Rules Forum / Re: Got a ? about Unorthodox Style Of Wrestling
« on: September 09, 2019, 04:42:08 PM »
So my ? Is this means my Flying Choke Hold cannot be Reversed from Hand or Backlash?

And the only way to reverse it by like Backhand Slap or a Reversal that reverse's Cannot Be reversed if they have it in their Backlash or Hand.

Wrong. Backhand Slap (TB) only reverses a Completely Irreversible Card. This hypothetical Flying Choke Hold that has 2 reversal restrictions (WAWL + protection from UnorthodoxSOW) STILL can be reversed.  For example, it can still be reversed from Ringside, from Arsenal, from the Ring, from the Backstage, etc.

And this goes for all High Risk+Any Non High Risk Card Type if I play it after a Submission Correct?
Yes. Multis are considered all their types when played.

Rules Forum / Re: Saturn's ability and Flawless Transition
« on: August 12, 2019, 08:03:29 AM »
WCW / ECW Superstar Ability:  During each of your turns, when you have not played Everything and the Kitchen Sink your opponent discards 1 card in order to be able to reverse your Chain or Foreign Object maneuver cards from hand or Backlash.
You cannot pack maneuver cards that are not Chain or Foreign Object, unless they are Grapples with 'suplex' in the title (which are now Chain) or Sidewalk Slam.  You may pack No Sell Maneuver cards and Technical Superiority.

Flawless Transition
Mid-match Grapple / Submission: Chain
Cannot be packed by Shelton Benjamin, Test, or New Nexus.
Can only be played with a non-Superstar-specific printed F: 0 Chain maneuver. When played, choose Grapple or Submission; this card is considered to be only the chosen type for the rest of the turn.
Your opponent cannot play Over Sell Maneuver in response; unless both maneuvers are reversed when played, both are successfully played.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     RMS logo

Full card text for full visibility. Saturn's ability isn't modifying Flawless Transition but the opponent's ability to play reversals to it.  Saturn's opponent will have to discard an extra card to reverse Flawless Transition even with it's cool little RMS symbol on it.

1.) It is a Maneuver.  So it can not be reversed by cards that reverse  non-Maneuvers.

2.)  Yes.

Virtual Deck Reviews / Re: A.J. Styles: The Phenomenal One
« on: July 30, 2019, 03:17:08 PM »
As with all things in the Deck Review forums, you kinda at least need to give a synopsis on what you play in the Pre-Match, why you packed certain cards that you normally don't play in the Pre-Match, what your general strat is in game, and how you plan to get off the ground.

Or else, its literally a list of cards. Also you say you're using very few cards from the VRD whether by choice or not. It's very hard to assist if you're hampering anyone who wants to help by saying you trying to use less Virtual cards other than the Superstar.

Rules Forum / Re: Commitment Ceremony
« on: June 26, 2019, 07:54:58 AM »
No.  You gotta finish playing the Panic and the maneuver with it.  You either use the Commitment Ceremony before playing the Panic and the Maneuver with it or after fully resolving the Panic and the maneuver with it.

Rules Forum / Re: Commitment Ceremony
« on: June 26, 2019, 07:34:30 AM »
From the OMNI

Panic Assault, Panic Grab, Panic Throw (rulings for all three)
-The Panic Maneuver is played first, and that allows the player to reveal a Maneuver from hand and play it.

So what would happen is you trigger Commitment Ceremony, call Multi for your next move and when you try and play Panic, it's considered first.

Rules Forum / Re: Heat Deck Question
« on: May 02, 2019, 12:27:28 PM »
Your friends are wrong. If you use HEAT:Trait to play a Heat card from RINGSIDE, you won't remove from game any Heat cards in your ringside.

Rules Forum / Re: A Method to the Madness discard protection

I would've answered this earlier if you had provided text.

Blindside Beal Toss

You may play this card from your Ringside pile.
When played from your Ringside pile, your opponent looks at your Backlash deck, chooses 1 non-unique card, and you discard the chosen card.

AMttM will protect you from discarding a Backlash card.

Of course Cheater/Volley would seem to be a natural fit as opposed to FF for a guy stuck with Strikes. Which is part of the reason 24-inches was made Fan Favorite, to promote other Hogan decks/play-styles.

So we know who number 30 is.
Full results will be posted this Monday afternoon.

Classic Deck Reviews / Re: Shawn Michaels Toolbox

Pro tip: if you want better feedback when posting decks, give a brief synopsis. What do you play in the Prematch and why? Do you search for anything in the Prematch and what?

How do you intend to get initial fortitude? How do you intend to win the game?

Otherwise posting a decklist with nothing else is just a checklist of words.

Classic Raw Deal / Re: Virtual All Axxess, do you play it?
« on: August 28, 2018, 09:44:55 AM »
I'd much rather only have two decks to play for world's it would be kinda nice to know I'm actually going to get to play them (at least) twice that way and in the playoffs let the higher seed decide the format on the 3rd game from the two, also rewarding the guy who had the better round of Swiss in an important way

side note. Letting the higher seed choose the format AFTER they've played the format seems bad as they'll have way too much information. Highly recommend higher seed choose the tie-breaker format BEFORE the matches start.

Another +1 for Star Realms. I remember when Mitch and I used to play it daily...

Skirt vs. Skirt and First Blood Match come to mind as the best stips.

If you or a loved one need a primer before Wrestlemania, I found this great one on Reddit that I felt was worthy of sharing.

I saw this as well. I remain optimistic while also realizing that we won't be seeing anything resembling his Wrestlemania 30 run due to his long inactivity.  But I can hope...
