I haven't really tried OCTGN (I should) ....but that kind of free time just hasn't been around much of late ....maybe it will be better now with half the free world shutting down....but people will still be idiots on their computers

I'd love to make the effort again if others are interested

Virtual Deck Reviews / Re: Razor Ramon - BASH

The problem with No Escape against his reversals isn't its reversal restriction, but the fact that most of his reversals hit non-uniques and there usually are minimal non-uniques in a No Escape deck.

He's got the Revo's the Managers, the Rakes and the BASH reversal (which he can cycle since he plays bash moves.....I think he's kinda ok there)

all he needs add is making your escape and he's fine for no escape :)

I find classic knee to the groin is a nice transition move, but tb German is better

BASH you till five and calvary might be better recovery options (though Candice give you more....but Hell Cell..... again....make your escape!)

Backlash over turning things upside down is an interesting choice.....

If the final set was released in Dec 2007, I'm sure it found its way into 2008, and if I remember right, qualifier winners still got wrestlemania 2008 tickets but nothing else

Introduced in 2000, Raw Deal is an out-of-print collectible card game published by Comic Images and licensed from World Wrestling Entertainment.[1] It was released in August 2000.[2] It was designed to replicate the action of a professional wrestling match. The game was designed by Michael Foley and Barron Vangor Toth. On November 14, 2007, Comic Images released a Press Release stating that they had lost the WWE License due to declining sales.[3] The game ceased production in December 2007.

So the answer is about 7 years and two months, since the last year was probably all revo and post $$3 I'm sure that when the finances started to drop on it

Is the card from hand? Yep
Is the card a maneuver? Yep

it's all good, being part action doesn't take away from it being a move still

just like See How it Feels tb can't be reversed by you're a jive soul bro, since it's still a maneuver

Virtual Raw Deal / Raw Deal's 20th anniversary!!!
« on: March 01, 2020, 05:58:33 PM »
Its CRAZY to think this game has been along this long isn't it??? (damn)

and I know there's an event planned for the actual date of the anniversary....but it does seem fitting to celebrate it ....back where it all began..... Gen Con this year!
Anyone thinking of going? Any events, ideas you'd like to see? I know we'll have better prize support lined up this year (we even have the promo card ready!)

If you're coming and have thoughts and suggestions.... PLEASE speak up.... I'd love to see this be a big one this year and all input is most welcome!

RMS cards can not be flipped because that would be modifying the card. Similar logic as to why permanent cards can't be flipped since it would mess with the permanent trait as well

No, they have different titles, you can pack throwbacks like tb Backhand Slap

Luck of the draw and learn how to fight with Finlay are the non-specifics you'll want (I built him last month and can vouch for this)

No, there are no "turns" in the pre-match phase, card was specifically worded that way so you had to actually play a card during the game to get the perk :)

(from a design side if we were going to let playing the pre reveal it, it would have been easier to have it revealed all along)

Welcome (back) to Raw Deal / Re: Crowdsourcing Virtual Starter Decks
« on: January 09, 2020, 10:16:21 AM »
I would think an Educated Feet AJ Styles deck would be a good one as well, since he's a big name and people like him, his ability meshes well with it and he can throw the kicks from ringside as well (I had built one for the 11 year old, but they're not ready for Raw Deal yet)

A BASH APA deck is pretty straightforward too, throw moves, do lots of damage and kick ass!

With the amount of quality proxies we have at our disposal now, it should be pretty simple to get those Elbows/Return BASH'es/etc into a simple starter pack and focus more on "what does this card do" over "how the hell do I find THAT card?"

Lex is OK
I'd be VERY careful about upping the total page's power, that ability could be super easily used and abused like crazy

I had drawing issues with them, they never were able to get good hands, least in my efforts

As the guy who ran the Road Warriors....a LOT at Gen Con....I agree on the LoD, they should be in consideration

the Revival definitely needs some....reviving... ...

Heat is due some love too I believe

Santino is actually a LOT of fun as I remember him since he got the new ability

OSWM tb was maybe the first thing on our revisions list, so your hopes are likely there :)

Trish got a pretty big boost with the Mid-Match reversal didn't she? And It's hardly the only one who gets slowed by reach/grasp, it's more an annoyance to play through over an "oh crap my game is lost" , especially if she hits her DDT early

Seems a lot of the WWF guys are on this list, eh?
Bam Bam would qualify
Yoko needs some updating
And I felt the same about Honky Tonk Man ....I look at his cards and I wanted to try him....but he doesn't seem to bring much to the table, even with heel cheater being the preferred choice....he's still....eh

I need to look deeper but my first thought is honky

This will act similar to how Little She Devil resolves. When it's successful you choose which effect you're using and it will resolve to the appropriate area.

Everyone Wants to Watch Women Wrestle
Action
Can only be packed by a Female Superstar.
When your opponent is a Male Superstar, search his Arsenal for 3 non-unique Maneuver cards, remove them from the game, and he shuffles his Arsenal.
When your opponent is a Female Superstar, this card is -1F, discard this card and your opponent discards 1 card.

F: 1 D: 0

My concern is that, since intent doesn't have to be declared until it is successfully played, can you play it at 0F but use the first effect instead?

Since this card, and it's Smackdown variant, both have differing costs, you will have to announce which effect you are intending on using when played. This will be important for some reversals that look for Fortitude costs of a card.

Wait...I'm not so sure about that....when you play little she devil you don't choose the effect until it's successful.... potentiality rule and all

I was all interested in seeing Knives Out.... but I can not give that lil weasley prick director any money after he walked all over Star Wars two years ago...it's just damned principle :)

Making it two movies would have also in essence wiped Episode 8 from existence.... I'd happily use two movie pass outings on that :D

I kinda wish this had been split into two movies ....it had sooo much to cover (if this has been 8 and 9, it would have been much better), it's a shame this movie had to spend so much time cleaning up the mess of the Last Jedi....but damn somehow it did manage to pull this off, I was ok with Palpatine coming back (but I love Ian McDermond in that role and will mark out for that EVERY time)....it was great to see the cast united and working together too.....lots of fun there, and I'm glad that I never need see the Last Jedi again  ....you can watch 7 and 9 and pretty much get the gist of it all, but I did very much enjoy this movie and I'd see it again, it's sad that it took three movies to give us some sort of back story to our lead characters .....and lots of emotional stuff in this one, if you liked Star Wars....go see it .....if you liked the Last Jedi..... go see Knives Out :p

and I'm glad JJ went out of his way to fix some of the massive damage the last movie did :)

Are we going to get a "Sami Callahan, Joey Ryan, or... Luchasaurus?" Enforcer?

 ;)

He actually likes lucha-saurus and the other two ain't wrestlers anyway :)

All of the people on his enforcers are either in the hall of fame, or belong there
