Back when I was riding my T-rex to the local card cave this combo used to stop needed prematch cards. We used to have a counter for this combo but I cant remember it. Thoughts?

When you thought you had all the answers...
VKM's
The King Interferes (10d+)
Sustained Damage = Elbow from the arsenal
Outside interference
No Sell

Welcome (back) to Raw Deal / New Rules resources
« on: September 28, 2017, 11:17:49 AM »
I have been teaching my friends the game. They only have access to Mania era rule books I have given them. The rules resource page we have is linked to dead pages. Any way we can get some glorious angelic hero tomake a new rules resource page that we can link to for new players?

I have questions myself regarding:
1. How and the crap are people playing all 10 of there prematch in Eric Raw Deals excellent you tube tournament series...
2. Heat lets you play cards from the ringside pile but i forget how.
3. With Volley they can remove cards to reverse mine?

As always this community is awesome. I'm back in Norcal now I was never able to find players in CO the whole time I was there. Anyone play up near Sac or above? I might even be willing to go to some of the shops in southern Oregon and bring a friend or two with me. Holla at your boy if you can help in either regard.

Rules Forum / Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers...
« on: September 28, 2017, 11:04:13 AM »
 <<<looks like a Trump emoji.

"Your opponent’s cards with the Restricted Modification Symbol do not have it.

During his turn, his Action cards and Maneuver cards with the word “reverse” in the text have blank text."

His action and maneuver cards refers to opponent and not Piper correct?

As I remember this came into effect for cards like Beating the Odds and backslide. Awhile back some people suggested that Piper was super broke in the Classic era pre Virtual. Honestly I do not remember him being as good as Goldberg, Road Dogg or Flair for example.

Can some one also explain specifically what made him so busted? Looking back even at some decks that have been posted I legit don't see it. The shoot deck seems cool but that shoot suite of cards could be used with anyone, I my self used to use a shoot suite in 3min warning.

Kind of a rules plus can an old Piper player explain to me and a friend why he is supposedly broken question :)

Rules Forum / Not according to the fine print...
« on: May 20, 2017, 06:39:25 PM »
reads:Reverse any card that reads “cannot be reversed” in the card text or that has been modified so that it cannot be reversed...

Will this work on a pump kick even if it is not the first turn? What about Running Lariat?

Similarly: Hold on! It's  not time to show yet!: Can only be played if it is before your Draw Segment on the first turn of the game AND if your opponent has the card titled It’s Showtime! in his Ring area.

If your opponent’s hand size is greater than your hand size, draw up to 3 cards. On your opponent’s next turn, he cannot play any non-maneuver cards with the words “cannot be reversed” in the text.

So I cannot play beating the odds or running lariat under this condition?

Thanks guys ahead of time for clarification.

General Discussion: Raw Deal / Makind dream.
« on: May 14, 2017, 02:15:04 PM »
Had a weird dream where I was showing Mankind(Mick Foley) my raw deal cards and we were talking about what superstars I used to play back in the day. We were talking about how Eddie died and he said he spoke at his funeral. I asked him about an old friend and he said he was still alive but in the hospital. His Raw Deal cards were all beat and he kept getting distracted by old magic the gathering cards.

Thought I would share my weird dream here.

General Discussion: Raw Deal / Superstars that I prefers and why.
« on: May 11, 2017, 02:52:03 PM »
They must meet this criteria:

Hand size of 6 or more.
Useful ability
Mid match reversals and or maneuvers preferably of 0f.
2+ unique prematch
Unique red cards
draw effects
"I win" cards "when this is in play....blah ....blah".

I find that these are the components that make strong superstars, you don't always win but usually give up a good fight.

Thoughts on people that meet the criteria?

Welcome (back) to Raw Deal / Gamestate, Prematch and Brokeness
« on: May 05, 2017, 05:08:23 AM »
I feel like the game is fairly balanced overall(Not counting Revo which is FUBAR IMO). I know there are strong cards and some fairly hard counters but i feel like this is enough counter meta to keep this game interesting for some time. It does not even bother me that they do not make cards anymore officially because there are many good car5d games with a fixed base.

One thing that concerns me is the pre-match phase. We never had venues or objects and I do not know how to even play with those. Seems like it has made the games super long where it used to be fairly fast. I have been watching some past tournaments(props to you guys posting them on you tube) and its seems way long before the game even starts now.

Can some one break down how to play these new(to me) cards?

Title pretty much says it. I'm curious to see what decks have done well over the last couple years. I have seen a few deck being played on ole you tube.

Welcome (back) to Raw Deal / Tier list for returning nubs like me.
« on: April 24, 2017, 11:59:39 PM »
Here is my thoghts on a tier list.(classic)
Open to input. Probably flawed.

Tier1

HHH massive hand size and card base.
LAISE ability and card base are sick.
Rick Flair abilty is dumb but hand size might make him tier 2.
Jericho ability handsize and cardbase are all strong.
Kurt Angle cardebase is legit.
Al Snow. Cards suck but abilty is breaking and can get massive handsize. Will almost always Showtime. Can no sell with out discard. Imo the best.
Andre. Uber.
Road Dogg. Second best imo. Red wall + ability. Carbase small but STRONG. This characters seems to easy.
Matt. Op ability good cards. Good handsize.
Eddie. Close to the top. Ultimo op. Good cards. Great ability. Good handsize. If you dont have sidewalk slam you are likely dead after a pump kick.
Kane. Lol. Control you bad.  Versitile. Tori. Brothers. Strong reversalz. So many reversals. To bad dude worships the devil or some crap. A good Kane player will go to time or kill you everygame.
Peoples Team. Small but good card base. Good numbers better ability. Strong against Revo of the Mind.

Tier 2

Booker T good hand good ability good card base. Strike dependant. Like the reverse od Road Dogg. Abilty not as good.
Big Show. No sell. Big hand. Great cards. Not Laise.
Hogan. Tb. No sell. Ok cards. Good superstar ability and value.
Lita. So good. Good ability. Good hand size. Great if small finishers. Strike dependant.
Shawn Mikhail Gorbachev. In Soviet Russian Sean has better recursion and more cards then you. Fun.
Rocky. Brahma. Good cards. Needs to be face.
Goooooolllldbeeerg. Strong ability if built right. If he loses hand he loses.
Tazz suffers from no oversell.  Can hit you with big moves from jump.
Regal. Is surprisingly regal. Besmirched really strong imo. Can go sub, strike or both.
Rvd. Imo underestimated. Probably better smackdown. Strike reversals hurt.
Tajiri. Will kick you HARD. One dimensional. Sub and punch sub optimal.
Edge. Good cards and hand.

Tier 3
E and C. Fun but not as strong as edge. Lower hand aize intoally but will quickly outscale you if they can get fortitude. If. Think you know me?
Rtc. Less relevant than in times past. 0 for 7 reversal from midmatch will make you feel dumb after they censor you.
Hardboyz. Just average. Jeff or matt are better.
Dudely boyz. Better than the hardyz but their abilty should be onc per turn...restricted use is needed agianst them.
Dvon. Good abilty. Limited cardbase.
Goldust. Ok ability. Jericho better in almost everyway. Limitedcard base that restricts you to a brand. Funny to resolve samoan drops neck breaker and spinning hill kick on people.
Hogan. Strike restricted. No sell. Big hand. Big star value. Belts make stupid.
Hurricane. Small hand. Great abilty and cards. Prone to prematch wreckage. Inconsistent. If gets going you're done.
Trish. Bulldogs better than anyone including Jericho. Grapple restricted.
Christian. Shades are so good. Small hand.
3min Warning. Small hand. Amazing ability. Unique. Cand be disrupted. If they get a foothold that cannot be defeated. Likely will not get a foothold.

Tier 4

Jamie. Meh. Cards and numbers meh.
Spike. No hand. Can and will kill you if game goes long enough for him to out pace you.
Xpac. See above. Tori is really strong imo. Problem with Superstars with no hand us the lack consistency. Susceptible to prematch disruptions.

Did not include everyone. Id like to hear your guys thoughts.
