Rules Forum / Re: "From a card"

I ask because regardless of it being non unique or unique, the heat trait is still the heat trait not the card effect or the card itself. The same way Don't be a douchebag would be able to ignore discarding two cards to reverse a chain.

But Dbag CANT ignore the discard 2 for chain because that is coming from the trait, not the card. Just as the omniFAQ states for Heat, it's a trait, not card effect so it gets around Rattlesnake

So if I was playing The Rattlesnake and I am a heat deck would I still be able to play non unique heat cards because of the heat trait or is it blocked by the Snakes ability?

Straight from the omniFAQ:

-Heat is a Trait, not a card effect. Hell in a Cell Match and The Rattlesnake's ability will not prevent Heat cards from being played from your Ringside pile, nor will they prevent Heat cards from being removed from the game if cards are moved from the ringside. EXAMPLE: Foil cards played by Triple H, Undertaker and others listed while a Cell is in play, or Unique cards played against The Rattlesnake will still trigger Heat removal if they move cards.

Any non-hybrid reversal can hit it
Any unique reversal can hit it

General Discussion: Raw Deal / Re: Is there a list of formats?

Dont think there is, but it really is as follows:

Virtual Classic
Virtual Revolution
Virtual All-Axxess
Tornado tag (unofficial format)

That, and idk if this was the point CRASHER was making, Technical Drop Kick is not considered a set-up ever when played as a move. Note that the "set-up" is attached to the action part only, not the strike portion.

The 3 venues are as intended

An A-List Return     (Maryse logo)
Backstage Card
When packing this card, you may pack Total Divas.
When the top card of your Arsenal is an action, and you would discard cards for your opponent's effects, you may instead overturn the same number of cards and then put this card into your Ring.
During your turn when this card is in your Ring, you may remove it from the game, shuffle up to 5 cards from your Ringside into your Arsenal, and then search your Arsenal for 1 non-Unique maneuver, reveal it, put it on top of your Arsenal, and shuffle.
Unique     RMS logo

Is the bolded text written as intended? Or maybe I'm reading incorrectly, but wouldnt the search be pointless since you're shuffling after putting it on top?

Yes, ACEs do not break the chain of events since it's not a played card. 100% legal play

No, Unorthodox is trying to add the "can not be reversed from your opponents hand" to the move and RMS says no

Virtual Raw Deal / Re: 'cannot be reversed"
« on: August 17, 2018, 04:10:33 PM »
SW Slam TB and Its great to be back here in... are completely different cards in what they can reverse.

SW Slam can only reversed cards that specifically "Cannot be reversed". If it could reverse something that "cannot be reversed from hand", its text would state something like "Reverse any card with 'cannot be reversd' in the text"

It's great to be back here in looks for a non-unique card with a can only be reversed restriction which means it is looking for that text, whether it be arsenal only or backlash only, etc.

Does this answer your question?

General Discussion: Raw Deal / Re: Virtual All Axxess, do you play it?
« on: August 10, 2018, 10:30:58 AM »
I have never attended worlds, so my opinion may not hold much weight in this...I've always been against the format because Revo and Classic were never truly meant to mesh. Should've died with the introduction of virtual...and if there was legit reason to keep it at that time when I wasnt playing, then so be it. And FYI, I never consider any form of "because it's always been that way" as a legit reason. Not to offend anyone, but that's a lazy man's answer

I think it would make preparing for worlds easier for some, maybe make it more likely for then to come....oh and I feel like this could make the developers job a little easier not having to keep VAA in mind when creating new cards

I wish I could vote no AND no fun, but I voted just no :)

So maybe a CRASHER1 or CRA$HER account will randomly pop up just to vote?  ;)

Virtual Raw Deal / Re: inside cradle to a multi
« on: August 09, 2018, 08:21:37 AM »
In the timing breakdown:

5a Targeted opponent may play a reversal card or generate a reversal effect. (If he plays a reversal card, that card will follow its own Timing Breakdown sequence.)
5b If you played a card with Multi, targeted opponent may play or generate a second reversal after the first reversal has completed all effects and damage.
5c If the card is completely reversed, the Timing Breakdown ends.

The reversal you play first goes through it's own timing sequence in which its effects fire off before anything else. Therefore, if you qualify for the win at the time of playing inside cradle, game ends there, even before him taking the damage from the inside cradle.

Confirming Daeva's last note, we intentionally use the public spoilers as an opportunity to catch things we might have missed, and make corrections before final release.  I wouldn't start planning your 2019 Worlds deck with the new guys just yet... :D

I already have, and am ready to make everyone....BO-LIEVE!!!!!

Rules Forum / Re: A couple shinsuke questions.
« on: August 07, 2018, 09:32:13 AM »
It is only one move being played, and therefore only 1 response to play reversals would be allowed. 1 oversell, 1 playing of sustained, etc.

Regarding ascensions ability: Is overturning for card effect same as overturning for damage?

Both effects state "card effect" so it cannot be damage

Rules Forum / Re: A couple shinsuke questions.
« on: August 06, 2018, 02:43:34 PM »
Also, how does Shinsuke interact with reversals like Oversell that determine the move to be successful? Do you overturn double? Or can the second instance of damage be reversed on overturn after overturning the first instance for Oversells effect?

Man there is a certain melancholy in seeing the very last SS cards that I will have worked on.

Gonna miss your art, Tim. Thanks for all you did

Since we are not ready for Asuka, does that mean we just wont ever see her and you were trolling us the whole time saying she was in the set?

Said it in discord...not sure if you're there or not, so congrats!
