Rules Forum / Re: The King's Throne
« on: July 13, 2019, 06:04:33 PM »
No, The King's Throne only gives you permission to play maneuvers from under it. As soon as you declare your intention to play a hybrid, its other types disappear, so King's Throne stops giving permission to play the card and the whole process crashes.

Sorry for not pasting further card text (on my phone): Since Leaping Knee is now blanked I can play it under The Throne and it's protected by Drawing a Blank, correct?

The King's Throne
Pre-match Object
Can only be packed by Triple H. Cannot be packed by Two-Man Power Trip.
Search your Arsenal for 2 maneuvers, reveal them, put them under this card, and shuffle.  When a card under this card is a Triple H-specific Maneuver, you may play it as if from hand.
Once during each of your turns, you may put 1 card from your hand under this card. When this card is moved from your Ring, put cards under it into your hand.
When this card is in your Ring, your Revolution Bow Before the Throne is now 'Reversal: non-unique Maneuver' instead; and your Leaping Knee to the Face is F: 0 and blank.

Triple H's Reverse Neck Breaker
Grapple / Reversal: Strike
As a maneuver, you may draw 1 card.
As a reversal, reverse any Strike maneuver and end your opponent's turn.

Can I play Triple H's Reverse Neckbreaker under The King's Throne as a reversal? (It's under King's Throne and IS a maneuver but I didn't know if that gave it clearance for the reversal portion)

Weren't First of All and Witte Retort made like years after their wins?

A Giant Shift in Power     (The Big Show logo)
Pre-match Storyline
Cannot be blanked.
New Ability: Your opponent's non-Unique maneuvers deal a maximum of 5D.  Your F:0 maneuvers are +3D.  When you play Big Show Splash as a Counter, you may ignore the 'Can only be played after...' text.

ECW Championship Belt (Throwback)
Choose one: Your maneuvers are +1D, or your opponent's maneuvers are -1D. When you are Rob Van Dam, Lashley, Revolution Tommy Dreamer, Jack Swagger or Christian, draw 1 card.

Does the damage modifier (reduction) of the belt happen before or after the effects of Big Show's card? Sorry if this is a silly question, just wanted to make sure.

Only this time you play as Misako and Kyoko, Kunio and Riki's girlfriends, as they set out to rescue their boyfriends.

All I can say to WayForward and Arc System Works is SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY.

I imported the physical collection for Switch from Play Asia and I've been having a blast.

Perhaps You Feeling Lucky? TB into a strike or Submission they won't see coming?

Also, Shoot Suplex as a starter is great for opening up Shoot Counter.

House that Hardcore Built could come in handy if you wanted to chuck a Table (Unique Strike) early (perhaps under That's Value!) and/or the dreaded Kitchen Sink. Some foreign object decks can struggle ramping in fortitude to get to sink range; Tazz shouldn't have this problem whatsoever.

Mid-match high-risks are also keen; if you're going Smackdown there's the obvious choice plus Suicide Plancha. I think any Tazz player should consider a Raw build for Raw & Ready since he cannot oversell. Raw also gives you Undermine the Competition, King Interferes, Twisted Smile to name a few. Raw & Ready lets you search for ANY card, which can be killer.

WWE Commentators is great for grabbing ANY action: Douchebag, Feeling Lucky TB, Ref Takes a Bump, Shoot Action, etc. If you wanted to get cute and your build is Heel perhaps consider Title Belt Clubberin' for some discard; nuke the hand, trash with suplexes. Vince GRA in the pre can help with a pesky Multi maneuver. Ego Boost is great to help keep the hand up against the dreaded chain deck; The "On One" Arena and it's support cards is also worth a look as is Backstage Shenanigans to possibly help buy you a turn.

Correct, you must reveal Numbers Game to become a Stable.

Hogtrail thought he could be a stable otherwise to which Daeva said "Neigh"

How do you mean? I mean I know they pulled Undertaker from his event but other than that I haven't really heard them taking shots at him. I'm just curious?

Two of his three podcasts co-hosts now have high-up jobs in the WWE (Bischoff and Prichard) and have both been hired in the time after he signed 'Taker for Starrcast, WWE is petty enough for this NOT to be coincidence .....on the other hand bringing EB back into the fold makes sense, he gets "Wrestling on Network TV" about better than anyone out there

Also the Tom Magee thing couldn't have been a coincidence.

This at least piques my attention enough that i might watch in the upcoming weeks, funny how they "don't see AEW as a threat" but yet they keep counter-programming it (Evolve show on the network this week), and now bring in some major creative changes.... competition is a good thing, I've had ZERO desire to barely delete Raw and SD from my DVR in the last year....so their plans are working off the bat....

They sure have taking a liking to jabbing Conrad Thompson every chance they get. Wouldn't be surprised if his podcasts with Bischoff and Prichard screech to a crawl.

No.  You gotta finish playing the Panic and the maneuver with it.  You either use the Commitment Ceremony before playing the Panic and the Maneuver with it or after fully resolving the Panic and the maneuver with it.

Understood, thank you sir.

From the OMNI

Panic Assault, Panic Grab, Panic Throw (rulings for all three)
<SNIP>
-The Panic Maneuver is played first, and that allows the player to reveal a Maneuver from hand and play it.

So what would happen is you trigger Commitment Ceremony, call Multi for your next move and when you try and play Panic, it's considered first.

I understand that; what I'm asking is can I play the Panic, THEN use Ceremony's effect to make the move after panic a multi?

Commitment Ceremony     (Billy & Chuck logo)
Backstage Card
Cannot be packed when packing Corners.
Your Billy & Chuck-specific Pre-match cards cannot be blanked and your Pre-match Capacity is +2.
Do not remove Heat cards from the game when your Superstar-specific actions move cards from Ringside.
Once during each of your turns, you may discard 1 maneuver and choose one: reveal cards from the top of your Arsenal until you reveal a maneuver, put that card in your hand, and shuffle; OR your next maneuver played this turn is Multi.
Unique     RMS logo

Panic Assault
Mid-Match Strike
Can only be played when your Fortitude Rating is less than your opponent's Fortitude Rating. Can only be played with a printed F:0 Grapple maneuver of printed 3D or less from your hand. He cannot play the card titled Over Sell Maneuver immediately after you play these cards.
Unless both maneuvers are reversed when played, both are considered successfully played and both go into your Ring area. Unless both cards are reversed, your turn continues.

On my turn I play Panic Assault; may I discard 1 maneuver for Commitment Ceremony to make the accompanying maneuver required for Panic Assault to become a Multi?

Goldust's Wig
Backstage Card
Search your Arsenal for any number of Goldust-specific cards, reveal them, and put them in your Backlash; they are now considered Mid-match cards until successfully played or reversed.
Your Goldust-specific actions cannot be reversed.
Ignore the 'Can only be played...' text on your Goldust-specific maneuvers, and when you have no BASH cards in your Ring, ignore the 'Set-up' text on Butt Bump.

Goldust's Running Senton
High Risk / Action / Reversal: Special
As a maneuver, this card is -4F, can only be played after a successfully played 5D+ maneuver, or when played from hand as a Counter, and can only be reversed from hand.
As an action, this card is -6F when played from hand; shuffle this card into your Arsenal and your opponent discards 1 card.
As a reversal, when played from hand, reverse any card that moves a card from his Ringside.

I Walk Alone
Backstage Card
When packing this card, you cannot pack Corners, Factions, Guest Ringside Announcers, or Managers, but you can pack Mixed Martial Arts Specialist.
Your first Batista-specific action played each turn cannot be reversed; when it is reversed, your turn does not end. When your Fortitude Rating is 5-, it is considered to be 0 for your card effects. Do not discard for your maneuvers with 'spine' in the title.
When your opponent completely reverses your maneuver without 'reversed' in the text from hand, and you have lower Fortitude or fewer cards in hand, he puts 1 random card from his hand on the bottom of his Arsenal.

You really shouldn't be, because Stash doesn't say that it copies Stun or traits. It copies what it says it copies, and Stun is none of those things.

I don't know where I would draw that conclusion from.

Sandman's Singapore Stash
Backstage Card
Can only be packed by Sandman.
Twice during each of your turns, you may discard 1 card and then play 1 card from your hand face-down; while played, it is considered to have the same card type, text, title and Damage as a maneuver in your Backstage Area.
Your face-down cards are considered to be titled Struck by a Kendo Stick instead and are Foreign Objects.

If you pack the non-throwback Kendo in your backstage is the stun value copied also or no?

No, it does not have the Stun.

I'm stunned that it does not have the stun.

General Discussion: Raw Deal / Emma?! Help?
« on: June 10, 2019, 07:06:48 AM »
My thing is building decks that are unorthodox and/or don't have 1 clear build path.

Looking at Emma at the moment and man, everything I feel like I want to do in her pre-match is just cramped for space.

Any suggestions? Currently I'm using The Era of the Superstar, NXT Arrival, Full Sail, Corey Graves and Evening Up The Odds. Plan is to get All About Me/Real Emma out ASAP obviously and to spam Emma's Amazing Dance Moves as often as possible. I feel like I should go face but heel is obviously an option; either way I feel like I run out of pre-match space for it to even matter.

Cannot be packed when packing other Title Belts.
Other card effects cannot alter your Superstar Value.
Before the Draw Segment of the first turn of the game, put up to # cards from your hand on the bottom of your Arsenal and draw the same number of cards, where # is your Superstar Value.

Does this card prevent my superstar value from changing via an Enforcer card if I am a superstar that can pack Enforcers?
