Superstar Spotlight: The Bookerman

Alright guys, I've noticed a few new people joining TCO. So I'll give a brief explanation how this segment works. Twice a week I will be posting superstars by request. So if you are stumped on a deck, can't make it work or just curious simply message myself or Drew with your request.
These are done in order of request. So if it takes a week or so please be patient. We promise we will get to your request as fast as possible.

Please keep those requests coming. Today's is another 'request' in The Bookerman!!!!!


1.)  How viable is this superstar?
2.)  Is there a Superstar Specific Card that you'd like to spotlight? 
3.)  How have you built said superstar?  How did it work out?

The Bookerman
Starting Hand Size: 5     Superstar Value: 5
Superstar Ability: Your opponent cannot play Reversal cards from his hand or Ringside pile to your Volley cards unless he first removes the top 5 cards of his Arsenal from the game.
You may pack any cards with the Booker T logo, but you do not count as that Superstar.

Although it is stuck only to Volley Maneuvers, but his ability is just too good.

2.)  Is there a Superstar Specific Card that you'd like to spotlight?
You Shall Address Me As KING Booker! & The King's Court.
To let him play more Pre-matches and not just stuck with Pyrotechnic Volleys.
 
3.)  How have you built said superstar?  How did it work out?
Volley with One of the Big Boys. Works well.
I will choose Big Boys over Opening Volley as Opening does not protect Multi Volleys.

4.)  How well does the Superstar fare in whichever format you built them in be it VC/VAA/NXT/VR/Non-Virtual
Awesome. Just too Awesome.

5.)  Final Thoughts on this Superstar?
Definitely a Tourney deck. Would like to try Bookerman again if i can get my hand on his set again.

Very fun and strong competitor for a top deck just based on the ability, even though it streamlines your playstyle.

2.)  Is there a Superstar Specific Card that you'd like to spotlight?
The Bookerman

Superstar Ability: Your opponent cannot play Reversal cards from his hand or Ringside pile to your Volley cards unless he first removes the top 5 cards of his Arsenal from the game.
You may pack any cards with the Booker T logo, but you do not count as that Superstar.

This ability is very strong, and interactive for both players. "Do you want to fill your deck with more volley to take advantage of the ability?" for the Bookerman player, as well as "Do I want to reverse now? Can I take the drawback for doing so?" for the player playing against Bookerman. It's fair somewhat, and can take an unprepared player by surprise.

3.)  How have you built said superstar?  How did it work out?
No, but played against a few. Initially thought it was dumb and unfair, but it still is possible to win with careful plays.

4.)  How well does the Superstar fare in whichever format you built them in be it VC/VAA/NXT/VR/Non-Virtual
Feels like VC didn't really do much for Bookerman, just made his prematch phase a bit better and made some cards more synergistic for him.

5.)  Final Thoughts on this Superstar?
Fun to play with and against, although it can be a NPE against newer, less experienced players.

6.) Since this Superstar is a Legacy one (in that he was in the game before Virtual) can you elaborate a little on how Virtual has changed this Superstar?
It made an already good superstar better. Very strong and competitive.

I'd say he has the absolute most devastating ability in the game. A forced removal of 5 CARDS! That can easily cripple many many decks.

As stated above his ability is damn good. He will mess you up fast. Doesn't even need to have fortitude to win. Just try to throw moves.

Never made him for myself. Made him for a friend years ago.

4.)  How well does the Superstar fare in whichever format you built them in be it VC/VAA/NXT/VR/Non-Virtual 

If Volley moves are allowed he will dominate.

5.)  Final Thoughts on this Superstar?

REALLY, REALLY strong deck. If built with enough recovery he can auto pilot to victory.

He's still as dominate in Virtual as he was pre Virtual.
