CRASHER, would you be willing to trade deck ideas? I played against a nasty volley deck once, but I've been trying to build a solid chain deck since that's the most comfortable play type for me.

Absolutely!!! I wish I had played more games with the chain build of him...it's REALLY good!

Would you mind sharing what your chain build had?

CRASHER, would you be willing to trade deck ideas? I played against a nasty volley deck once, but I've been trying to build a solid chain deck since that's the most comfortable play type for me.

1. How viable is this superstar?

I'd say very. I was beaten so badly by a volley version, I wanted to give up before the second game started.

2. Is there a Superstar Specific Card that you'd like to spotlight?

The Super Athlete
Mid-match Action / Reversal: Special
This card is -#F, where # is half of your opponent's Fortitude Rating, rounded down.
As an action, you may Promo: 2; when you have 10+ lower Fortitude, your next maneuver played this turn is F: 0, Chain, Multi, and can only be reversed by 2 reversal cards.
As a reversal, reverse any card that would move cards that are removed from the game or in any player's Ringside.
When this card is in your Ring, ignore the 'non-Superstar-specific' text on your Managed by The Ravishing Russian, Lana, and your Superstar-specific maneuvers are Chain when played.
F: 15    D: 0     Unique
VHS2

The fact that you not only get a nice boost when you're on the lower end of the match, but it also boosts Lana in such a very nice way that it could really help late game. Plus, making your superstar-specific maneuvers chain is amazing, to me at least.

3.  How have you built said superstar?  How did it work out?

I'm now in the process of building him on Lackey, so once I actually run him, we'll have to see how well I do

4. How well does the Superstar fare in whichever format you built them in be it VC/VAA/NXT/VR/Non-Virtual?

I've only ever played VC and NXT, but I think he would do fine in any formats

5. Final Thoughts on this Superstar?

I think he could be a big surprise to those who don't have an answer to his threat.

Fantasy Cards / Re: Premiere _______ Superstar

Premiere nWo Superstar
Pre-Match: Event
Cannot be packed when packing WCW, ECW, Raw, or Smackdown cards
Can only be played if you are an nWo Superstar or have an nWo card in your ring or Backstage Area, and your Superstar Value is 3 or greater.
Your opponents hand size is -#. # is equal to the number of nWo cards in your ring minus the number of Non-nWo cards in your ring, and unless your Superstar Value is 6 or greater, # cannot be greater than 3.
nWo Logo
Unique
F:0 D:0

Love it, except for one thing. Most nWo SS have a work around that change your WCW cards to nWo cards. So, to avoid confusion, I would just get rid of the WCW restriction to avoid any confusion.

Bad photo quality would totally be in character for SRW.

I couldn't agree more

Having played Arn (who, by the way, is slow, methodical, and an absolute beast), Tim's not wrong. Grab nearly every WCW card you can find, stuff in some reversals, and you're good to go. Double A gives him plenty of recovery power, his ability's great, you'll get card advantage from the forced discard off of WCW cards, and you'll want to remember to use Outsmarting the Competition liberally to continue scrambling their hand.

Other specific ideas: consider going Raw, for King Interferes, just in case you get an early Ready to Rumble. Have a backup plan for getting off the ground in case Halloween Havoc gets reversed (I went with Drawing a Blank, since several Buster/Breaker/Knee cards are blank, and Dirty Low Blow TB). Remember to tuck Divine Intervention and the Double A Spinebuster under the Allegiance when you play it, so you can't draw them. Then, as soon as you're ahead on fortitude, tuck the bottom card of your Arsenal under there, then use the text of One of the Big Boys to put Divine on the bottom of your deck. That leaves you 2 cards to trigger the ACE, and Divine in your Arsenal.

Oh, and Thrust Knee Lift can be quite awesome as long as Old School Cage Match doesn't show up (even if it does, the card's still good, just not as amazing.) It clears your opponent's Ringside in case they're a sponge deck, continually gives you more cards in Arsenal to help you survive, it gets -4F/+4D and triggers Double A and the Allegiance... just an all around amazing card for Arn.
Thanks man! This really helps me a lot.
I mean, what more of a starting point do you need than 'Your maneuvers with 'buster', 'breaker', and 'knee'  in the title are WCW, -4F and +4D.'?
And TimJR, I get your point, but I wasn't sure about how to round it out after adding everything.

Please don't errata Arn too much. I know its gonna happen. Im just glad that he's finally getting a card!

Arn was HEAVILY tested (least by me) I don't see much changing in him :)

Sweet! At least that takes a load of my mind as I get set to build him

General Discussion: Raw Deal / 'Taker's many "faces"
« on: March 13, 2017, 07:28:34 AM »
Since I'm still pretty new at building and playing, I wanted to ask a question that's been bothering me all weekend. when a superstar has multiple "face" cards, how do you decide who to play and how to play them?
The whole bases for my question is that I finally got a full Undertaker set over the weekend, and wasn't sure on how to build him or if there was a version of him that was better than the other. I'm currently thinking about building his Legend version, but was curious if that would be the best route to build the Undertaker as a potential tournament winner. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Deck Reviews - Virtual / Re: The Last Outlaw ideas
« on: March 13, 2017, 06:39:45 AM »
Mr.PeoplesTeam really helped me with TLO. I run There is No Escape as the feud and load up on "Classic" maneuvers. I can get you a deck list here shortly and it's worked well. Only thing I'm trying to figure out a way to pack is Duchess of Queensbury bc 9 times our of 10 if your opponent can take a CO victory they will.

would you be willing to share that list with myself? After a year, I was finally able to get a complete Undertaker set, and want to build his legend version. Ive ran "classic" decks before, but never a Classic Competitor deck. Any help would be great, since Im still kinda learning how to build and what works best with what, especially non-virtual stuff, as I have a limited amount of the original cards.

14
To add onto this before answering the questions: yes TTR was my VC worlds pick.  Beat Brock Lesnar (19 card starting hand), beat Stephanie McMahon x 2 (both times Steph copied TTR's SSA, as she was also a chain deck) and lost to Genetic Jackhammer, because he was ready for hand nuke.

Could you send me a message with tips on the build? Im building him now for a local tournament, but Im still pretty new to knowing the non virtual cards are and what I should look for to add. Thanks for the help!

« on: February 26, 2017, 09:50:08 PM »
As a newer player, I'd definitely be interested in this, especially since I don't know alot of the original printed cards and that is what has been missing from my builds. Like, when I ran Sting, every person told me I was missing No Escape, but since I don't have a good knowledge of what was printed, I had no idea how vastly it improved my deck.
In other words, I'd be down to watch and ask questions for deck tech videos

I was kinda hoping to play against Stardust, but guess it just wasnt in the draw. Running Sting, but I was hoping for a way better performance, but how else are you supposed to learn what works and what doesn't. I packed almost nothing but uniques, thanks to all the "classic"s, but I really needed a better defense than what I had.

R1- VS Great Khali- I lost. couldn't get any momentum going

R2 VS Big E- Lost. Same issues, but he shut me down early and his tricep meat nailed the coffin shut

R3 VS Ultimate Warrior- I won. actually good game for both of us. If I didn't have Stings Scorpion Deathdrop in hand, it would have been a different outcome. and thank God for "It's                 Showtime", allowing me to dish out his SS specifics early.

R4 VS Rusev- I lost. I did survive Dallas without removing anything, but Old School Cage Match didn't help against Rusev's volley heavy arsenal.

Virtual Raw Deal / Question about The Stinger
« on: January 10, 2017, 12:05:18 PM »
Quick question about The Stinger's SSV.
"When your 3D- card reverses from Arsenal, you may put that card into your Ring".
Is the "3D-" for any reversals that are 3D or less? I'm still learning and wanted to make sure I understood it right. Thanks!

Here's an rough update of what Im gonna work with. I didnt add Kidney Punches, only because alot of the players here run Old School Cage match, making Kidney Punches worthless. I'm also looking into what the name of the cards are called, but there are some old reversals that were -
"F:1 D:#
Where # was equal to damage of the maneuver reversed. Reverse any maneuver of 7D or less."
Those might be helpful too.
