Online Play / Re: Anyone play online anymore?
« on: March 19, 2020, 05:53:31 PM »
I was one of the more active online players...but honestly have moved on to Pokemon. My interest in Raw Deal started to go away with the lack of interest in the actual product the WWE puts out. That plus real life sucks right now, and I just have the time to sit down on the computer to play. Pokemon at least has the app to play on my phone anywhere I go plus theres a ton more players and shop support

I put my 2 cents in discord.

What if the wording was changed to match that of nWo Poison? Where if a players ends their turn with attempting a maneuver, they overturn 6. Allows blue to exist, BUT they still have to throw moves if their turn isnt ended by a reversal or and opponents effect.

I honestly dont care either way, just throwing it out there.

I've fallen into the trap of "X is beyond broken and will run over everyone" during spoilers and initial release....only to find out that it really wont. How about everyone waits until everyone is released and you play the actual game before criticizing and deciding what is "stupidly broken"

I dont think that should be a rule. As CRASHER said (I think atleast haha), worlds should show who is the best, not who has access to more cards

Some quick notes, I can look later and add to it:

Legendary Defense and Jimmy cant be packed together

Your Psychology cards becomes blank when playing Drawing a Blank

You cannot pack A Revolution of the Mind with Step Aside/Escape Move/Break the Hold

Once is Enough is Face, cant pack with Heel cards

Does lowering the damage with Sustained Damage be considered as responding to it?

Yes, activating a card effect is a response

Virtual omniFAQ:

Response, Respond
-A player responds to a card by playing a Reversal card, activating a card effect, even if the card is not in their Ring, or activating their Ability.
-Cards that a player may not respond to will still trigger effects from cards in the Ring or Abilities. EXAMPLE: Diamond Dallas Page will still discard for his opponent's copies of Old School Psychology when he plays It's Me...It's Me...It's D-D-P. EXAMPLE 2: Leader of the Edge Army will still draw and cause Raw Guest Host to discard when Raw Guest Host successfully plays The Price is Raw. EXAMPLE 3: Raven will still draw when Festus hits him with a maneuver protected by ....

Creed was made aware of this at release (by me). I believe he noted it for revisions and I'm sure he has passed all of his notes on to Eric

Desperate Struggle
Mid-match Maneuver: Special
Cannot be packed when packing Mid-match cards with 'panic' in the title.
Can only be played when you have lower Fortitude, with a non-Revolution printed F: 0 3D- maneuver from your hand; this card gains that card's maneuver type. Your opponent cannot play Over Sell Maneuver in response, and unless both are reversed when played, both are successful; unless both cards are reversed, your turn continues.
During your turn when his Fortitude is 20+ and this card is in your Backlash or Ringside, you may remove it from the game and shuffle 1 card from your Ringside into your Arsenal.

Does Desperate Struggle keep its played move typing once it's in ring, or does it revert back to "special"?

Fantasy Cards / Re: A Few Non Specifics

Mid-Match: Action
Your opponent cannot respond to this card.
Cannot be blanked.
During any turn, If your opponent complains about the state of Raw Deal, he can only play non-virtual cards.
F: 0 D: 0

EDIT: During any turn, If your opponent complains about the state of Raw Deal, put this card from any area into your ring; and while this card is in your ring, he can only play non-virtual cards.

I'm satisfied by its ending...and some may say that's a real meh thing to say, but I hardly feel that way coming out of a movie that ends a saga like that.

As for what's next, I'm banking we get a little taste in far from home.

I tried only packing the 6D- pesky moves: Claw, Classic Claw, Precision Kick, etc...just didnt have enough umph to it.

No, you must have Once a Horsemen, Always a Horsemen in your ring. It's the same sentence, so it has the same qualifier.

You are correct sir. None of the new female superstars are divas

Virtual Raw Deal / Re: Do we know when the set is gonna drop?
« on: February 18, 2019, 05:37:46 AM »
Let's appreciate the newest set and the effort the team puts into each set for a bit longer before asking for the next one. It's only been a couple of months, and they do this work 100% for free and have to take away their own spare time to do the work.

Oh, that and part B if V9 hasnt even released yet, which is purely support for existing superstars.

But if you really need an answer:

When will it release? When its ready
Who will be in it? You will know when the dev team wants you to know

This might be a good place to mention any general big event ideas in one thread still too

I'm still pondering an April 6th event in the afternoon (day before Mania, get it done in time before takeover and all) and somewhere in NJ, at this point I may just pick a resturaunt I used to eat in all the time and try to reserve like 10-15 seats in the corner since they're dead Saturday afternoons (and as long as people eat there all will be happy) .....anyone gonna be in the area for Mania, so I can judge interest better?

I'll only go if it's in Allentown

Rules Forum / Re: Winning side

You cannot. The cost to activate is only removing 1, BUT since it is a required discard for the remainder of the effect and you cant fulfill it, you cant use it.

Pre-match Event
Your Tyler Breeze-specific cards cannot be blanked.
At the end of the Pre-match phase, put up to 3 cards from your hand under The Selfie Stick, face-down or face-up; draw 1 card for each face-down card, and for each face-up card, your opponent puts 1 random card from hand on the bottom of his Arsenal.
Ignore the 'less than 6' text on your Buying Myself Some Time.

Buying Myself Some Time
Mid-match Action
Can only be packed by a Superstar with a printed 5- Starting Hand Size.  Cannot be packed by Eugene, Ric Flair, or Test.
Before your Draw Segment of your first turn, when this card is in your Backlash and you have 5- cards in your hand, you do not have a card with 'interest' in the title in your Ring, and your Enforcer is not Test, you may put this card into your Ring; draw up to 2 cards, your opponent’s Ability is blank until the start of your next turn, and he skips his next Draw Segment.

Is #MMMGorgeous suppose to say "ignore 5- cards" to match the newer text in Buying Myself Some Time?

Virtual Raw Deal / Re: New to Raw Deal. Asuka Superstar Question

Thank you. And I don't understand what the backstage area is. How many cards are you allowed to have there? Those cards are in the same area as your superstar right?

Might be text overload, but here is the OmniFAQ entry:

Backstage Area
-The new zone of the game is called the Backstage Area.  Enforcer cards and Superstar cards are all revealed from the Backstage Area.
-The only cards legal to pack in the Backstage Area are those with specific wording that allows them to be packed, or cards named by the Superstar Ability that may be revealed.
-All Enforcer cards now have Most Recent Printing stating that they are revealed from the Backstage Area.
-Cards revealed from the Backstage Area are not considered to be in your Ring Area.
-You do not have to reveal every card in your Backstage Area.  Cards that remain unrevealed cannot be used in the game until they are revealed.
-The Backstage Area follows the Face/Heel and Raw/Smackdown rules for deck construction, and must correspond to your Arsenal and Backlash deck.
-You cannot have more than one of each card in your Backstage Area.
-'Hide' is a new term in Raw Deal. When applied to Backstage cards, they are no longer revealed, and have no effect on the game.
-The Backstage Area is a public area of the game, an opponent may see the cards in the Backstage Area during the game.
-Unless specified, only one copy of any card can be packed in the Backstage Area, with the exception of Test who can pack and reveal two copies of Unique Backstage Area cards like WWE Signing Appearance.
-Unless otherwise stated, Backstage Area cards are revealed when revealing the Superstar card.  This is done simultaneously, including choosing any Enforcers from revealed Enforcer cards.  There is no option to wait until an opponent has revealed his Backstage Area cards or chosen an Enforcer to make these choices.

So....basically, they are the upright purple cards, that are revealed with your superstar card that have additional effects that affect the game. Asukas specifically has some maneuvers listed that she makes better, and her prematch card interacts with them even further

Virtual Raw Deal / Re: New to Raw Deal. Asuka Superstar Question
« on: January 25, 2019, 03:47:26 PM »
Tricks, I'll defer to someone else, though you may want to look at her backstage and prematch cards as well to find some help there.

There is a rule that Females cannot pack multi maneuvers. Initially, the printed cards had that text, but it was later replaced with an overarching rule to reduce text on cards.

Promo means "Look at X (whatever # is listed after "Promo:") cards from the top of your arsenal, put 1 in your hand, and the rest into your ringside pile"

Unprettier - Throwback
Trademark Finisher / Reversal: Special
When played as a Counter, cannot be reversed from Backlash.
As a reversal, reverse any Grapple.
When successfully played, put up to 1 card from your Ringside under The Selfie Stick.

I believe this is the only card Breeze has that moves a card under Selfie Stick, but does not reference "face-up or face-down". Does that mean you can choose?

Maybe look at Morrisons cards who make him higher and lower SSV simultaneously? Not sure if the wording is similar or not

That is of course, if that's what you intended
