Most fun game I’ve ever played, hands down. Glad to support Supershow and hope others can as well!

You are 100% correct!

I believe they're both legal, but one is an older printing. Since you can only pack 2 skill requirements cards in a tournament legal deck, I would suggest you use the one that doesn't have the skill requirement on it :)

Thanks everyone and Vela for the prize support, had a great time. Scott you are a great opponent, lots of high level play and few mistakes. The matches I had against Vick in the top 4 was some of the best matches that day aside from my swiss match of AA vs Scott H which was easily my favorite match of the day that went right to time almost. Got to take a B2B's deck all the way to the top and picked up some Supershow as those guys are really putting on a hell of a show for their game was a great time.

Congrats Mitch! You really put together some great decks and it was a pleasure having those hour+ long matches with you. Best matches I've played in a very long time.

Do we have a headcount on who/how many plan to be at the ACMT this year?

I'm still in!

Jinder had to win the belt because WWE is pushing hard to get in with the people of India. Plus, him as champ makes it kind of old school with his "anti-America" angle just like Iron Shiek, Sgt. Slaughter, the Bolsheviks, and Muhammad Hassan to name a few.

I'm sure it will not be a long title run, but it's good to have change once in a while even if it is short.

General Chat / Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day
« on: April 24, 2017, 09:13:26 AM »
Hi all, I hope all is well and that your day is going great.

Today is the 102nd year since the Armenian Genocide occurred and it is a very significant day in the history of Armenians and to the World, as it was a precursor to the Jewish Holocaust. The film "The Promise" came out this weekend in theatres and it's a good way to get some facts of what happened, and it just so happens to be a good movie as well. I would highly recommend that you consider watching it (I've watched twice now, lol).

Thanks everyone and I hope you have a great rest of your day!

So far, this is pretty strong of an ability and those Finish cards are powerful for sure, especially the Submission one.
Way too easy to play his Finish cards repeatedly, and also being able to play those flipped Follow Up cards makes it near impossible for his opponent to stop them.

Basically it's a barrage of Follow Ups that are played when they're not even in your hand. I would recommend changing it from Follow Up to Leads only because they're almost guaranteed to go through.

The Submission Finish where you put it back on top of your deck if it's Stopped is too strong as it is. Maybe add a modifier like they have to "bury exactly 5 cards in your hand to place this card on top of your deck if opponent plays a Stop."

Congrats on getting fully funded with most stretch goals!
Looking forward to seeing the final product when it's ready!

2017 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal (pre-show)
Sami Zayn has this in the bag. He's been living the underdog storyline so this would solidify that.

Alexa Bliss (champion) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Natalya vs. Mickie James vs. Carmella vs. Naomi (WWE SmackDown Women's Championship, pre-show)
Hoping Bliss retains, but Natalya wins and continues fued with Nikki Bella after WM.

Neville (c) vs. Austin Aries (Cruiserweight Championship, pre-show)
Aries wins and could be most entertaining match of the night.

Luke Gallows (c) and Karl Anderson vs. Sheamus and Cesaro vs. Enzo and Cass (WWE Raw Tag Team Championships)
Gallows and Anderson win......via interference help from the Hardy Boyz.

John Cena and Nikki Bella vs. The Miz and Maryse
Miz/Maryse win and the crowd goes nuts, making the Miz into a faux-babyface. Maybe The Rock and a surprise female celebrity interfere? Let's see!

Bayley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax (WWE Raw Women's Championship)
Sasha wins and turns heel.

Chris Jericho (c) vs. Kevin Owens (WWE United States Championship)
My favorite matchup of the night, Owens wins via shenanigans.

Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Baron Corbin (WWE Intercontinental Championship)
I'm not expecting too much from this match, but Corbin should win.

Seth Rollins vs. Triple H
Most interesting match to me because either could win and the rivalry could still continue, somewhat. Guessing Rollins wins, but Trips beats the hell out of his knee with the help of the Cliq.

Shane McMahon vs. AJ Styles
AJ Styles has to win this, and I'm guessing it'll be a brutal fight. I know it's a regular match with no gimmicks, but I think the brutality takes place after the pin. I also wouldn't be surprised if Kurt Angle came out and interfered, starting a mini war with Styles.

The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns
Reigns probably wins, no ones happy.....but it doesn't matter what we think. Reigns is Cena 2.0.

Bray Wyatt (c) vs. Randy Orton (WWE Championship)
As much as I want Wyatt to win, I think Orton pulls this off.

Goldberg (c) vs. Brock Lesnar (WWE Universal Championship)
Lesnar should win, and hopefully this lasts longer than 5 minutes (that's what she said)

Supershow is VERY fun, easy to learn, and the Kickstarter is a great way to get in on the fun!
And if you're in SoCal, you should come and join us during our tournaments at the Wrestling Guy Store!

The SRG Universe site and the Velacards site are the only other ways to purchase specific characters and individual cards that I know of.

I really recommend you give the game a try, totally worth it!

That'd be great! I'll be there from April 30 - May 7 so if you all happen to play somewhere between, I'll definitely make sure to stop by!

Very true, though by this point, I'd say Vela belongs on that wall as well...  :)

Haven't missed an ACMT yet since moving back to California, don't intend to this year either!

I very much agree!

Will do everything I can to be there!

Adam is a true legend when it came to Raw Deal. His face would be on the Mount Rushmore on RD.

Thank you Velacards for continuing this great tourney!

I won't be able to make it on the 1st :(
The 2nd works better for me.

Will be there for the ACMT!

Adam Crites Memorial is still a thing...  Vick, Drew, and some other players is still a thing in SO Cal...

Nice to hear you're still around.

Keeping it fresh in SoCal!

How far in Hamilton from Oakville? I'm visiting family there in late April/early May and would stop by if you have any tourneys for Supershow around then if it's not too far!

No, we don't take sides in polls.  Also, this doesn't need the big letters just to garner votes.

Let's not get carried away with this, please and thank you everyone.

I think it already has gotten out of hand.  Trust me, I'm on the XCW and Supershow NZ groups on the big Book of Face, I see the shenanigans (and they're not even off-beat) that's being done on this.

Even outside of this, the fact that everyone is playing dirty with the competition and their individual factions and areas only frightens me as to how bad things can get come August.

Well that stinks, I had an awesome create-a-character and now I know I have no chance to win bc of potential shenanigans :(

The artwork for 3 very last minute Entries remain, and will be posted by tomorrow night! Good Luck to everyone who entered.

These are looking great! Can't wait to see the results, and Happy Thanksgiving!

First run at Prototypes for the Create a Competitor Competition are up!

This is exciting! Thanks Steve and SRG team!

Is anyone going to the tournament this Saturday (the 5th)?

I can't guarantee that I'll be there this Saturday  :(

Name: "Mr Armenia" Vick 'The Brick' Babikian

Once on each of your turns, you may bury one card in your hand to make your opponent randomly bury one card in their hand, or you may bury two cards in your hand to take one card from your discard pile and add it to your hand.

Size and Stature:
Has body type/shape of Brock Lesnar, but wears a luchador mask with the Armenia flag patched on the forehead.
Blue colored mask with silver lining, Armenia flag patch on forehead.
Red wrestling pants with orange lightning stripes on the sides. Black boots shin high length.
Has a black "Yerevan Eagle" tattoo on his right arm (image to be sent separately).
He is Armenian and has light stubble on his face.
He has light brown eyes and short brown hair.
Height: 6'4"
Weight: 260lbs.
Hometown: Yerevan, Armenia

Originally born in Armenia, he grew up wanting to be an Olympic Champion in Greco-Roman wrestling. But since he was undersized, he was constantly made fun of and didn't gain any respect from his opponents. His vision of winning Olympic gold was only a pipe dream, but he still loved wrestling. After years of struggling to make it to the top, he shifted his focus to the basic techniques of wrestling. Vick "The Brick" was always angry, was always being put down, and he got tired of being a nobody. After being picked on for years because of his skinny body, he started working out in the gym like a machine....5 hours a day, every single day. He went insane with this obsession of changing his physique...transfor ming himself from a skinny bum into a monstrous beast. He buried his old body and crafted his new body into a work of art. This is when Rock Newman saw him and instantly recognized that he had that special something, that unexplainable factor...he just had "it". His colossal stature mixed in with his athletic prowess now make his opponents cower in fear.

Competitor Skill:
Similar to Brock Lesnar where he is a powerhouse, but very agile and athletic. He now has impeccable technique and thunderous power through years of dedication in-and-out of the gym.
Power - 10
Technique - 9
Agility - 8
Strike - 6
Submission - 5
Grapple - 7

Strike - "Forget Me Not"
[Picture of character performing a Moonsault from the top of a cage onto his opponent]
+3 to Strike
+2 to Agility
+1 to Technique
Flip 3 cards, bury 2 cards from discard pile into your deck, and take 1 card from discard pile and add it to your hand.

Grapple - "Armenian Hammer"
[Picture of character performing the Rock Bottom]
+1 to Power
+1 to Grapple
If opponent is a male and it is your first turn of the game, this card is also a Lead.
If opponent is a female and it is not your first turn of the game, this card is also a Follow Up.
Opponent buries 3 cards from hand.

Submission - "Stay Away From Vick"
[Picture of character performing the Walls of Jericho]
+3 to Submission
When this card is in your discard pile and your opponent stops a Submission card, you may add this card to your hand.

Awesome! Very exciting and can't wait until our next tourney!

Also, think of it this way ... If you are the Champion, you may get thrown into a Triple Threat match where you have to defend the title. It may be a match that puts you in a Steel Cage event! Who knows. It's all supposed to increase the fun level and also play into the unpredictability that is Supershow!

Even better! Such a frickin' fun game.

Looking forward to it and hope many other SoCal players can make it.

Question on the Heavyweight Title Belt: how is it used in tourneys? Playable in all matches?

It will be used at various times. It is at the discretion of the GM (the one who runs the event) AND can be decided by the reigning Champion if he chooses to defend it within a certain match. Basically, it may not necessarily be done during a Finals match and can be used to spice things up. It gives players, even those who may never have a chance in a Finals match, a possible shot at winning the title.

It's a card not really meant to "own" like other cards, but to be used to help support the location and it's player base.

It's all for fun. So let's make sure we do that ... HAVE FUN!  ;D
