maneuvers do a maximum of 4D.
Active
Permanent
F: 0      D: 0

This one in particular has A BUNCH of cards Pete can benefit from. All of the Suplexes and Neck Breakers contribute to both RP: Neck and Joint Manipulation.

PART FOUR
In conclusion:

I am 100% biased, but I think Pete is already a great superstar to build in Raw Deal both for experienced players AND veterans. His opponents will most likely have a difficult time keeping their hand to a manageable number, all while Pete keeps adding to his own. I can't wait to see what support Pete will get in upcoming sets!

Please comment anything I may have forgotten or overlooked, or if you've built a Pete Dunne deck before!

I hope you enjoyed this, and hopefully learned a few things.

I just noticed that "Third Generation Superstar" and "3rd Generation Superstar" have different names, yet 3rd is still a throwback. Was that intentional?
