I don't think even the biggest Tebow supporter was arguing that Tebow was better than Manning. Their point was that the guy just lead them into the Divisional Round of the playoffs and got traded for his efforts.

Earl Thomas is a beast and I can't blame you for wanting him, but BG is a beast and you'll be drafting high enough to get a top tier player in the secondary. The Lions will be in the same boat as well. I really hope our pick is high enough to land Dee Milliner from Bama.

Brandon Graham has two sacks already in the third quarter of the Cowboys/Eagles game.

So looking back at our preseason predictions I was basically dead on with Michigan though they fell on the low end of my range because they dropped two of my "toss-up" games.

Hey Queensryche how about Temple?   ::)

lol that's all I can say. Apparently Suh is also a world renowned gymnast in his spare time.

lol, you couldn't do that intentionally if you tried. His face was heading toward the ground and looking the other way. He would have no way of knowing where Schaub even was. Suh was falling to the ground and his leg flailed backward...oh no!

He coached some damn good defenses though.  And the exception never proves the rule anyway

OK then.

Chan Gailey. Wayne Fontes. Marty Mornhinweig. Brad Childress.

Four more dumbasses who never should've been head coaches.

Don't hate on Wayne Fontes. Once he left the organization exploded. He might not have been great, but being average to good is decidedly better than the rest of the Lions history.

The media locally that talks NFL has figured Andy Reid is fired at the end of the season. So QR, not all media is love with Reid.

Canadian media is thankfully immune to the groupthink that is so pervasive amongst the American media. Not to mention that Canadian media isn't nearly as stupid as American media.

And Jokerfish, Mike Shanahan rode John Elway's coattails to his reputation. I don't think Shanahan was ever a great coach. He just happened to be the one to utilize John Elway correctly.
I don't know what media you go by, but everything I hear out here says Reid is gone after the season. Regardless it's funny that all of us that have never been a player, coach, or GM in the NFL sometimes act like we know better than everybody. While its true that somebody can inherit a good team, football is a harder game to coach than most of you realize. Coaches (assistants included) are more important than in any other sport. Reid and Shanahan have both been good coaches, the problem in my opinion is that they have not evolved with the game.  NFL Head coaches need to reinvent themselves every few years or everything becomes stale and beatable.

I agree that football is a difficult sport to coach, but there are a lot of coaches out there who are just completely awful.

Andy Reid is awful. He absolutely needs to go. That's one person I will not be making excuses for.

Thank you for being one of the VERY few outside the Philadelphia area who sees what Eagles fans see.

All it takes is to watch one game. When a coach continually forces the passing game in spite of having an elite running back then he is an idiot. Cam Cameron does the same thing for the Ravens it's just that the Ravens D bails him out more just like the Eagles used to do when you had Jim Johnson coaching the defense.

Ohh Both Vick and Alex Smith out with concussions....If Foles can lead the Eagles past the Cowboys...i doubt youll see Vick again this season

Nick Foles just proved to be another awful pick by Andy Reid. He's total and utter garbage. He may be worse than Ryan Leaf.

Nick Foles is a rookie who is coming from a totally different system in college. Then he was tasked with throwing the ball 32 times! Once Vick went down they should have been running nonstop with McCoy. Blame it on Andy Reid's awful game plan, but the rookie did about as well as once could expect.

Queensryche, you are so far off base about Brandon Graham that it's not even funny. His ACL injury has hampered his explosiveness and he's just now beginning to be healthy. You can't judge someone based off when they are hurt and/or recovering. You're just mad because your team is finally starting to suck after a long string of relatively successful seasons. As a Lions fan, I am a connoisseur of bad football, so you're just going to have to live with the fact that until Andy Reid is gone your team is gonna suck because he can't run his offense effectively anymore. On the bright side for you it looks like he is done after this year and you will be able to get a competent coach that your fan base can eat to shreds.

This performance by the Eagles should warrant Andy Reid losing his job. It's clear they're going nowhere. And if a few things went differently earlier in the season, they could be winless right now. This team needs a new direction.

On the bright side, Jason Babin did something useful. Congratulations Babin, you whiny female dog. Keep at it and you might be forgiven for bitching about Eagles fans being down on the team. Brandon Graham also did something useful. Only took his worthless ass three years. Why the HELL Andy Reid thought trading up for a Big Ten defensive end was a good idea, I'll never know. Either he's stuck 30 years in the past when it comes to college football, or he's eaten so many cheesesteaks over the past 14 years that it's clogged his brain and made him unable to think clearly.

This right here is exactly why Philadelphia fans have such a bad reputation. The guy TORE HIS ACL and you are whining because he's producing now that he is recovered from it. That's such a ridiculous complaint. I've seen more of Brandon Graham than probably this entire forum combined and I can tell you the man is a beast. He is a great athlete, a tremendous player and a downright decent human being with his charity work. You have a lot of legitimate complaints about your team, but he is not one of them.

The lay off killed all the momentum the Tigers got in the ALCS. Their bats grew cold and they just kept swinging at bad pitches. The Giants found out real early they didn't need to put anything in the strike zone to win. Aside from Verlander's bad start the Tigers pitching had a great series. When you give up 3,2 and 4 runs in World Series games you expect to win those.

For whatever reason Detroit just keeps grounding into double plays every time we get runners on base. They keep swinging at terrible pitches.

Tigers did that to themselves. San Fran came out hot and the Tigers just panicked.

Fister needs to come out and calm the team down tomorrow.

« on: October 24, 2012, 11:12:23 AM »

Seriously though, I understand the Giants are going to come in with a ton of momentum and look to break this series open early. For the Tigers the key is going to be shutting down their momentum early and make this series a pitching duel. If Verlander comes out and does his thing in game one and the Tigers take game one in San Fran we could put ourselves in very good shape. A split in SF with three games in Detroit could be it.

I'm going with the blatantly homer pick of Detroit in 5.

I have bought from Nevansdaddy a couple of times as well, but I never went for any chase cards. I bought a bunch of low demand cards for around a dollar a piece and had no problem. I've also bought many times like Velacards and Comicbookdepot too. Never had a problem with any of them.

*Rick Rude and Bobby Heenan come out to the ring. Heenan grabs a microphone while Rude crosses his arms in frustration behind him*

Bobby Heenan: This isn't fair. We need to restart the match because my client was bamboozled. I paid Jack Tunney good money to ensure that Rick Rude would come out in last third of the match. We had a legally binding bribe! When they forced Rick to come out at the beginning of the match he was not ready. He had not even started his pre-match stretching routine. I will not leave this ring until this situation is resolved...

*Ultimate Warrior's music hits. Rude shrugs off his robe while Warrior rushes down to the ring. Warrior slides under the bottom rope and proceeds to hit three stiff clotheslines in a row on the Ravishing one. Warrior follows that up with a military press slam and a big splash! Rude is out cold and only Bobby Heenan is left in the ring with Warrior. The crowd is going bananas as Warrior shakes the top rope and then stares down the Brain. Heenan tries to flee, but he is caught by Warrior who flings him over the top rope*

Gorilla Monsoon: I guess Heenan was leaving the ring after all.
Jesse Ventura: This isn't right Geno. Bobby and Jack Tunney had a deal.

Doug Collins is not a good coach and Philly fans deserve every criticism they get and more. I'd love to have a player like Iguodala on the Pistons.

Edit: Someone picked my first choice person.

Ravishing Rick Rude (4pts) + Ghost of a Chance (2pts) + Trick or Treatment (3pts) + Ghostbuster (3pts)

It's a non-issue. A bunch of fans were harassing Punk and he retaliated. It was against the wrong guy, but as far as I've heard they took care of that fan and he's not pressing charges.

Nothing is going to happen and nothing should happen. Fans need to know they can not touch the superstars.

Penn State's not that good, it's just that Temple is that bad. You overestimated their talent because they played well in the MAC.

So what's that make South Florida?

(You knew it was coming, Mr. Ferguson)

EDIT: West Virginia has probably silenced a lot of doubters by beating Texas and proving they're a Big 12 team. Florida topples LSU because the Tiger offense can't score for s**t. South Carolina hits Georgia like a f**kin' tornado...........t his has been a fun season.

USF is terrible. I knew they were worse than they had been, but the past year and a half under Skip Holtz has been awful. Firing Jim Leavitt has sent the program into a tail spin.
