Sports Discussion / Re: Iverson is pulling a Brett Favre

Pulling a Brett Favre????

That is pitiful.

Let them do what they want. Second guessing is human nature, they just are doing it publically. Hard to give up what they have been passionately doing for majority of their lives.

I was indifferent to who won. I just didn't care for either team, but the more I heard of the Saints players and their contributions to New Orleans rebuilding from Katrina. I sorta jumped on their ship.

Drew Brees made me believer. He is a special man and player.

Yes, I wasn't happy about the questionable play by N.O. defense against Favre. Give them credit for doing what they had to do to get wins.

They ain't the Aints, anymore. Winning Super Bowl erases all prior debacles.

I'm not on as much as I used to be, but I strangely kept trying to get back in.

Just miss the days of Raw Dealin, trading and pwning.

Sorry for the loss.

Remember the memories and cherish the good times.

Some of what was said is factual, but none of us were there.

It's common knowledge that Favre and Teddy didn't care for each other. Thompson wanted to put his mark on team, but that's hard to do with a legend in camp. Bottomline they both, Brett and Ted went about it wrong.

Do I like it Favre is playing for Vikings? Hell no!

He has right to play. For whatever reason he decided that playing for someone else is better than playing for team that went 13-3 in 2007. Random to say the least.

At the very least, Brett has made a horse's ass out of himself with all this retire/unretire mickeymousing around.

I'm actually happy about this. Everyone says he's coming back to get his revenge on the Packers, but now we get the chance to get our revenge on him for being the dirty Judas he really his. I'm looking forward to the Packers breaking his legs, what a moron.

Judas? Really?

Packers traded Favre when he came back. He wanted to be a Packer.

Let the man play football. Granted playing for Vikings isn't what I had in mind, but what you going to do.

Favre will disect the Packers defense and Teddy will just stare blindly into the night.

Sad it had to end this way.

A good player once told me, "If you have to rely on Divine, it's probably too late." So, I understand it being one of the cards you dropped.

Who said this?

I find it to be complete failure.

Even so being judged guilty by something you don't participate in doesn't carry a whole lot of weight.  If McDonalds judged him guilty of leaving a messy table who cares, it's not very effective, just a moral victory for the judging parties.  It begs the question, why try someone you can't punish?

Then in next breath ask the USA to come bail their asses out of trouble.

Fair enough.

The US system is just Fail. Everything about it and how things are done stink.

Ummm a solid no.

Let's see what the reaction is the next time an act of terrorism takes place.

I mean when your feeling a bad hangover, just back that ass up to the shower door and spray like a cat.

I've been laughing about this since I read. I would give a million dollas to see your GF's face as that went down.

No one is willing to figure things. Just crying about NPE's and losing to this and that. Good grief, people!

Rant...........ends .

Good night!

Classic Raw Deal / Re: Dumbest mistake you ever made in a game of Raw Deal

Two that come to mind  was:
LCQ Chiacgo #3 seed Hurrifriends Vs. Edge - didn't play product endorsements first, lost the match because of it, knocked out in the top 16.

Brian you're slipping.....

That match was Hurrifriends vs The Leader of Edge Army. I sat and watched Cole reverse everything you played. Understandably you were upset. The card advantage generated by LoTEA didn't help matters as Cole was winning that war, too.

Good God people. This is the bottom of the barrel, lol

Toss a couple raw deal cards in da wish sandwich. Fiber ftw

Some suggestions, but not experienced in this area
1. Hit up the soup kitchens
2. Dumpster dive
3. Give up the ass for a couple bucks
4. Scrape the bread across floor for a meaty surprise.

No one, and I repeat no one, should have to eat po man's sketti

I did get a good chuckle out of this.

These have to be printed and I need to play just for fun.

So many possibilities.

Rampage is amazing.

Build him toolbox. Diving takedown and shoots to get rid of opponents hand. Do redemption and HIAC for pesky matchups.

Rumi's First of All Evolution
Patching's First of All JBL

Exactly! These decks destroyed the last "Official" LCQ and Worlds. Overlooking them got people pwnd.

I didn't have all of them in one deck. I had Tajiri, Revo Cena (strictly fun), Mr. PPV, Homecoming Home Team. Rick did ok vs some of the decks, but it was in my favor by about 2/3 to 1/3 overall. Ric was switching between Andre and BFM with his build.

It almost makes me wonder if FOA should be get errata that it can't be packed by BFM...

No Creed.

It means people need to learn how to play Raw Deal!

Your Town, Fan love an underdog tb, bitter rivals, I'm gonna break you all wreck this design. Ric can attest to this!

Banning or errata is completely unnecessary. Reading and understanding cards is what should be addressed.

Not so much a female dog, as a bewilderment.

Before the soon coming Gen Con there hasn't been a wide variety of different formats for qualifiers. That is fine.

I just saying my first experience of Tornado tag games will be at Worlds, most likely.

No excuses being made. I haven't played RD since Feb. 2 games vs. my own decks. So since Origins 2007 I have no tourney level games to my credit. I won't embarass myself with a half assed showing at Worlds.

So you say play RD. Easier said than done. No one plays here and nobody has their cards anymore. Sad really.

Organized Play / Re: Worlds 2008 Format - Opinions wanted...
« on: July 28, 2008, 09:25:12 AM »
Tornado tag? WTF is that?

I have never played a game of TT.

Right now I'm 50/50 on playing. I will be at GenCon, but seeing Tornado tag on the menu has me laughing.

Worlds should be AA, AB, Revo. Those are the formats of qualifiers 2007. If people want to play in any of the qualifiers to get their ticket to worlds, fine.

Something to consider. Worlds is on Sunday. How long will it last? 1-2am is unacceptable as far as I'm concerned. When will it start? 10am or noon?

I am qualified for Worlds. These decisions will decide if I bother playing.

Do the Lita trick. Play heel. No show for quick count ref, let heeling begin.

Build up hand in pre-match using these cards...
Underrated  Tb
No show

Goal is to get Lita 0F action that that makes next card 0F and ignore can only be palyed text into Quick count ref. If that falls through you have Tech DK fallback. Play alot of plunge and Trash talk interview in pre.

Sorry I don't remember card names. I have played meaningful RD since August 2007.
