Here's a Shelton deck I'm testing out for a pure classic tournament. Let me know what everyone thinks!

PreMatch is my biggest concern right now...thinking of running Linda to get extra since I don't have F/H and don't have Champ is Here as of now to get extra form there.

Strategy is pretty straight forward as Shelton is mostly trying to get maneuvers through for his ability. I am trying to combine it with Straight Shootin' Interview to remove even more. My original issue was getting fortitude early so that's why I have the 3 BASH prematch. It allows me to have a good head start with fortitude plus I can play Shoot Counter first turn!

NOTE: There may be a few cards you guys suggest I don't have, so obvious omissions are probably due to that, but go ahead and list cards anyways so I know what cards would be good to get for this.

Anyone have any suggestions? I am thinking of getting 3x Shoot Actions but not sure what to take out.

Also always wondered, does Sharpshooter count as a shoot card for effects like straight Shootin interview?

I haven't built a Shelton deck in so long that I don't have that many good suggestions for you, but I can confirm that Sharpshooter is a card with "shoot" in the title, just as Apply Illegal Leverage is a card with "leg" in the title.

Updated. I also got some Shaprshooters (TB) to potentially add but idk what to remove. If anyone has any ideas, let me know!

I'd toss the Kicker Holds. 3/3 isn't exactly setting the world on fire. Even with +5D, it's only giving you 3F.

the shoot kickers should stay in my opinion, they are essentailly zero fort, and if reversed twice shelton gets to shuffle back 2 cards.

Really? Does all superstars with reversed reaction effect get to do twice for multi? Team angle opponent discard twice for reversing a scoop slam TB, billy and chuck get to draw twice if his opponent reversed a lariat take down with 2 elbow to the face from hand, etc.

No I don't think it's true, Shelton shuffles in when a card is reveresed. Even if it's multi, he only shuffles 1 if fully revered. The only time he'd shuffle 2 in is if he played panic + another maneuver and both were reversed, I believe

You only reverse the TB Scoop Slam ONCE (though the amount of discard you do to do it is a bit insane to deny 2 F), team Angle and Shelton's abilities refer to actual reversal, as opposed to say R: Kurt Angle which refers to actual playing of a reversal even sustained damage

CRASHER and niiiiiiiiiick are correct, as per the OmniFAQ. If Shelton's Ability triggered off of just playing a reversal card, then he'd be able to shuffle if the opponent reversed one piece of a Panic Grab combo. He can't. Shelton only shuffles 1 for Multis.

Isn't that contradictory to the ruling of Revolution of the Mind, that has to be removed, even if it's the first reversal of a multi on overturn?

Yet another case where card text is important when bringing up these things in a rules forum. 

Shelton only cares when your opponent actually reverses a card not per reversal played.  On a multi, the first card only reverses half and not completely reversed.


Per your thinking that it's contradictory, it's not really.  Most reversal cards reverse,  some say completely.  And Shelton cares when you a card is reversed.

Revolution of the Mind
-If this reversal is overturned and reverses the maneuver, it is removed from the game before it reaches the Ringside pile, and will not cause the removal of Heat cards from the Ringside pile.  This happens even if the maneuver is a Multi, and this card is the first reversal to it.

Hey Niiiiiiick old post was creeping in this grave yard...how did this deck work out for you? Sharpshooter beig a "shoot" card was revelatory.
