Throw Into the Corner Turnbuckle - Throwback
Mid-match Action
Your Lock, Stock, and Barrel maneuvers are blank.
During your turn, when this card is in your Backlash, you may put it into your Ring.
During your turn, when this card is in your Ringside, you may discard 2 cards and then put this card into your Backlash.
ACE: Once during each of your turns, you may discard 2 cards and then your next card played this turn is considered to be played after Throw Into the Corner Turnbuckle and after a Set-up card.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique

can i then play

126/181 (ULTRA RARE - FOIL - Shane O' Mac logo)
Coast to Coast
High Risk + Trademark Finisher
Can only be played after a successfully played 6D or greater maneuver or the card titled Throw Into the Corner Turnbuckle or From the Top Rope.

i ask because Coast has the RMS and a printed requirement; i don't know if "considered to be played" counts here

In my Lackey Tournament match last night my opponent had House that Hardcore Built and Raven's Playground out. I threw a Kitchen Sink and he responded with Chair Shot Block as a reversal.

Per the above ruling with Brass Nuks I allowed it, I didn't want to cheat the dood.

It's not really a situation I see coming up often but yeah a ruling for future ref would be neato. Definite head scratcher. I always assumed (wrongly I guess) that a foreign object/reversal hybrid was only a FO for the maneuver portion. :/

Chair Shot Block
Strike: Foreign Object / Reversal: Special
When played, you may remove 1 Foreign Object in your hand or Backlash from the game; if you do, this card is -5F.
As a maneuver, this card is +10D.
As a reversal, reverse any Foreign Object and discard 1 card, when the reversed card has 'sink' in the title, any other Foreign Objects played this turn are considered not to be played.  When you have Allegiance: ECW, draw 1 card.
When this card is in your Ring, it is considered to be an ECW card, and when any player's Everything and the Kitchen Sink is reversed, that card is removed from the game.
F: 10     D: 0     Unique      Permanent

Raven’s Playground
Mid-match Action
When this card is in your Ring area, all players’ Foreign Object cards are –6F. If you have the card titled Chair Shot in your Ring area, your cards titled Drop Toe Hold are +5D. As a Mid-match reversal, you may put this card into your Ringside pile to reverse any non-unique card played by your opponent and end his turn.

The House That Hardcore Built
Backstage Card
This card is considered Superstar-specific.
Can only be packed when you have an ECW card in your Backstage Area.  When packing this card, you cannot pack nWo cards.
Your Foreign Objects are -4F, and your opponent’s non-Unique reversals to your Foreign Object and Extreme cards deal no damage.
Your Revolution ECW Originals gains your logo, and cards with "ECW" in the title do not take up a Pre-match slot in your Ring.
Unique     ECW logo     RMS logo

Are the modifiers above to Chair Shot Block applied when played as a reversal?

Heidenreich defeated Raven via count-out.

did he chase him to the back screaming "BUT I HAVE A POEM TO READ!!!" that would be amazing!!!!

"Quoth the Raven..."

Superstar Ability: Your superstar Value is always considered to be 0. Your opponent cannot respond to your cards titled Drop Kick, nor can he prevent you from playing them; they are considered superstar-specific. You may pack Tough Enough! and High-Flying Style. You cannot pack Over the Top Rope in your Backlash deck. Your opponent's cards titled Underrated Superstar, Overrated Superstar and cards with "Rookie" in the text are considered blank.

Inaugural Tough Enough Winner
Pre-Match Event
Cannot be blanked.
Your Tough Enough! is considered Permanent and +10 Damage, can be played from Ringside or removed from game and while it is in your ring before your draw segment each turn you may look at the top card of your arsenal and place it either on the top or bottom of your arsenal and draw 1 card.

Around the Stars
Backstage Area Card
Your starting hand size is +4 and your opponent's superstar value is +3. While packing this card you may pack 6 cards titled Over the Top Rope in your Backstage Area. They cannot be responded to, can be played as if from Backlash and do not take up a mid-match slot in your ring.

My issue is picking a deck up and realizing that while it isn't bad: is there another that can do this same thing or something similar but better and faster?

we're at 17 people!!!! Any chance of getting an even 20?

Rules Forum / Bookerman and WCW Title TB Question
« on: April 06, 2018, 07:57:36 AM »
The Bookerman
Starting Hand Size: 5     Superstar Value: 5
Superstar Ability: Your opponent cannot play Reversal cards from his hand or Ringside pile to your Volley cards unless he first removes the top 5 cards of his Arsenal from the game.
You may pack any cards with the Booker T logo, but you do not count as that Superstar.

WCW Title Belt - Throwback
When this card is in your Ring, once during each of your turns when your opponent reverses a maneuver from his hand, ACE: you may reveal a non-unique Action in your hand. If you do, remove the reversed maneuver from the game (or, if you have a non-Faction card in your Ring with a Ric Flair, Booker T, Goldberg, or Sting logo, put the reversed maneuver on the bottom of your Arsenal), your turn does not end, and your next card played this turn may only be the revealed Action. After you play that card, end your turn.
Superstar Value +2     Universally Unique     Permanent

If Bookerman has the TB WCW title belt out and someone removes the top 5 of his arsenal to play a reversal from hand or ringside to a volley card (per his ability) do they need to remove 5 more to play a reversal from hand or ringside to a volley action that same turn that's played per the text of the title?

OR does the removal of the top 5 cards from arsenal cover them for playing reversals (hand or ringside) until all end of turn effects are finished?

Okay here's my chance to fail from game 1, here we go, I'm in.

Virtual Raw Deal / Re: Can we talk about The Rocking Chair...

I read "forces you to shut off your ability" and got lost.

Being afraid of doing anything in Raw Deal will come back to bite you in the end (at least for me). Recover like a nightmare and let him draw to his heart's content. A deck only has so many cards and even less reversals.

Crash Holly is definitely one of those "I wish we could" old wrestlers. But there just ain't the pics, alas.

I hear ya! The irony is thick considering this seems to be an issue during the Attitude Era which wasn't popular AT ALL. Damn you, Vince.

You cannot pack "A Revolution of the Mind".
Your opponent's Superstar Value is considered to be 4 for your cards titled "Unexpected Turn of Events" and "Quick Reflexes". When you play one of those cards you may draw up to 2 cards. You may remove a card from the game with "Underrated" from your ring to reverse any action card; this does not end your opponent's turn. Your cards with "Hardcore" in the title have no brands and double all numbers in their text. Your ability cannot be blanked or switched. Ignore the "Before any players' Draw Segment" text on your "Evening Up The Odds".

The Scale
Backstage Area Card
While packing this card you may pack the card titled "World Wrestling Federation Hardcore Title Belt" in your backstage area. When you reveal this card place it into your ring area and then look through your opponent's arsenal.
While packing this card you may pack the cards titled As Big and Tough as Any Two Men and High-Flying Style.

Pre-Match Event
Cannot be blanked.
Do not discard for Armageddon is Upon Us.
While packing this card, your cards titled "Underrated Superstar" are not active or Unique. While this card is in your ring area or ringside pile they cannot be blanked, can be played from ringside and do not take up a Pre-Match slot in your ring.

Weighing in at Allegedly Well Over 400 Pounds
Reversal: Special
Reverse any card. Draw 4 cards. When overturned this card is removed from the game.

The Houdini of Hardcore
Mid-Match Action
Can only be played if a card with "Hardcore" is in your ring area. Your opponent cannot respond to this card. Search your arsenal for 1 foreign object and 1 non-unique reversal and put them into your hand.
When you opponent successfully plays a foreign object you may put this card from any area into your backlash deck.

dilbert, you like getting DQ'ed the second you play that DLB don't ya? ;)

It may not come as much of a surprise that I haven’t built a B2B deck in years. (Or, for that matter, that I don’t have the opportunity to check Lackey at work.)

Zero judgments from moi, I'm actually toying with an Evan Borne B2B build at the moment

Why no old School Raw? I'd cut an Old School Antics for it easily or heck use it as a mid-match reversal

Rochester and Your Town have been kicked in the nads virtually though

and I always find Baghdad always bites me in the ass, plus if he goes tb WWF title (which he should in b2b) he'd never get to use the effect from it....

isn't Bray blocked from Dallas/Denville?

Sorry, I should've read Bray's cards in full, never built him before :/

theres plenty of "venues for the sake of venues" that would be worth it.... Parts Unknown might be nifty for you since you are going b2b, also so could Dubuque or even the on one (since you are tied to backhand slap and one thing to say as your can't be reversed stoppers

you almost might consider Old School Cage as well as a stip since it's very good at stopping them from abusing cards like thrust knee lift and the like and shifting your own recovery to more unique-type cards as well (Krystal is still good since it doesn't get affected)

this deck has a decent idea, but I think the arsenal needs work...i don't see manager interferes either or am I losing my mind?

Venues? I'd say Rochester, Your Town, On One, Dubuque, Denville, Dallas or Baghdad.

Maybe some Clumsy Opponent and Always Have a Plan B? Kristal Broadcast Beauty? McMahon intervention?

General Discussion: Raw Deal / Re: Suoerstar Spotlight: Dusty Rhodes

Fun fact: 'Dusty's Legendary Longevity' was originally titled 'The Dusty Finish', which is what the effect was intended to replicate :D

Um may I ask why someone ROBBED US OF SUCH A GREAT CARD TITLE, ha ha

General Discussion: Raw Deal / Re: Suoerstar Spotlight: Dusty Rhodes
« on: February 07, 2018, 08:49:14 AM »
1.)  How viable is this superstar?

I'd say very, Dusty can draw or recover depending on who the opponent is and how you tailor the deck to alter either player's superstar value.

2.)  Is there a Superstar Specific Card that you'd like to spotlight?

Yep! Two, actually:
Dusty's Legendary Longevity
Mid-match Action
Cannot be packed when packing Wrestlemania.
During any turn when you would lose the game via Pinfall Victory, you may put this card into your Ring from your Backlash or Ringside, shuffle up to 10 cards from your Ringside and 2 of your cards removed from the game into your Arsenal, your opponent puts up to 1 Trademark Finisher from his Ring into his Ringside, and end the current turn.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     WWF Classic logo

Better than Wrestlemania, in my opinion. Pack this with Writing Checks and/or Gooker and Survivor Series and Dusty can live forever, baby.

Common Man Boogie
Action + Action
This card ignores Hell in a Cell Match.
Shuffle this card and up to 2 cards from your Ringside into your Arsenal.
When this card would be removed from the game, put it on the bottom of your Arsenal instead.
F: 0     D: 0     Unique     Multi     WWF Classic logo

Who doesn't love constant cycling even in a cell? Jeez!

3.)  How have you built said superstar?  How did it work out?

I haven't yet but I mean to. Obviously Legend Support. Classic maneuvers are sweet, especially with Common Man because you can pack three copies of the best ones!

4.)  How well does the Superstar fare in whichever format you built them in be it VC/VAA/NXT/VR/Non-Virtual

I think he'd shine best in Virtual Classic

5.)  Final Thoughts on this Superstar?

He seems to be one of those decks that can out draw and out live the opponent. Looks like a fun build.

Tomorrow February 5th.

Thank you Mitch.

Does that mean we can potentially play tomorrow or does that mean end of day today?
