Virtual Raw Deal / Re: Sid

That straight-lined one should be a Sid Justice-era.  You k now, before the character went Psycho.

Another one could be one with no picture; that would be on honor of his true reputation. ;D

General Discussion: Raw Deal / Re: printing certain cards
« on: January 11, 2018, 01:54:13 PM »
That is an easy copy and paste job on a Word (or Word alternative) document.

First, you need to do is download the related Word file.  Adter that, open both it and a blank one.
Then just click the image of the card you want, hold "ctrl" and press "c".  Then go to the blank file, hold "ctrl" and press "v" as many times as you want to copy the card.
Finally, just print the page(s) of the one you made and you shoulkd be all set.

General Discussion: Raw Deal / Re: Why NOT Gen Con???
« on: December 28, 2017, 12:56:25 PM »
To dig in further for Gen Con (for now, if you want to know some rumblings about what it looks like it's going, we can talk elsewhere), the truth is that Indy has hosted Worlds for the past decade.  Raw Deal at Gen Con is established as something that will get between 10 and 25 unique people every year; I don't know if anywhere else has that consistency to fall on right now.

That's not to say don't run elsewhere.  If the rumblings are more than heresay, it may be needed.

On top of that, any time guys can get together to game and have fun should never be scoffed at

Fantasy Cards / Re: Seth Rollins- I Always Have A Plan B.
« on: November 04, 2017, 04:08:52 PM »
totally forgot it was rms, could just add in the text that the card is considered to not be rms.

You could also make it an ACE(?) with the fantasy card reversing when Always Have a Plan B is overturned.

Then you just add a line where you can pack Always Have a Plan B as if it was not Smackdown.

Unfortunately, you can't.
Not even ignoring any "Can only be played after..." text doesn't work.

Deck Reviews - Classic / Re: The Crippler + Hell in a Cell Match
« on: October 08, 2017, 03:10:59 PM »
OH, I thought you meant opponent....

Benoit has too many good recovery cards, the Box probably hurts him as much as it helps though

The trick is that you know HiaC is being thrown out (since you're the one doing it) and you bypass the Benoit recovery cards, as well as any other recovery that wouldn't work in the Cell; you use Crippler's Ability (and the one with the Angle logo) as your recovery base.
You do that to mess with your opponent's ability to recover.

Does it work?  Yes, to a point.  I know since I had one built.  It was never going to be top-tier as too many variables messed with the design, but it was an effective design if no one saw it coming.
I eventually made an Inferno Match (tb) variant that relied upon reversing from the overturn and Multis to do damage.  That was much more effective, as people got to the point that I'd reverse on 1-3, then shuffle back in everything I needed.  Thank God Inferno Match (tb) got the kick in the nuts it needed is all I'll say after playing that deck.

Joined, but having trouble finding any type of checklist.

It's a little bit down (they've been active with the new storyline and Xander's brother showing up) on the posts.  A lot more than I realized.

I decided to cut out the B.S. and just send the link to you on FB Messenger.

If you're on Facebook, you should look up the "XCW's SuperShow Fan Page" group.  I know Bryan has a decent Spreadsheet (even though it's missing a few minor things) that can serve as a starting point for any database you may need.

As far as I know, Cody will sign anything with the Rhodes names; Stardust may be harder since I've never seen or heard about anyone asking him on that.

If you really wanted to, get him to sign a Dusty face card.

Professional Wrestling Discussion / Re: R.I.P Bobby Heenan
« on: September 19, 2017, 09:21:42 AM »
Pretty much the whole Heenan Family is reunited up there besides Arn and Tully.

I can only imagine the chaos they're causing.  :(

RIP to the greatest manager, and color commentator in the history of Pro Wrestling.

Wait, did I miss Haku/Meng passing?

No.  Even death fears Haku after hearing the stories, and I don't blame death.

After having a discussion with friends on his legacy, we realized that Heenan shaped everything in the business st least as much as Hogan or Flair, and probably more-so.
If WWE doesn't have a huge tribute to Heenan, they are doing him a huge disservice.

General Discussion: Raw Deal / Re: Xavier Woods' Twitter
« on: August 25, 2017, 06:51:22 PM »
I'm not trying to argue or dispute any points made here but am I missing something? All I read was him wanting to make a "mobile version". I assumed that meant for phones or tablets, not a store product.

Here's the one issue coming into play with anything Raw Deal coming back:  WWE's Licensing.
Unless the Fed signs a paper to give anyone the rights to use their trademarks and likenesses, Raw Deal as a mobile app is nothing more than a dream and a discussion.  Anything that goes out using WWE's Trademarks would not only get shut down, but the creators would probably be taken to court.

Now, the fact that one of the bigger draws for Vince is openly talking about it (and another thing that's being reported separate from this topic) might be the first step beyond that dream and discussion.

Could it happen?  Maybe, but we are still years of work away from it even being real.

Also, if the rumors are true and Mr. Austin Creed/Xavior Woods occasionally stops into TCO; I urge you to look into SuperShow.  Several people are on these forums and you can easily find them active on Facebook (not as much Twitter, shame on them).

General Discussion: Raw Deal / Re: GEN CON ROLL CALL
« on: July 23, 2017, 07:27:01 PM »
Is the schedule for Gencon (both raw deal and super show) posted anywhere?

I have not played raw deal since the last chance qualifier for worlds for the Detroit wrestlemania (the one with god emperor trump)

but I played super show at origins and it was a good time

Also will my jake roberts deck from 10 years ago still be legal?  That's all the Supershow events.  Also note that even though an event is sold out, Generics will be accepted (at least that's what Steve Resk last said)  That's your RDPC list.

Supershow Rules / Pack vs. Play
« on: July 22, 2017, 10:59:46 AM »
So Snake Pitt has a base Agility of 7; but if he has less cards in hand then his opponent it goes to 8.

So my question is this:  Can he pack the 718 (which has a requirement of an 8+ Agility), and just have it a dead card he can't play until his ability is active?

General Chat / Re: The time to act is now...
« on: July 06, 2017, 10:32:59 AM »
Note:  I know this will be gone once that server move finally happens, but this is breaking news people need to see.

It happened.  Gen Con is sold out of 4 day passes.

Let's split this into two parts, shall we?

1.  Shoot Headlock/RMS (that stop sign symbol with the fingers up and down) and damage modification.

To make it short, no.  RMS prevents ANY outside modifiers from  messing with the card.  No ability, no Tech Knowledge.
However, it does count towards the number of maneuvers played.  For Example, if Shoot Headlock was your first and you followed up with Double Axe Handle (tb), the Double Axe Handle would be the second and get +2 (or 4 if you have your feud out).

2.  +6d after Rabid Attack?
Again, no.  That text is for things like Big Splash, Superplex, and other things like that.  Basically, in addition to everything else, you can play a move a s if you played Throw into the Corner Turnbuckle.
Also think of it like this: is there a direct effect happening?  Nothing is saying to add 6 damage to a Strike or add 12 F to my opponwnt's reversal cost, so they don't apply.

... if you haven't already got your badge for Gen Con.

For the record, they have never threatened to cut off badge saless before, at least since they'very moved to Indianapolis.
Consider this another reminder for those who want to attend and compete in either Raw Deal Worlds or Supershow Worlds, get your badge NOW; it may not be available tomorrow.

General Chat / Re: Games to buy at Gen Con

After Origins ends, Board Game Geek usually puts up it's list of gaming's debuting at Gen Con.
This year was almost record turnover on it as that list is up.

Now, enjoy wasting hours on a sample of the new things coming out this year.

Professional Wrestling Discussion / R.I.P to the Big Cleveland Guy
« on: June 20, 2017, 09:33:45 AM »

As the link says, Chandler Biggins (Chris Bryan) passed away last night.
If you don't know who he was, he was one of the promoters of Absolute Intense Wrestling, the big promotion out of Cleveland, Ohio.

On a personal level, this one hurts a lot.  As a worker, I was lost and needed a place after my old school went on hiatus for a year.  It was Biggins who allowed me to become a part of the AIW family and to meet people who I now consider good friends, and if it wasn't for him I probably would have given up on the dream and be left without a direction.  Because of him, I kept going and have another family of big, sweaty men (and a few women) that I can go to with a lot of different things.
As a guy, he was always the life of the room.  Sure, he was out there with the conspiracy theories (We all know Werewolves are weak to silver, not just a knife), but he was always welcoming to everyone; even if you were not part of the direct AIW family.

To hear people start to say something last night at work, I just assumed it was a rib and was going to contact the big man when I got up.
Unfortunately, it wasn't.  Now, I'm at a loss; I fully expected him to come back and be the Biggins of old.  That can't happen now.

Clearly this has been a storyline, and for those that don't believe me, just look up AmDrag's twitter.  He said he'll address this controversial match on Smackdown.

Again, and I have to keep saying it, let's see where it goes before we all crap on it.

Raw Deal Online / Re: LackeyCCG.exe issue
« on: June 09, 2017, 05:27:53 PM »
The issue is that Bitdefender, the one I have, will auto-update the exemption list in the background.

Also, on the Lackey forums, this is becoming a problem and is being looked at.

Damn do I miss Linux, this stuff doesn't happen.

Raw Deal Online / LackeyCCG.exe issue
« on: June 09, 2017, 01:28:50 PM »
So this happened...

I was about to open LackeyCCG, and it opened... for all of 30 seconds.
Then the program shut down on it's own.

I go to use the shortcut on my taskbar, and it tells me the file is no longer there and the shortcut deleted itself (as it will in Windows 10).

I go to the actual .exe file (the core file to run the program), and it's no longer there.

I do a full system search for LackeyCCG, and nothing comes up.

Finally, I look at the log files of all of my background files to see if anything happened.

As it turns out, at least on the Anti-Virus program I use, LackeyCCG.exe is now being listed as a potentially harmful program and will not even let the file run.
So, I don't know if it's happened to you yet, but Lackey may not be usable as potentially harmful program definitions goes downstream from pay-users down to the free users.

It looks like someone on here thought the Raw Deal Worlds is what I was talking about before.

Silly Mortals, you thought wrong.  I didn't get the ticket for Worlds (to those who will be there, I'll explain there).  Keep guessing as to what's bigger than any Supershow Championship.

Already confirmed is the only man to hold both Supershow World Titles.
In addition, I have afforded myself the luxury of staying downtown.  That's what being a true champ can do.

As for events, I have my eyes on something even bigger than anything I have previously walked away with from Indianapolis.

Virtual Raw Deal / Re: 2017 Revisions Review
« on: June 01, 2017, 01:41:28 PM »

Starting Hand Size: 7     Superstar Value: 4
WCW Tag Team Superstar Ability:  Your non-Unique non-Revolution non-Throwback maneuvers with either 'suplex' or 'clothesline' in the title, and your cards with titles listed on Back to Basics are considered to have 'shoot' and 'technical' in the title for your non-reversal effects.
You cannot pack any Title Belts except the Tag Team Title Belts, and you cannot pack Back to Basics or Straight-Shootin' Interview.
Your Ability cannot be blanked.

Michigan Pride     (Steiner Brothers logo)
Your opponent cannot play reversals to this card.
Put up to 8 of your maneuvers in your Ringside or removed from the game into your Backstage Area, and shuffle cards from your Ringside into your Arsenal up to the number of maneuvers put into your Backstage Area.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     WCW logo

So quick question on the new Steiner Bros. ability with Michigan Pride (and please move this if needed).

As I no longer have a direct way to play maneuver from my Backstage Area (change in ability), are those up to 8 maneuvers I move now stuck in the Backstage with no way of using them anymore?
