I’d add Dirty Taker, since his reversal can search for it. I personally ran Back Body Drops and 3 set-ups in my No Way Out decks, that way it always kept 6 cards in my arsenal (with Thrust Knee Lift). Man, this decks reminds me of the Classic days.

Re Judo Chokes - maybe use The Games ability to put them on top of arsenal then use a turning The Match Upside Down?

I don't believe Test can pack Too Dynamic to Hold Down.

Why not?

Virtual Deck Reviews / Back to Basics Dolph Ziggler
« on: May 20, 2020, 10:45:43 AM »
Back 2 Basics Ziggler

Pre-match – Play them all

McMahonsim – Each of Dolph’s moves have printed stun, and each B2B move can add stun with Showoff. I can either draw cards for stun or recover cards with Dolph’s ability, depending on game state.
Dubuque – Dolph recovers actions and moves nicely, Dubuque is used to recover reversals.
B2B – Packing 13 moves under it.
Old School Cage Match – I prefer this over OSWM. Can be equally disruptive, plus give +3 prematch slots.
Old School Manager – Free slot, can be flipped with Record Scratch.
Old School Psych x3 – The key to destroying opponents hand.
Old School Antics x2 – Free slots, they only recover 1, but can be flipped with Record Scratch.
Old School Belt – If it sees play, it’s the key to getting on board.
Old School Donnybrook - Wrecks any hand set up. Keep an Oversell.

Sustained Damage – Great when combo’ed with Oversell and Stealing the Show.
Don’t Cross a McMahon – Backlash deck action reversal often catches opponents off-guard.
Teaser Mode – Can search for Face the Music or Feeling Lucky (or opponent can RTV it if they want to discard 3) Makes Face the Music playable at 0F too.
Number One Contender – A lot of belts in virtual. Search for any card can be amazing. Late game, can grab Dolph’s Leaping DDT that reverses ANY card for 10D.
King Interferes – Dolphs specifics are not Smackdown, so this deck is technically Raw branded.

Arsenal Notes
I’m not packing Elbow to the Face because I want to oversell everything I can so opponent has to discard more (1 for each oversell in ring). Willing to take suggestions on other holes you may see, this is first draft.

Destroy the opponent’s hand ASAP. 3x Ring Psych limits their mid-match options, but once you have 2-3 Oversell in ring, basically your moves become chain, where the opponent MUST discard cards to play reversals from hand or backlash. Build your hand by drawing stun and stacking what you draw with McMahonism.

Known Weaknesses
Heat decks (headstrong and action reversals from ringside)
Managed by Vince/Bitter Rivals (or other cards that get rid of the belt)

I really enjoy this deck in the 3 games I've played. Not sure how much fun it is for opponent once their hand is gone though…

Old School Wrestling Match - Throwback
Pre-match Stipulation
Cannot be packed while packing any other stipulations.
If any player's turn ends after his Draw Segment without attempting to play a maneuver and he does not have the card titled Old School Cage Match in his ring area: Promo: 4.
Turns cannot be skipped and non-Superstar-specific cards cannot prevent an opponent from playing maneuvers.
Each turn, before your draw segment, if you do not have the card titled Back to Basics in your ring your opponent may remove 1 card in your ringside from the game.
When Back to Basics is in your Ring and you are not The Home Team you may shuffle up to 2 non-reversal cards from your ringside into your arsenal each time you successfully play a maneuver and your Pre-Match Capacity is +3. Your opponent cannot play I'm Gonna Break You.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Permanent     RMS logo

That's quite a few are my knee-jerk reactions without hearing reasons as you why you suggested these changes:
1) If I'm playing OSWM TB, it's probably because I'm an aggro deck. Chain moves make good aggro decks, but this card would essentially allow the opponent to build their hand back up when they promo. I'm not sure I'd want to play this version of OSWM TB offensively if I'm allowing my opponent to promo. I'd certainly not play it against decks that get perks when promo'ing (Balor, Emma, New Day?). Decks I just mentioned could play this and get big boosts.

I was going to comment on the RFG component, but after reading the text for the THIRD time, I realized I had read it wrong. I like that there's a slight drawback (opp. being able to RFG one of your cards) but again, comboing this with letting your opponent promo and I'm still not thinking I'd play this card by choice.

Again, knee-jerk reaction/thoughts here.

Superstar guide is the correct answer. Image will be updated to reflect this come revisions.

Woah den cornette is even lousier den he already is.
Not perm, can flip, can blank & such a big cost to ace when he has no drawing power🤔.
An ability tat contradicts itself for goin chain & nthin to negate oswm tb🤔. Guess going heat stall is probably the only viable way & just concede when yr opponent plays oswm tb👍

Or choose Midnight Express and don’t worry about any of that. Options, my friend.

Team Hell No has been discussed on Discord as being rather weak. They’re not an active team, but there aren’t many active wrestler names being posted right now, so throwing their name in the hat.

He cannot pack A Dynasty’s Destiny because his logo isn’t on the card. He can run Vince Interferes and Backed By Stephanie McMahon, just like anyone else.

Thanks for the clarification. I love that Study the Tapes got a throwback. There was a time when it and Superior Training were in every deck I built.

I still play Study the Tapes OG quite often. Love that hand knowledge.

So "forever" will be an NXT guy, I guess. Had the hope for Ruby Riott. A set build around the Riott Squad could be badass. But, maybe in the future.  ;)

Just in time for Liv Morgan to get a makeover...just can't win in Raw Deal lol

I'm a fan of the Then, Now, Forever theme. There's a pretty big divide between wanting older wrestlers (nostalgia) and current guys (despite Raw and SD being terrrrrrrible shows) with both sides showing equal passion and support. This is a way to suit everyone.

Rules Forum / Re: Handful of rules questions
« on: November 23, 2019, 05:36:12 AM »
Q2: Your opponent can use reversals on your turn. So if you ACE Vince to play a move or action, he can reverse it and end your turn. If you ACE it to play a reversal on your opponents turn, he cannot play reversals to it.

Q4: My Sacrifice takes up a slot, but gives you two additional slots, so if you play it as your last prematch, you can play two more cards. (If you’re playing with 5 slots, 5+2 = 7 prematch).

Q5: Pre the FAQ:
Edge’s Spear (Throwback)
-This will reverse a card played after any other Set-up besides Irish Whip, but will not reverse the Set-up itself, unless it was played after another Set-up card.  EXAMPLE:  Edge’s Spear would reverse a maneuver played after Chain Wrestling, but not the Chain Wrestling itself.

Q6: If Plan B has the word “Must” then your assumptions are correct. If not, complete the text to the best of your ability.

Q7: Road to Victory blanks until the end of turn.

Q8: If Divine says completely, then it completely reverses.

Hope that fills in the blanks.

Didn’t realize Hot Tag was Face! I’ve never played with these tag cards, so just learning them myself.

Virtual Deck Reviews / Re: The LOL-vival
« on: November 14, 2019, 08:16:36 AM »
Why no Hot Tag? They reverse any maneuver on overturn, in my opinion, more powerful than Divine, cause they don't RGF themselves.

Why do you pack Blindside Takedown if you don't play moves without reversal restrictions? Sure it reduces Jive Soul by 3F (another card I'm not a huge fan of), but are there other Cheater cards I missed?

I'm just finalizing my Revival deck, excited to see how it does!

Virtual Raw Deal / Re: Virtual 10: Breaking Ground
« on: November 04, 2019, 01:22:16 PM »
I'd run San Diego with them, most people will be forced to discard less powerful prematch (likely ones that aren't permanent too!) so they have much less options to flip 1 card to reverse Revival's Blindsides each turn. Clink Me can pick up 3 Ready To Fights as soon as turn 2 if you're lucky enough and really want them. I'd also run Rules Were Meant to Be Broken with them, and really focus on triggering #FTR so they can't reverse from hand.

Ya, I definitely disagree with Wolfpacs first three answers. Let's wait for Daeva to chime in for official ruling.

Also, we'll likely include these 4 questions in a Virtual 10 FAQ we'll be working on shortly.

Can you pack My Side with ECW belt?

I always pack Outta Nowhere and Missed Your Chance in Virtual. I’d drop I Stand Alone and a Maintain Hold for them. Calvary would be a good addition too, as Keith mentioned.

I'm not being funny but have you guys actually thought gargano through. He has access to so much support. A volley call could see almost his entire ringside being shuffled in. Not to mention backed by candice. If you can reverse any card I dont think you need to be able to shuffle in like between 0 and 50 aswell.

This superstar is a joke lads. Might as well of just gave him the ability of shuffle his ringside into arsenal every turn. Need to add something like cannot pack chain, heat or volley cards to balance him out.

Your last paragraph screams #spoilershock so here are some playtesting notes:
Every non unique move he plays gets hit by Douchebag. If he makes moves Chain, his opponent can play restricted use (from the +1D on Chain Reaction) to avoid further restrictions, RE: Volley Call, it’s a non unique action, easiest card type in the game to reverse AND you can just use the Volley trait to reverse it. RE: Candice, ya, it’s a great card, but if you overturn it as a reversal, you get 0 recovery.

I have a question about I'm Gonna Teach You a Lesson in Thuganomics.

Does the opponent having to discard stay on the whole game or is it just for the turn? Thanks!

The discard happens only when the card is played and it only resolves once.

Rules Forum / Re: Proxies for Worlds 2020
« on: August 28, 2019, 10:15:06 AM »
With regards to TB: it has to be what’s printed on the card.

Sometimes (like in Niiicks and my Ascension deck) we WANT to run the TB Dynamic Finisher because it has no stun. PLM proxies have been floating around for years, so copies are available, but if you print and play the TB one in a tournament, you should have to abide by the cards text on the card you’re playing.

Rules Forum / Re: Piper's Legendary Presence and mid-match capacity

Piper's Legendary Presence
Backstage Card
When packing this card, you cannot pack Corners, and your Legendary Management, Through All Of These Years and Kickin' It Old School are Rowdy Roddy Piper-specific and can be packed in your Backlash, in addition to your other Backlash cards. Kickin' It Old School cards in your Backlash are played as Mid-match cards.
You are not considered a Legend for your opponent's effects, your maneuvers are considered to have 'sleeper' in the title, and your Superstar-specific actions are Multi and can only be reversed by 2 D: 0 reversals.
When you overturn a maneuver for Hot Rod, put all other cards overturned for that card on the bottom of your Arsenal.
Unique     RMS logo

Does the bold text mean that i can pack them besides the max 12 pre-match cards? If not, does Kickin' it old school count as been packed as a mid-match or pre-match?

You bolded a little too much in the question and missed the answer. They're packed in addition to the 24 cards, and therefore, type does not need to be specified for Kickin' It Old School

Virtual Deck Reviews / Re: Becky Lynch: The Coronation of the Man
« on: July 31, 2019, 05:16:34 AM »
Also, with Precision Kick, they won’t be recovering 5 because you’ll have 10F and if they don’t have a reversal in hand, they have to take the entire 6D. Follow that up with a precision sleeper for another 6 they can’t reverse from hand...absolutely no drawbacks and you recover 4. Why they are so good with Becky is that if you have lower fortitude, they are considered unique and cannot be reversed by Raw a Deal Revolution, It’s Great to be Back Here, Don’t be a Douchebag, or Carlito Says...

Tough situation, but that’s what random deck checks are for.

I agree with you, one game loss. There’s no real way to tell if it was intentional, but I’d put an asterisk by his name for a year (as well as any other player with illegal deck) to have to have a judge review their deck before an event starts.

Classic Raw Deal / Re: Best and worst world champion cards
« on: July 12, 2019, 04:13:06 PM »
I’ve never packed Allentown or Don’t Be That Guy, so guess they’re the worst?

Douchebag, Outta Nowhere, and Frankie are mist packs in my Virtual decks.

It’s funny, when Frankie was released, it was pretty weak, now it’s very popular. The reverse seems to be true with others like Road To Victory and FTLOTG, which are rarely packed in my decks these days.

I love Blindside Tornado Strike in her to clear up mid-match space from Skirts/Lady to Mess With. She's got a redwall Backlash deck, which opens up some opportunities for more unique offense with either moves or actions in my opinion.
