Fantasy Cards / Re: Undertaker Remake Prize Card
« on: June 12, 2009, 10:53:07 PM »
It seems to me that this with Blindside Tornado Strike (I think that is the right name, the one that blows up reversals in your ring area) would be quickly approaching broken. Add in I Can't Be Reading This Right and this version of Undertake becomes near invulnerable after Wrestlemania kicks off. It wouldn't be so ridiculous if the ability only worked during his turn...

I agree with the good doctor, after thinking about the +2 handsize, what you can do with more old school prematch slots out weighs it considerably.
Maybe a +1 or +2 to damage for maneuvers played from under other cards.
Or ignoring the "discard 1 card" on Getting Some Old School Payback.

It just says put it into play, so I would assume it ignores the current capacity of your prematch.

Should The Perfect Drop Kick completely reverse a multi?

What happened to the The Power of the Warrior not being able to reversed by Sidewalk Slam?

This really doesn't have anything to do with the above, but my professor brought up a question that I'd never really given any thought to: Who currently owns the rights to the game system that Raw Deal operates under? Is it Comic Images, or Baron's family and Mike Foley? Anyone know?

Why would you be putting a card under your arsenal before you draw in the first place? I've never played a Back to Basics class before, so I'd imagine I'm missing something obvious, but could someone fill me in?

#587/643 Back to Basics (D) (RUMBLE PACK FOIL)

Pre-match Feud
You can only play Pre-match cards with the words "old school" in the title.
Your opponent cannot play the card titled Hell in a Cell Match.
Search your Arsenal for 1 of each of the cards titled Arm Bar, Arm Bar Takedown, Arm Drag, Atomic Drop, Belly to Back Suplex, Belly to Belly Suplex, Body Slam, Chop, Clothesline, Collar & Elbow Lockup, Drop Kick, Haymaker, Head Butt, Hip Toss, Press Slam, Punch, Roundhouse Punch, Russian Leg Sweep, Snap Mare, Vertical Suplex, Wrist Lock, Backhand Slap, Drop Toe Hold, Elbow Drop, Foot Stomp, and Hammerlock, reveal them to your opponent, and put them under this card. You may play these cards as if they were in your hand. He searches your Arsenal and Backlash deck. If he finds any non-Superstar-specific Maneuver cards, you lose the game via Pinfall Victory. Shuffle your Arsenal.

Virtual Raw Deal / A question for Creed
« on: December 11, 2008, 06:06:16 PM »
Creed,
First I want to say Rev 4 has turned out wonderfully, you are doing such a great job.

Now to my question, and this doesn't have anything to do with Rev 4, so feel free to move it if you want.
For a final in one of my college classes we have been tasked with creating a business proposal. I have decided, since Raw Deal has been on my mind for the past six months (thanks to you), that my proposal will center around a collectible card game. As part of the paper, we are tasked with providing real world cost analysis (development, production, promotion and distribution costs, etc. specifically for my proposal) from non-fictitious sources as a major component of the final project. I was wondering if you had the name and possibly contact info for the printing/manufacturing company that produced the cards for Raw Deal, or could help me with someone who would know that information.
Any help would be amazing, but regardless, everyone is sincerely grateful for what you have done to revive the game that we love, love enough for one of us to write a term paper inspired by it.

How does Kennedy's Cheap Shot work? Would you play it after damage has resolved or before? Would it be able to reverse after things like Clutch onto Opponent because the card is already successful, and you aren't truly reversing the card. I'm somewhat confused as to the minutiae of Raw Deal rules in this situation.

I was pretty uninterested by the Vickie card initially, but now that everything is together I get it, and am glad that it can help any smackdown superstar. I getting more and more excited. What wave number are the AA superstar specifics going to be in? I can't wait!

Backstage Card
Cannot be packed by The Ultimate Survivor.
Your Mattitude Adjustment does not have the SmackDown! logo and replace the "Strike or Grapple" text with "non-Unique".
Your non-hybrid Matt Hardy-specific Actions are considered Multi, and your Spinning Straight Elbow is a High Risk instead.

What is removing the Smackdown logo supposed to achieve?

Also, I still think Brock needs an enhanced ability.

Virtual Raw Deal / Re: Break This! Sable Card Concept
« on: August 10, 2008, 01:37:18 PM »
I don't know about the last idea. I mean, if only the player playing Sable was able to switch enforcers, you could justify making those cards unplayable for a period of time because they are making the choice to trade the ability to play those cards for a new ability that would be more adventitious at the time. But since there are cards that allow your opponent to switch your enforcer, it might lead to the dreaded negative play experiences. I don't know, it might all be equal in the end, but the Wildcat card seems more interesting if you can pack cards from all of the three enforcers, but not have to meet a criteria to play them.

You could let her pack cards on her enforcer or Brock Lesnar cards. They are married, after all.

As I recall, as soon as the money left, so did she.
She was clapping in the audience at the UFC last night after Brock won his match.

How about something like a Restricted Use in this Area that gets clutch onto opponent/apply? The cards that reverse it, other than foley, are not really worth packing for any other reason, so it would be nice to have something with utility that gets clutch.
