Everybody Has to Think About Paying Taxes!
Pre-match Event
Your Superstar-specific non-Faction Pre-match cards cannot be blanked and do not take up a Pre-match slot in your Ring.
During your turn, when you have no cards with 'nWo' or 'don't care' in the title in your Ring, you may choose 1 non-Heat card in your opponent's Ringside, and he may remove 1 card in his hand from the game; if he does not, he removes the chosen card from the game.
ACE:  When your Irwin R. Schyster-specific card or your card with 'Million Dollar Corporation' in the text is unsuccessful, you may remove 1 card in your Ringside from the game and then put the reversed card into your hand or Backlash instead (regardless of other effects).  This effect cannot be reversed.

When does the bold part happens? IRS's first turn of the game? Once per game? Once per turn? As many times as possible? (although this might be unlikely)

Wrestling in Sports Equipment
Backstage Card
When your opponent chooses correctly for your Ability, and you have less than 8 cards under this card, you may put the top card of your Arsenal under this card.
Cards under this card may be played as if from hand.
Once during each of your turns, you may put 1 card under this card on the bottom of your Arsenal and then you may put the top card of your Arsenal under this card.
Unique     WCW logo     RMS logo

May I know if the cards under Wrestling in Sports Equipment are considered to be hidden or are they open to the opponent? Since cards like Santino's Casa and the Heartbreak Hotel is considered to be open to opponent, I suppose Sports Equipment would be the same as well right? On another hand, are there any wordings to show that cards under other cards are hidden or revealed? Because obviously cards like That's Broken and Keibler Cookies are meant to have the cards be hidden but I can't find the key words that differentiate them.

Card Text:

Santino's Casa
Pre-match Event
Cannot be blanked.
All cards with the same title as a card under this card are also considered antics for your effects.
Once during each of your turns, you may either: put 1 non-Unique non-Set-up non-antic card from your hand or Ringside under this card, OR ACE: randomly remove 1 card under this card from the game, and then put all cards under this card into your hand.

The Heart Break Hotel
Pre-match Event
During your turn when there are no cards under this card, you may place the bottom card of your Arsenal under this card.
Once during each of your turns, you may reveal the card under this card, and when it is a High Risk, you may play it as if from hand; ACE: when it is not, shuffle it back into your Arsenal and draw up to 2 cards.

Rules Forum / A Few Questions
« on: March 15, 2014, 11:45:25 PM »
Hi, I have recently run in to a few scenarios while brainstorming, so I would like to see if anyone can help me here.

1) Is "Requirement: ###" considers the same as having that card in your Ring for it to be played? Or is it for deck construction? For example, I'm packing this:

E-C-DUB!  E-C-DUB!
Action
Requirement: Allegiance: ECW
When this card is in your hand, you successfully played a maneuver of 9D+ and it is not reversed, you may put this card into your Ring, shuffle up to 3 cards removed from the game into your Arsenal, reveal The House That Hardcore Built, and then search your Arsenal for 1 maneuver, reveal it, put it in your hand, and shuffle.  When you are a printed Extremist, double all non-Damage numbers on this card.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     ECW logo

Do I have to have ECW allegiance to pack this card? Do I have to have ECW allegiance in my Ring to use the effects of this card? As you can see from the card text, this card is not played at all, it is placed in to the Ring instead. So is it a loophole that I can take advantage of?

2)

The Wildcat     (Sable logo)
Backstage Card
When packing this card, you may only pack 1 Enforcer (it has no brand), but you may pack up to 6 cards in your Arsenal for Superstars on that Enforcer card.  You may not pack Corners.
Your Sable-licious is Permanent and your Sable Bomb is blank.
Once during each of your turns, you may put For the Women Who Want to Be Me from your Ring into your Ringside, and your next card played this turn is -3F.
Unique     RMS logo

Hollywood Hogan, Syxx, or Kevin Nash?
Backstage Card: nWo Enforcer
Can only be revealed if your Superstar card says you can reveal an Enforcer card.  Cannot be packed by a GM, except Eric Bischoff.  When you successfully play an nWo card, reveal this card and you may choose a new Enforcer.
•   Starting Hand Size: +7
Superstar Value: +6
Superstar Ability: + Once during each of your turns, you may overturn 3 cards and then search your Arsenal for a maneuver that is not Unique, Throwback, Submission, or High Risk; reveal it, put it in your hand, and shuffle your Arsenal.
•   Starting Hand Size: +6
Superstar Value: +2
Superstar Ability: + During each of your Draw Segments, draw 2 additional cards, and then discard 1 card.
•   Starting Hand Size: +6
Superstar Value: +4
Superstar Ability: + Your cards with "bomb," "power," or "slam" in the title are -3F and +3D, and when you have no maneuvers with those words in the title in your Ring, your maneuvers with those words in the title are Multi.

So now we have a virtual Kevin Nash, will Wildcat still allow Sable to pack Hall n Nash cards or will it be errata to packing Kevin Nash's cards instead?

Thanks in advance for any help!  ;)

All cards with the same title as a card under this card are also considered antics for your effects.

F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Permanent

Hello, may I know if I put a RMS card under Casa, can I discard the same RMS card for my ability? Since it is only considered an antic for my effects as the card itself did not become an antic, I am not modifying the card right?

Rules Forum / Some Enquiries
« on: January 06, 2014, 09:51:43 AM »
First of all, I would like to apologize if I have been irritating for the argument on the ACE. As I have just realized I have been fooled a lot of times by a Wrestlemania Immortal One deck. But since then, I have seen a few examples that have contradiction with the rule that both cost and effect must be performed in full by the player activating it.

E.g.

1)

Raw Roulette Wheel - Throwback
Pre-match Stipulation
Your Pre-match Capacity is +1.
Reveal up to 3 different Stipulations (except Hell in a Cell Match) from your Backlash, immediately play 1 of them face-up on top of this card and put the rest under this card.  The card on top of this card is considered to be in your Ring.
ACE:  Once during each of your turns, you may discard 1 card and then put any Stipulation on top of this card under this card and put 1 random Stipulation from under this card on top of this card.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Permanent     RMS logo

If I'm not wrong, the motive of this card is to first, prevent the use of Skirt Vs Skirt match with the wheel and second, prevent the wheel from being unusable after being reversed once.

So my question is, if the stipulation on top of the wheel is for example, Duchess of Queensbury Rules, after using it's ACE to remove HIAC from opponent's ring, is the wheel still usable since there isn't a stipulation on top of it anymore?

2)

Cheat to Win
Pre-match Event
Cannot be packed when packing In The Interest Of Fairness, or when you are The Heat Seekers.
Your opponent's Starting Hand Size is -1.
ACE:  When he reverses your non-maneuver Cheater card, you may remove this card and the card that reversed your Cheater card from the game, and then ignore the reversal effect.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Cheater

If the your non-maneuver Cheater card is reversed by the ACE of Rules Were Meant To Be Broken (or other effects other than a reversal card), are you able to use the ACE of Cheat to Win since
Cheat to Win did not mention reversal? Will Rules be removed from the game or will the ACE of Cheat to Win be unusable?

3)

<Raw Deal logo> Fifth Anniversary
Backstage Area
Can only be revealed from your Backstage Area when you reveal your Superstar card. During your turn you may hide this card, overturn 5 cards, and shuffle 5 cards from your Ringside pile into your Arsenal.
Unique

This is what I quoted from the omnifaq:

Raw Deal Fifth Anniversary
-Test can pack 2 copies of this card.
-The recovery of cards can be prevented by Hell in a Cell Match.
-It is legal to use this card to generate a Pinfall effect, and that effect can be countered with cards such as Through All Of These Years or Wrestlemania - if the ACE is reversed, the Pinfall still occurs.
-If the use of this card generates a Pinfall effect that is prevented by a card, that card is resolved completely, then the 5 cards are shuffled back to finish resolving Fifth Anniversary.

From what I see, this card allow you to use it's effect even if you do not have at least 5 cards in your Arsenal, hence it contradicts the rule of paying the cost and effect in full. Is Fifth Anniversary the only card that is able to escape from this rule?

4)

May I know that since the rule of ACE is to pay the full cost and full effect in order to be legit, why is there a need for the errata from this:

Give Yourself a Hand!
Mid-match Action + Action
Cannot be reversed and cannot be blanked.
Your opponent overturns cards equal to double the number of Puppies! Puppies! in your Ring, then shuffle all your Puppies! Puppies! cards in your Ring and Ringside pile into your Arsenal and draw up to 2 cards.
ACE: When this card is in your Ring or Ringside, you may put this card in your Backlash, and then remove 2 Puppies! Puppies! cards in your Ring and/or Ringside from the game.
F: 0 D: 0 Unique Multi

to this:

Give Yourself a Hand!     (Mae Young logo)
Mid-match Action + Action
Cannot be reversed and cannot be blanked.
Your opponent overturns cards equal to double the number of Puppies! Puppies! in your Ring, then shuffle all your Puppies! Puppies! cards in your Ring and Ringside into your Arsenal and draw up to 2 cards.
ACE:  During your turn when this card is in your Ring or Ringside, you may remove 2 Puppies! Puppies! cards in your Ring and/or Ringside from the game, then put this card in your Backlash.  This effect cannot be reversed.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Multi

Thanks in advance for any help given. I apologize again if I am offending anyone here but I just want to have a clear picture of the game as I love Raw Deal as much as anyone on TCO does.

Rules Forum / A Few Questions
« on: October 02, 2013, 09:49:14 AM »
Hi all, I have run in to some uncertainties with certain cards, so here are a few questions.

First of all,

I Came To Play!
Pre-match Event
Cannot be blanked.
Your cards with "trash talk" in the title or text do not take up a Pre-match slot in your Ring.
When you would discard cards for your opponent's effects, you may instead overturn the same number of cards.
F: 0     D: 0     Permanent     Unique

For this card, do you overturn what you can discard (smth like EnC ability) or do you overturn everything. For example, if your opponent plays spit at opponent when you have only 2 cards in hand, do you overturn 2 cards or 4 cards?

Secondly,

Throw Into the Corner Turnbuckle - Throwback
Mid-match Action
Your Lock, Stock, and Barrel maneuvers are blank.
During your turn, when this card is in your Backlash, you may put it into your Ring.
During your turn, when this card is in your Ringside, you may discard 2 cards and then put this card into your Backlash.
ACE: Once during each of your turns, you may discard 2 cards and then your next card played this turn is considered to be played after Throw Into the Corner Turnbuckle and after a Set-up card.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique

Now, when you activate the effect of this card, are you able to play cards that can only be played after a successfully played card? E.g. precision sleeper, apply legal leverage etc.

Lastly,

R-TRUTH
Starting Hand Size: 7     Superstar Value: 3
Superstar Ability: Your first maneuver played each turn that is not Chain, Foreign Object, Heat, Multi, Revolution, or Volley is considered Unique.
Your Eve: Dirty Dancer is not Fan Favorite.
Your Arsenal may only contain 50 cards, and your Backlash may only contain 8 Pre-match and 8 Mid-match cards.  You may pack High-Flying Style, and you may pack Face and Heel cards in your Little Jimmy Deck, but you may not pack Face or Heel cards (including Superstar-specific cards) in any other Area.

Is the Little Jimmy Deck consider to be a separate deck that can bypass packing rules? Like how Rick Rude Allegiance deck can pack both Raw and Smackdown allegiance? So is it legal to build a BASH Truth and add Little Jimmy in later? Is it legal to build a Smackdown Truth and add in Forceable Entry (Raw Heel card) later?

Rules Forum / Oooh Yeah! Question
« on: September 24, 2013, 04:39:59 AM »
OOOOH YEAH!
Action
During your turn when you have not played any cards, you may put this card from your hand into your Ring.
When this card is in your Ring, your maneuvers with 'blindside' in the title are -4F and Multi.
When you successfully play a maneuver, put this card from your Ring or Ringside on the bottom of your Arsenal.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique

May I know if since this card automatically puts itself on the bottom of the Arsenal after a maneuver is successfully played, would the successfully played maneuver no longer be considered multi when applying damage?

Flurry of Finishers - Throwback
Mid-match Action
Cannot be packed by The Home Team or The Heat Seekers.
During your turn when you are a Stable and have not played or Activated any cards this turn, you may put this card from your Backlash into your Ring.  When the next card you play this turn is a Trademark Finisher, you may play up to 1 additional Trademark Finisher from hand, Backlash, or Ringside (as if from hand or Backlash) with it, and you may ignore the 'Can only be played...' text on 1 of those cards.  Unless both maneuvers are reversed when played, both are considered successfully played; after damage is resolved, your turn ends.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Permanent

May I know if the activation refers only to ACE or any sort of effect, like hiding a backstage card or even placing thrust knee lift under the arsenal.

Rules Forum / Wolfpac Question
« on: September 21, 2013, 12:04:33 PM »
Wolfpack Is Back, Causin’ Mass Destruction
Pre-match Event
Your opponent’s Starting Hand Size is -1 for each card with the same title in his Ring.
Replace the "Grapple maneuvers" text with "Reversal cards" on your Too Sweet!
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     nWo

May I know how the handsize reduction is calculated?

For e.g. if my opponent have 3 unbreakable chain in his ring, is his starting handsize minus 1 or is it minus 3? The wording seems to be appropriate for both cases.

Virtual Raw Deal / Question with Bryan
« on: September 05, 2013, 06:39:54 AM »
Accompanied by A.J.
Pre-match Event
Cannot be blanked.
Your Daniel Bryan-specific cards do not take up a Pre-match slot in your Ring.
Once during each of your turns when you successfully play a maneuver, you may search your Arsenal for a maneuver of a different type that is not Unique, Revolution or a reversal; reveal it, put it in your hand, and shuffle.  ACE:  When you search, you may overturn 5 cards and the maneuver does not have to be non-Unique.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Permanent

Does the "Revolution" refers to card with the <R> logo or any maneuver type that was introduced in the Revolution format? E.g. Assault from Whirlwind Kick

Bryan's Trademark Surfboard
Submission
When played after a successfully played maneuver, cannot be reversed by non-Superstar-specific reversals from hand or Backlash.
When this card is in your hand and you overturn cards, you may discard this card and 1 other card instead of overturning.
F: 10     D: 8     Unique

Does this card means I can save myself from any damage just by discarding this card and another card?
(That's really overpowered in my opinion if you don't have to take any TMF damage from a maneuver or reversal)

Rules Forum / Tribal trouble

Tribal Trouble (Umaga logo)
Backstage Card
When you are Umaga, your Samoan Drop is Chain, when you successfully play that card, put up to 3 cards from Ringside on the bottom of your Arsenal, and when you do not have a card with that title in your Ring, it is also "Reversal: non-unique maneuver or Clutch Onto Opponent".
During your turn, you may hide this card and then search your Arsenal for 1 non-Unique non-hybrid maneuver, reveal it, put it in your hand, and shuffle.

Since this card never state when packed in the beginning, so I'm guessing Samoan drop only become chain after tribal trouble is revealed. So my qns is, would it be legal to pack Samoan drop with tribal trouble in an umaga bash deck?

Rude's Changing Alliances     (Rick Rude logo)
Allegiance Deck
This deck may only contain Allegiance cards (regardless of other cards packed), but you may not pack Allegiance cards in your Backlash.
When you reveal your Superstar card, put 1 card in this deck on top of this card; once during each of your turns, you may put the card on top of this card into this deck, and then put 1 card in this deck on top of this card.
The card on top of this card is considered to be in your Ring for your card effects.
Unique

Interviewed by Mean Gene Okerlund
Pre-match Event
Cannot be packed by The People's Team, The Home Team, Cryme Tyme, or when packing a card with 'salary', 'no escape', 'cruiser', or 'Vickie' in the title.  Cannot be blanked.
At the end of the Pre-match phase, you may discard up to 3 cards and then draw the same number of cards.
Your opponent cannot respond to your Good Things Sometimes Happen, Turn the Tide, and Turn Up the Heat cards.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Permanent

According to virtual FAQ

Rude's Changing Alliances
-The Allegiance cards are not 'packed' so it is legal to put all 10 Allegiance cards into this deck.
-Cards on top of this card are considered to be 'in your Ring'; it will allow you to play cards with an Allegiance Requirement (such as Team Spirit) and its effects will affect your cards.

So you can pack Mean Gene in your deck and still pack 'salary' cards in the allegiance deck?

Old School Cage Match
Pre-match Stipulation
When a non-unique non-Superstar specific card or a card effect from a non-unique non-Stipulation non-Superstar specific card moves cards from any Ringside, the number of cards moved is reduced by 1.
When Back to Basics is in your Ring, your Pre-match Capacity is +3, and your opponent cannot play I'm Gonna Break You.

Will the effect of old school cage match affect volley this to the extend that it can only reverse 0f actions?
Will it affect thrust knee lift in a way that there is only a need for 1 card in opponent ringside to use its effects?

After all damage has been applied, discard 1 card and your opponent discards 2 cards.
When your next card played this turn is Maintain Hold, you may ignore the "Can only be played after..." text.
When this card has been removed from the game and you discard cards, put this card and up to 1 other card removed from the game on the bottom of your Arsenal.
F: 8     D: 8     SV: 1     Unique

Does this mean as long as the maneuver is reversed before all damage has been apply, there is no need to discard 1 card and opponent discarding 2 card?

Bryan's Trademark Surfboard

When played after a successfully played maneuver, cannot be reversed by non-Superstar-specific reversals from hand or Backlash.
When this card is in your hand and you overturn cards, you may discard this card and 1 other card instead of overturning.

If I play maintain hold after Bryan's Trademark Surfboard after a successfully played maneuver, does the maintained effects of Bryan's Trademark Surfboard be cannot be reversed by non-Superstar-specific reversals from hand or Backlash?

The YES! Lock
Trademark Finisher + Submission
You may search your Arsenal for Maintain Hold, reveal it, put it in your hand, and shuffle.
When this card is reversed from Arsenal, your opponent's reversal is removed from the game instead, and you may put this card on the bottom of your Arsenal.
During your turn when this card is in your hand, you may reveal it, and then overturn 1 card, draw 1 card, and put this card on the bottom of your Arsenal.
F: 25     D: 20     SV: 3     Unique     Multi

If I play Maintain Hold after The YES! Lock, and my opponent reversed it from the Arsenal, will I put The YES! Lock on the bottom of my Arsenal? Or will I put Maintain Hold on the bottom of my Arsenal? Or Neither?

Thanks is advance for anyone who can clarify these questions for me.  :)

May I know if the ACE of this card requires me to have 2 puppies in my Ring and/or Ringside to activate it? Because from my understanding, ACE is (cost = mandatory) and (effect = as much as possible) (e.g. like how the new roulette wheel can be activated even if there are no stip on top of it). And from the wording of this card's ACE, it seems that I have to put it into my Backlash to activate it, follow by I would have to remove 2 puppies from Ring and/or Ringside if there are any. Kindly enlighten me if I have made a mistake because this card might seem really abusive to me. Haha!

As you can see, these superstars' ability convert certain maneuvers to chain cards, so does that mean they cannot packed those (converted to chain) maneuvers in a BASH deck because of the BASH rule? Word Up (Cryme Tyme logo)
Backstage Card
Your Cryme Tyme-specific cards do not take up a Pre-match slot in your Ring.
At the end of the Pre-match phase, name a word of at least 6 letters. When you successfully play a maneuver with that word in the title, draw up to 1 card and shuffle 1 card from your Ringside into your Arsenal.

Doesn't both Cryme Time-specific pre-match have RMS? So what is the point of the bolded text?

Where the Big Boys Play
Pre-match Allegiance: WCW
Can be played regardless of The Boogeyman’s Ability.
When played by a WCW Superstar, you may search your Arsenal for 2 cards and put them under this card, then shuffle your Arsenal.
When you put a WCW card into your Ring, your opponent discards 1 card.
Once during each of your turns, you may put the bottom card of your Arsenal under this card.
ACE: Once during each of your turns, when it is not your first turn of the game and you have lower Fortitude, you may remove 2 cards under this card from the game; then look at his hand and choose 2 reversal cards, those cards cannot be played to the next card you play this turn.

What does the bold text mean? Does successfully playing a WCW card counts?

Halloween Havoc
Pre-match Pay-Per-View Event
Can only be played by a WCW Superstar.
This card does not take up a Pre-match slot in your Ring.
Your opponent draws 3 cards, and then you put the top card of your Arsenal face-down as a non-Unique D: 3 Strike played from hand, and he may attempt to reverse it as if it was your turn; if he does not, put the card under this card.  He discards 2 cards.
When there is a card under this card and you have no Pre-match cards of D:1+ in your Ring, your Fortitude Rating is +3F.

What if the top card of the Arsenal is not a legal card to be faced down? (e.g. RMS card, permanent card, active card) Can opponent reverse the card from Backlash as well? (e.g. Eddie playing Ultimo Rechazo) Regardless of what happened (reversed or not), opponent still discard 2 cards right? Then is it as good as saying that card will be stuck under Halloween Havoc for the rest of the game if it wasn't reverse? Does opponent take the 3 damage and still be allowed to reverse it from Arsenal?
