Man no one even did a predictions thread!

I almost feel sorry for that!

Can I say spoilers yet?

How much more space do I need?

Is this good enough?

Holy heck, Jinder Mahal! I'm actually excited for the dude. Good for him, even if he might just be a transitional champ.

Well, that was certainly interesting.

But, my homeboy is back! The #1 reason I'm okay with Roman Look Strong winning tonight, because The Future is gonna come down on him like a ton of bricks.

Jericho took a thumbtack bump NO ONE should be taking!

Miz continues to be relevant (and I like that, sorry Miz haters)!

Howdy there TCO folks! While GenCon may be some months in the future, with Pre-Reg opening up this week (and the dreaded hotel lottery/hunger games), I thought I'd poke my head over here to see if any TCO folks were possibly looking to split a hotel room this year.

I actually get to attend this year instead of working a booth! Should be interesting.

Seriously. This is a hilarously bad photo of the guy.

Professional Wrestling Discussion / Night of Champions Predictions
« on: September 19, 2015, 06:45:03 AM »
So here's the matches that are to be featured at NoC (or on the PreShow) tomorrow:

Neville and The Lucha Dragons vs. The Cosmic Wasteland
Seth Rollins vs. Sting
Seth Rollins vs. John Cena
Ryback vs. Kevin Owens
Nikki Bella vs. Charlotte
Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Mystery Partner vs. The Wyatt Family
Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev
The New Day vs. The Dudley Boyz

I thought it might be fun to share my predictions and others can share their's.

Neville and The Lucha Dragons beat The Cosmic Wasteland:
It's the pre-show, the faces win to get the crowd excited for the rest of the show.

Rusev beats Dolph Ziggler
And hopefully it's the end of this dumb feud, or else we all lose.

The New Day beat The Dudley Boyz
Either through DQ (because the Dudleyz put someone through a table), or shenanigans. Dudleyz -will- pick up the belts again, just not tomorrow.

The Wyatt Family beat Roman, Dean, and The Mystery Wrestler
Braun will continue to be built as a strong threat, so the Wyatts are going over unless that mystery partner is someone who needs a strong debut (but I worry it'll just be Randy or Cesaro).

Charlotte beats Nikki Bella
Because now she really deserves it after the screwjob, and Nikki has been proven not to be able to hold her own.

Kevin Owens beats Ryback
This one is probably wrong, but I can hope!

Seth Rollins beats John Cena
He gets to win this one, because...

Sting beats Seth Rollins
His number is up for the big title. Maybe Sheamus cashes in on Sting, maybe not. But Sting gets a W, Seth possibly gets in a feud with HHH over it, everybody wins.

Rules Forum / No I in Team + Heenan Family = ?????
« on: July 22, 2015, 09:09:15 PM »
There Is No "I" in Team
Pre-match Allegiance: Faction
Can be played regardless of The Boogeyman’s Ability.
When packing this card, you can only pack 1 Faction card and it does not take up a Pre-match slot in your Ring.
When you play a non-Pre-match card with your Faction's title in the text, it cannot be reversed by non-Unique reversals from hand or Backlash, and when successfully played draw 1 card.
When you are not a Tag Team or Stable and you have lower Fortitude, during your opponent's turn you may choose to blank your Faction's reversal card until the end of the turn and it is now "Reversal: hybrid Maneuver".
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Permanent     RMS logo

Dumb question: I'm assuming this works on ALL of a Faction's reversals, if they have more than one?

Rules Forum / Chaos and Pandemonium at Ringside
« on: July 21, 2015, 04:28:25 PM »
As I think I was playing this somewhat wrong last year, I want to put this out there now:

Chaos and Pandemonium at Ringside!
Maneuver: Special
When you are a WCW Superstar, this card is Multi.
When played, choose up to 5 cards in your hand, shuffle them into your Arsenal and draw the same number of cards +1.  Your opponent shuffles # random cards from his hand into his Arsenal and draws up to # cards, where # is the number you chose; for each card he draws, this card is +1D and when successfully played, he removes 1 random card in his Ringside from the game.
F: 13     D: 4     SV: 2     Unique     WCW logo

When played, I get to shuffle up to 5 cards in my hand into my deck then draw the same +1. Does the rest of the text only happens when it is successful?

Rules Forum / Beware the Cobra + Casa + No Escape = Profit?
« on: July 11, 2015, 08:08:20 AM »
Beware The COBRA!
Backstage Card
* This card is always considered revealed
Cannot be packed when packing cards with 'diva' in the text.
New Ability: "Once per turn, you may overturn 3 cards and then put 1 card from your hand, 1 card from your Ringside, and 1 card removed from the game that is not a non-hybrid reversal on the bottom of your Arsenal; draw 1 card.
When you successfully play a Superstar-specific card, you may search your Arsenal and Ringside for COBRA!, reveal it, put it in your hand, and shuffle.
Replace "Antic" with "Unique card" in the text of your Superstar-specific cards."
Unique     RMS logo

Santino's Casa
Pre-match Event
Cannot be blanked.
All cards with the same title as a card under this card are also considered antics for your effects.
Once during each of your turns, you may either: put 1 non-Unique non-Set-up non-antic card from your hand or Ringside face-up under this card, OR ACE: randomly remove 1 card under this card from the game, and then put all cards under this card into your hand.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Permanent

There Is No Escape
Pre-match Feud
All players' maneuvers cannot be reversed by non-Superstar-specific hybrid Reversal cards. Your maneuvers also cannot be reversed from your opponent's Backlash deck.
Your maneuvers are +2 Stun Value.
You cannot play non-unique maneuvers not titled Arm Bar, Arm Bar Takedown, Arm Drag, Atomic Drop, Belly to Back Suplex, Belly to Belly Suplex, Body Slam, Chop, Clothesline, Collar & Elbow Lockup, Drop Kick, Haymaker, Head Butt, Hip Toss, Press Slam, Punch, Roundhouse Punch, Russian Leg Sweep, Snap Mare, Vertical Suplex, Wrist Lock, Backhand Slap, Drop Toe Hold, Elbow Drop, Foot Stomp, or Hammerlock.
F: 0      D: 0

When packing Beware the Cobra, with There Is No Escape in play, and let's say a German Suplex (tb) under Casa - Can I play a German Suplex (tb) under There Is No Escape?

If this works, this is a deck I'd love to try sometime...

Professional Wrestling Discussion / King of Trios 2015
« on: July 02, 2015, 11:21:36 AM »
So since I already gushed about the BOLA card, I thought I'd quick talk about how awesome Chikara's King of Trios is already shaping up (and they've only announced 5 teams so far):

Bullet Club (A.J. Styles, Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson)
Team AAA (Aero Star, Drago and Fénix)
Team Attack! (Mark Andrews, Morgan Webster and Pete Dunne)
Team bWo (Big Stevie Cool, Da Blue Guy and Hollywood Nova)
Team Fight Club: Pro (MK McKinnan, Trent Seven and Tyler Bate)

The rest of the teams might be related to the 10 'Challenge of the Immortals' teams, plus one for Killer Condron, Juke Joint, and possibly Snow Troll.

...That is a weird sentence. Oh, Chikara.

I've been wanting bWo in KoT since I started following Chikara. They're a great fit and should be really interesting to see how everything shapes up. Two months away!

Here Comes the Cavalry!

This should be accurate - I know I futzed a few cards from the list I used to build the deck, but I think I caught them all.

The idea is simple: Let opponent get at least 5F. Murder him with Shoot Lock-Ups, <R> Transition Hold, <R> Desperate Throw, DLB (tb) and whatever else it takes, all at 0F, because Million Dollar Corporation is a damn good card. You can recycle all of your great Arsenal moves, removing them from the game with ability, then Money! Money! Money!-ing them back into your deck.

Eventually <R> Transition Hold will probably murder them for the win, because a 8D Transition Hold is fricking evil.

Classic Raw Deal / That Awkward Moment When You Build Your Deck...
« on: August 10, 2014, 12:56:28 PM »
So, even though I'm mostly going to miss Raw Deal events this coming week at Gencon, I still decided to sit down today to take my decks that I'd been working on and playtesting in Lackey, and build them physically so I'd have them to at least possibly play even if only in side games Thursday Night.

And everything's going well, I'm doing the (probably ill-advised) thing where you go 'wait, what? No, that card doesn't need to be in here, and I don't have any X!'

Then I hit my Revo deck, and I discover that one of the important Pre-Match cards for it... I don't even own. And I could've sworn I did! But it is nowhere to be found.

Please tell me I'm not the only person to have done this.

Yep. As of today, I am no longer a twenty-something. If it were still possible to give everyone cowbell, I would. But yeah, just wanted to express my gratitude for this little community, and for the role in it I somehow tricked Creed into giving me!

The Heartbreak Kid...The Headliner... Mr. Wrestlemania
Pre-match Event
Cannot be packed by DX.
When packing this card, your Shawn Michaels-specific cards are not Cheater or Fan Favorite.
Your Pre-match Capacity is +3, and your opponent cannot play I'm Gonna Break You.
The Activated Card Effect of your Wrestlemania cannot be reversed, and when you have resolved it, draw 2 cards.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique

Crucifix Roll-Up - Throwback
Mid-match Trademark Finisher
Can only be played as a Counter or after a successfully played 8D+ maneuver.  Your opponent must overturn cards until he has overturned 3 reversals.
When this card is in your Backlash and your non-Legend opponent uses a non-Superstar-specific card effect to prevent a Pinfall or shuffle cards into their Arsenal after a Pinfall, you may put this card into your Ring and then reverse that effect (even during your own turn).
During your turn when this card is in your Backlash and his Fortitude Rating is 10+, you may discard it and draw 1 card.
F: 40     D: 0     Unique     RMS logo

I am correct in believing that my opponent cannot reverse my Wrestlemania effect with Crucifix (tb) when I have The Heartbreak Kid...The Headliner... Mr. Wrestlemania in my Ring, yes? I ask only cause the wording on Crucifix is a little funky in terms of it saying it reverses 'that effect'. I possibly am just super tired right now and dumb.

Rules Forum / Yet Another Flawless Transition Question
« on: May 26, 2014, 10:44:30 AM »
Flawless Transition
Mid-match Grapple / Submission: Chain
Cannot be packed by Shelton Benjamin, Test, or New Nexus.
Can only be played with a non-Superstar-specific printed F: 0 Chain maneuver. When played, choose Grapple or Submission; this card is considered to be only the chosen type for the rest of the turn.
Your opponent cannot play Over Sell Maneuver in response; unless both maneuvers are reversed when played, both are successfully played.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     RMS logo

This is possibly a dumb question. Now, I know it lacks the 'Unless both cards are reversed, your turn continues.' text, but what happens if you play a reversal to just one of the maneuvers. That reversal effect is seemingly ignored, as it is still considered successfully played? So the turn would continue?

Rules Forum / From NXT Winner to Nexus Leader question
« on: May 25, 2014, 04:30:43 PM »
From NXT Winner to Nexus Leader
Pre-match Event
When From NXT to WWE is in your Ring and your opponent causes you to discard cards, he discards 1 card.
ACE: Once during each of your turns, you may flip 2 other cards in your Ring face-down and then your opponent puts 1 random card from his hand on the bottom of his Arsenal.
During your turn when this card is in your Ringside, you may discard 3 cards to put it into your Ring.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique

Question on the bolded part: does discarding to the chain trait count as 'causing you to discard cards'?

So... anyone else subscribe already? Anyone else already highly disappointed that ridiculous amounts of entrance themes are replaced with terrible generic music?

NAO win the tag titles.
Bray Wyatt beats down DBry.
Brock murders Big Show in a match that was seriously pointless
Orton retains after interference from the Wyatt Family.

And the kick in the pants we all sadly expected: Dave Batista wins the Royal Rumble.

And we thought we had it bad when the Mania main event was Rock vs Cena.
