Post by: Mtg4life on September 03, 2017, 05:12:44 PM
Thinking about putting together a volley list. I dont wanna play the bookerman. Any ideas on what superstars go good with volley.. N also is volley a garbage mechanic or is it decent?

Try someone like the 4 horsemen since you can play the FF and Cheater Volley moves and get the best of both worlds....and reversal power out the Wazoo

The Blue Blazer is a fantastic Volley consideration.

True Volley/Chain is REALLY good and Wade Barrett says hi to!

I tried D-von Dudley Volley with Managed by Lita. Huge Drawing Power. The only drawback is the recovery.

Babe of the Year is a potentially disgusting Volley deck.

I was considering babe of the year also.i havent really got hip to the virtual yet even tho i want to. Is it a good idea to play egomaniacal to kind of null n void the volley ability or not worth it.

If you're Babe of the Year, Egomaniacial is probably overkill.

Actually, I only like Egomaniacial in Kevin Nash, Randy Orton, and Torrie Wilson.  Nash puts it in play when he hits a big or specific move, Orton can get the Ego Boost to make it 5F, and Torrie can get one end or the other of the combo (and can realistically hit it at 9F once her ridiculous 9F non-unique Arsenal Action hits the table).  Of those three, Torrie can't realistically be Volley, but the other two could be very intriguing Volley decks.

Harlem Heat is also a very good Volley deck - they get 5F free and permanent, the Volley numbers are doubled on Strikes, and they get the really good Booker T support.

Volley has had a lot of success since Virtual came out - you can probably make it work with a LOT of the superstars in the game so long as they don't have maneuver damage caps in their SSA.  The biggest key is sticking the initial fortitude - if you can lock down 4-6F consistently early, then you'll be in great shape.

I mean, that hurts like hell (RFG 13 off the top of the deck I believe) but it's definitely possible.

I'm a big fan of Babe of the  Year volley. She loses out on the multi maneuvers, but they're pretty few in quantity. Bookerman is a great choice since he's made for it. Spike Dudley is one to think about. If they get Volley traited on their turn and have no moves, you pick one up and draw 3.

Chris Masters isn't a bad thought either. If they're reversing from hand, you can force them into a volley lock by removing your opponents moves
